Can some one confirm this fibromyalgia treatment?
So, my wife has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia a couple of years ago and searching on the subject i found this website.
http://christiangoodman.com/fibromyalgia/
I googled this Goodman fella and he seems solid but i hope someone can confirm this as true or "working".
Thanks

1. I don't mean to discourage you and your wife but just about anyone can start a website that appears authentic and give themselves a devine sounding name ;) Your wife may benefit from similar principles such as getting physical therapy (PT) which includes light stretching and strengthening exercises, water/aquatics therapy and such but please only consider licensed professionals with a reputable track record. If wanting to get PT, a person almost always need a prescription from their family or treating physician.
Here's a site (should be non-profit as it has an '.org' as opposed to a '.com', for commercial) for more info on fibromyalgia. Perhaps there is a local support group too: http://www.fmaware.org and can search for support groups and other info. Wishing that you wife gets some relief soon.
P.S. I have fibro and please have your wife check with her doctor but I take the over-the-counter supplement, glucosamine and chondroiton (they're not always together in the same formula but may be more effective together). It's not a panacea either but it seems to help my diffuse pain, and I also have neck and back problems and sciatica (sciatic nerve is longest nerve in the body and is pinched). I take 'the vitamin shoppe' brand that also contains bromelain (substance found in pineapples and may have anti-inflammatory properties) and quercetin which is an antioxident also found in apples. Just food for thought though everyone is different and not all supplements work the same for everyone or are right for them. I still have plenty of pain but if I run out early, I definately notice a difference in my pain level. Please do ask her fibro doctor (perhaps rheumatologist?) about it.
2. go to: www.fibrohugs.com i have rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia. this is a great site!! lots of information :) take care..
3. quack-quack -quack- i hear those ducks again-
this is pure quackery....
research is showing it is most likely a disorder of the central nervous system-and neurotransmitters
if you have an oxygenation problem--you will have paina nd fatigue--but that is NOt REAL fms....ANDit is NOT focused on the trunk area--there is a high rate of pain in the limbs
i had a seizure--it reversed the symptoms by resetting the electrical system in my brain--and they have slowly come back over 6 years---this evidence supports the neuro theory....
kinda like when your computer malfunctions--and you restart it--and it works
the COMPLIMENTARYMEDICINE info is wrong--
real fibromylagia canNOT be treated by a chiropracter--and it is NOT a rheumatic condition
4. Fibromyalgia is a rheumatic disorder that causes pain and tenderness in the muscles and soft tissues. The latest treatments for fibromyalgia, which are presently accepted by the medical community, consists of acupuncture, massage, and sleep therapy. Even yoga and meditation is also very good for fibromyalgia, as they relaxes and stretches the muscles. Consult first than opt for any kind of treatment. You can visit this you will get good information http://complimentarymedicine.tv/doctor_index_4900.html
