What's the best treatment for fibromyalgia?

Public Comments

1. This is a REAL Medical condition that as yet is still rather UNKNOWN, in that while it affects muscles..stiffness etc.(bone structure)..it should be treated by a medical professional, as it may progress untreated..It is common between the ages of 20 to 50, but dont hold to that age beleiving it affects ONLY that age group.

Read all about it ,by going to places like Google (or whatever)
and typing in >> Medical Fibromyalgia and you will find a number of
Sources with explanations..Do see your medical professional though please, as this condition can be painful.

2. I do not know what the best cure is . but on this webpage there are some wonderful home remedies..

You need to find a good doctor who has experience with treating FM patients, There is no reason you should live in pain. Every person has unique symptoms (usually multi-layered) and need different treatments. Normal procedure seems to be drugs like Lyrica/Neurontin , vitamins, exercise and strecthing.

4. an individualized treatment

techinically-it isn;'t progressive--in that there is no known progressive damage to the body--but the symptoms can get worse over time

it is believed to be a disorder of the central nervous system--regulating that (neurotransmitters) is the most promising treatment

it is not inflammatory
not autoimmune]
not caused by musculoskeltal/rheumatism/artritis disease
not thick body fluids
not a vitamin deficiency

while those conditions can cause similar symptoms--they do not cause REAL fibro
