What are some home remedies for sinus infection and Headache?

Public Comments

1. Deep breathing in steam works really well for me.

2. Musinex worked wonders for me a few weeks ago.
Try getting a washcloth wet with hot water. Be careful not to burn yourself, but get it as hot as you can so it is steaming. Place it on your face and breath in the steam as best you can. It will open stuff up, and sooth the pain in your face

3. If you are having colored drainage, sorethroat, headache etc..
You probably need an antibiotic. To keep you confy till then, use saline spray 3 times a day in each nostril and take an OTC decongestant such as Sudafed and motrin for the headache.
Good Luck!

4. An infection requires real antibiotics. BUT a natural remedy for headaches is peppermint oil.

5. Oil of oregano. You can buy it at a store like trader joes or
Boneys.......health food type stores. Get the liquid and
you put a couple drops in some water 2-3 times a day.

I have sinus problems and this really helps. It is something
that you do in your daily routine, but its worth it.

Good luck

7. This is what I use:

Sinus infection: Echinacea capsules, 1 cap 3 times a day.
Garlic pills : 1 cap 3 times a day.

Headaches:
Japanese oil of peppermint, ten drops in a warm bath then soak for as long as you want (this also helps the sinus')
use the oil and rub into your temples, sit quietly (preferably in above bath) or lie down in a darkened room. Usually works by 30 minutes.

Good luck.
