1. just get a fresh air outside of your room or house
2. Ice to head and feet in hot water. The ice makes the veins and arteries in your head contract and the heat makes the veins and arteries in your feet dialate. The pounding sensation stops in the head. I know it sounds crazy, but it works.
3. chapstick rub on forehead, or the caramex chapstick with camphor
4. Swing your arms, move your arms vigioursly back and forth.
Here is what I got from www.tesh.com
Like if you have a headache – don’t pop a pill, simply swing your arms. The Chinese call it “Li Shou” – which means hand swinging and it’s proven to stop head pain. Just move your arms vigorously back and forth 10 to 100 times, depending on the severity of your pain. The swinging diverts blood flow from your head to your extremities. And that reduces the swelling of blood vessels in your head that are causing the ache.
Are you tired? Here’s the ridiculously simply fix: Tap the top of your head. Or tap just below your knees. Either spot boosts energy immediately – that’s according to University of Michigan Health System Researchers. They found that study participants who used this tapping trick stayed awake during all-day lectures – and felt more alert than others tested. Why? Because the top of the head and just below the knee are acupressure points than change alertness.
One more quick fix – this time for high blood pressure. If you feel yours spiking – just stop talking! And not just about “hot button” issues like work or money. It turns out that talking about anything raises blood pressure. By contrast, sitting quietly can lower it by HALF! Why does talking raise blood pressure? Because it can be frustrating to get other people to listen and understand you and to get your point across. That’s according to University of Maryland scientists.
