1. Sounds like round ligament pain.
And there is nothing you can do except be supportive and understand that pregnancy is NOT easy.
2. Could be a cyst on the ovary that forms in early pregnancy called a Luteal Cyst. It helps nurture the baby in early pregnancy. Many women get them and don't know but I had low abdominal pains and ultrasound showed the cyst. It will go away on its own.
3. It may be serious or it may not. The best way to find out is to have a check up with her doctor.
It will put your minds at ease and she can have a happy worry free pregnancy.
Congratulations!
4. ur wife needs to see a doctor... the only thing that makes me say this is because its intense pain... if it wasn't to serious than i wouldnt worry..
if shes getting dizzy or feeling sick with these pains it could mean she is having an eptopic pregnancy, which a doctor needs to see straight away..
In other cases, Lower abdominal pains early on in pregnancy can also mean twins
I had a fair bit of abdominal pain in early stages, sorta like gorwing pains. a stitch is the best way to explain it, it would only last for a second and go, it was absolutely nothing to worry about, i just had to take it easy and not make any sudden movements.
good luck.. please let me know how she goes

5. This is completely normal so both of you rest assured! Don't let her stress out over it be sure and tell her its normal. I was about 5/6 weeks along and experienced the same thing up until I was about 12 weeks along. I rushed into the ER first thing because I was so scared I was losing the baby ( I had been trying to concieve for almost a year and so everything scared me in the beginning ) When I went into the ER with these pains in my abdomen the doctor told me they were completely normal. Its from your uterus stretching so much and all your muscles in your abdomen and all your organs "making room" for baby. But a lot of it comes from the uterus stretching so much. I'm sure you're thinking...but in the first trisemester you don't even show and in the end your uterus is huge...well the amount that the uterus stretches just in the first trisemester is the biggest percentile of change. The uterus is multiplying itself in size by 5/6 times!! After that the growth is pretty much gradual even though the uterus is getting huge hehe. Good luck to her with the pregnancy and congrats on the babe! I wish her a safe and healthy delivery!!
