How long does it take for Lyrica to work?
I have been recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia and have started taking Lyrica. How long does it take to notice if it is going to work?
I don't think the people on here are idiots and my doctor doesn't have fibromyalgia so I am trying to ask others who might have the same condition. Thanks for being the smart one on here buddy....

1. you should be asking your doctor not a bunch of self-trained idiots here
2. For the full effect about a month. But that is just me it might be different for you. I have RSD so idk.
3. I share your same problem. I'd check out multiple medical sites to and see what you find. Go to the national Fibro site. They probably know or you can email someone at the other end
4. after living with fms for 30 years--and diagnosed for 9--it is my experience taht teh doctors are idiots--they cannot think for themselves--
i have heard it shoudl start workign within a week---but you may start feeling better right away--i think thats what i read on teh lyrica website
its teh snris (cymbalta, savella) that take a few weeks to relaly work
5. Your doctor is your first line to getting help with fibromyalgia. That being said, fibromyalgia is very hard to treat as different meds work differently in different people. If the Lyrica doesn't seem to be working within a couple of weeks, contact your doctor. Also, it is always a good idea to find out as much as you can about your condition and any drug you are put on. The internet is a wealth of information for you so that you can help yourself feel better. Six months ago I started taking the drug low dose naltrexone for my fibromyalgia and I have been having great results. I learned about it because of a trial that Stanford University did with fibromyalgia patients. They recently posted the results in a youtube video. I'll give you the url so you can see it for yourself.
