Anyone taking Cymbalta?

My doctor prescribed Cymbalta for me today. He says it will help with the "blues" and also my fibromyalgia condition. I've heard good AND bad things about this drug. I would love to hear what you guys have to say about Cymbalta.

1. Cymbalta is an anti-depressant that works through the neuro-transmitters in your brain. It is extremely effective for nerve pain, or neuralgia and fibromyalgia as it works differently from other pain killers.

I took Cymbalta for nerve pain due to cervical radiculopathy. It worked where no other drug would, not even morphine. No side effects whatsoever. At least not until a few developed and I had to discontinue using it.

Give it a shot. If its possible to relieve you're pain and depression with one pill, why not go for it?

Chronic pain is not easy to deal with, this drug seems to offer hope in that direction.

Good luck to you.
