I have a chronic pain condition which is being treated with the drug Lyrica.?

The condition is not Fibromyalgia, but one in which after an injury the nerves in a specific site of the body react unusually to stimuli. Can anyone tell me if this is a condiion that goes away, or is it a permanant condition? Any information would help. I believe it is called Acute Chronic pain Syndrome.Thank you For your help in advance! Lyrica is what he perscribed, but I am trying to just find out more about my nerve condition.

1. I am not sure of the name of your condition however I can tell you that nerves do not have the ability to regenerate themselves which means any damage is permanent and can in some cases be progressive. A Neurologist could help to explain this better. Lyrica will help to control the pain but there most likely is no cure or treatment for this condition.
