I have fibromyalgia and my doc just put me on lyrica today. What am I looking at time wise for effectiveness?

I have been on Ultram for 2 years and I'm tired of taking it and am actually having to take a medication so my body can with drawl from the Ultram. So know my doctor has me on Lyrica and Welbutrin for the Fibromyalgia so I'm wondering when I might start feeling some relief. The one benefit of Ultram is the relief is immediate, but it's not worth the with drawls or physical dependency your body goes through. does anyone have any advice, tips, or insight on when relief is expected? I'm taking 75mg twice a day of the Lyrica and 100mg once a day of the Wellbutrin.

1. I have not tried Lyrica for my fibro, but I wanted to wish you luck with it. I know some who have had success with it and others who have stopped due to horrible side effects. I hope you can find some relief from it. Good luck!

2. Lyrica is good ,but as with any other drug different drugs work different people. But it good, and it takes a couple of weeks but you should start feeling relief soon.

3. i had all kinds of pains and problems for about 2 years, until 1 day i went to meet a doctor and in 1 day he diagnosed me with fibromyalgia, and he gave me neurontin, they work wonderful! i take 1 pill a night, and i have no pain at all, and i can actually sleep through the night, if i forget a pill i cannot sleep and i have alot of pain and problems, maybe ask your doctor about that. the prescription i have says 2 pills a night, be he said taking 1 is ok if thats all i need :) really its like a miracle, good luck
