Fibromyalgia, Lyrica, Omeprazole, High thyroid... Please help I know something else is wrong...?

I'm 15, f, 127lbs diagnosed with fibromyalgia and taking lyrica, which makes me feel super dizzy nauseus, zombied, icky. Also felt like i was having heart attacks doc said the acid in my tummy was eating away at a muscle behind my heart? Taking Omeprazole, same effects as the lyrica. I just got my blood tests back and I have high thyroid stuff. I'm always in pain, exhausted, nonstop worried, and constantly getting sick. Does anyone have any advice? Idk it feels like some other weird thing is going on....
My mum has guienne barre and her dr really listens, but it's not like i can drive up there on my own, so I do still have a lot of unanswered questions. i don't know what the thyroid stuff means for me, and I don't feel any better from the lyrica. I have a high fever fluey symptoms right now so I have to wait even longer to get another blood test. Thank you for answering, I was afraid that nobody would know what i was talking about or care...
I'm on depo, can that affect the thyroid stuff maybe? I can't stop the lyrica, I think monday I should be better flu/allergy wise and I'll do another blood test to double check. What would the treatment be for the thyroid stuff and if i dont have fibro what is the lyrica doing to me? Also, would I be allowed an antianxiety pill? I can't stop worrying and stressing out about everything

1. I am so sorry you are struggling with this. I've had Fibro and CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for over 20 years and understand what you are going through.

I tried taking Lyrica and it seemed only to exaggerate the problems I already had. Some people have had success. Be sure to report all to your dr. The Omeprazole is strictly for your digestion/stomach acid problems. I've had this problem off and on for many years. The Omeprazole is one of the better meds to soothe that problem.

You will need to be very proactive in seeking help for your symptoms. If your questions and concerns are not being answered to your satisfaction, see another dr. -- perhaps a specialist.

Apparently, this is still a mystery disease and no one seems to have any answers. You can learn a great deal by doing internet searches to learn more about it, but I'm afraid there are no answers that will rid you of this disease. You feel like some "other weird thing" is going on. My symptoms have completely mystified me. It seems to interfere with my nervous system. It interferes with sleep, causes pain any and everywhere in the body, and many other symptoms, none which seem to make sense.

I wish you the best.

Irma

2. theres a good chance you don't have fibro--and only have a thyroid problem---which is more treatable-----

if it were me i would want to discontinue any fibro treatments----address teh thyroid and see what happens

3. Most fibromyalgia is caused by a bacteria, borrelia burgdorferi, which causes Lyme disease. So most fibromyalgia is actually undiagnosed Lyme disease. The tests for Lyme disease are extremely inaccurate, so even if you've been tested for Lyme, which you probably haven't been, a negative test means nothing.

You should see an LLMD (lyme literate medical doctor) to see if your problems are actually caused by Lyme. If they are, there's hope! Because there is real treatment for Lyme disease, unlike fibromyalgia drugs, which only mask the symptoms, and which you'd probably have to take the rest of your life.

Here are some resources to start your research.

4. Ask your Mom to read this, also.

It is important that you test Saliva pH.

It is supposed to be 7.4, just like temperature is supposed to be 98.6

Sounds like yours will show a much lower number.

Overly Acid Fibromyalgia is one of 4 Versions of FMS.

Stomach pills for acid are no help if you have a saliva acid problem.

Don't expect your doc to know this.
