What are some ways to relieve lower back pain?

Any good stretches or sleeping positions?? I'm not looking for medicines, just things I can do to relieve the pain. I don't know why, but my lower back is extremely sore and uncomfortable. Any thoughts?

1. about it you can get information from here http://medical-md.notlong.com/?q=Tramadol&qid=20090614215339AAG0hON

2. Some people sleep on their back, and put a pillow under your knees. personally i think sleeping on your side would feel better, and put a pillow between your knees.

Also, heat should be soothing--use a heating pad, or hot water bottle. They sell thermacare wraps in stores, which you peel off the strip and stick it on your lower back. They warm up and stay warm for up to 8 hours, which is nice to be able to have on at work/school.
Although you do not want medicines--if the pain is muscular (which it probably is), ibuprofen is an antiinflammatory, and will help.
