How quickly does Lyrica control fibromyalgia pain?
I was recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia and have been experiencing a great deal of pain, obviously, both now and prior to the diagnosis. I have been to the emergency room twice when the pain was so severe I thought I was going to lose my mind. (I had back labor with my daughter and also had a forceps delivery...the epidural did nothing for my pain...worst pain in my life and the pain I am having now is either the same or worse than labor!) I am taking pain meds now (oxycodone 10/325 w/apap) 3 times a day and some days it barely contains the pain. I will begin Lyrica tomorrow but wondered how long will it be before it takes effect?

1. I H AVE BEEN ON LYRICA FOR THE LAST FOUR MONTHS. I HAVE FIBROMYLIA, LUPUS AND DIETABES. LYRICA WILL SHOULD START HELPING. I AM SO SORRY FOR YOUR PAIN. I UNDERSTAND BECAUSE IS A BIG PART OF MY LIFE. OXYCODONE WILL CAUSE YOU TO HAVE PAIN AFTER IF WEARS OFF. I TAKE 150 MG OF LYRICA . NO IT DOESN'T ALWAYS RELIEVE ALL THE PAIN BUT IT DOES MAKE LIFE MANAGABLE. GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS. PRAY
