are there any at-home remedies to cure a headache?
anything i can do without medicine?

2. Sometimes just a slow walk will heal a headache.
3. put heat on it then ice go upside down its fun and works ;) just don't forget to get right side up again

Ginseng tea / extrcat
Or just plain old Meditation. You're doing the right thing by not using medicine. Good luck to you, I hope it gets better!
5. well, anything can be considered medicine- even herbal remedies. But if you really want to take the long route to getting rid of a headache, alternate heat and cold on your neck and forhead. Good luck- but aspirin, acetomenaphen or ibuprophen is quicker. Also, coffee can sometimes help.
6. Try having someone massage the site of the pain; yes, I know it's in the head, I mean the specific area.
7. I get blood pressure headaches, and have found that increasing my water intake substantially helps. Also quit salt.....there's more than enough naturally. Even the tap water contains salt. They filter water through it to clean it. Try bottled water if you haven't already. You might need glasses..........you can get terrible headaches from eye strain.
In sever cases an ice pack helps me
Note also that headache remedies can be habit forming. You get a headache because you didn't take the pain killer regularly! I don't blame you for trying to break free.......
8. caffeine works every time try a Coke or a cup of strong coffeee
9. Make your thumb and first two fingers into a triangle, place them at the nape (lower part) of the back of your neck where the skull ends and apply a little pressure. Works for me.
10. if you are a caffeine drinker and haven't had any you can get a headache so try some caffeine...
also you may be dehydrated so drink some water or gatorade.
these things have helped me avoid taking medicine on many occassions
11. Soak a rag in rubbing alcohol and place it on the back of your neck. This will open the pours in you neck and release the heat that is trapped in your head that is creating all of the pressure in your head. I usually keep it on the back of my neck of 10 minutes and then place it on my forehead for 5 and switch back and forth between the two.
12. As an RN as well as a migraine suffer...Believe it or not (???):
Try soaking in a hot bath...As hot as ya' can stand the H20...While soaking, sip on either a cup of java, or hot chocolate. This is how I had to treat my son when he started getting migraines at 18 months young...As RN did NOT want to RX him!!!
Caffeine can bring on headaches but, can also cure 'em!!!
After ya' bath etc., lay in a dark room, with an icepack, or just a cold washcloth over ya' forehead. Massage your own face, head, neck and shoulders, or get someone else to do those and your back. Relax your muscles.
-- Press on two pressure points at the back of the neck. These
points are about two inches apart, just below the base of
the skull. Press for a minute or two. This releases
endorphins that help against pain.
If these continue there is a options at health-food stores...Such as Feverfew and, numerous other natural vitamins, minerals, magnesium, etc.
