How well does Lyrica work for Fibromyalgia?

My doctor gave me 75mg of Lyrica to take at bedtime for Fibromyalgia. I'm curious if anyone can tell me if they have taken this low dose and if they saw any improvement in the stiffness of joints and muscles. Everything I've read so far was relief after taking 150+ mg several times a day.

Thanks!!

1. I've had Fibromyalgia for 35 years, long before there was a name for it. I tried Lyrica at 75mg and all I felt was very drugged. And from the research I have studied on it you need to get up to 300mg a day over a period of time before you see real results.

I have heard other people say it really helps them. All you can do is try it and see if it helps you.

I got more relief from anti inflammatory medication. The every bodies body is different, so what works for one may not work for another.

2. I have Fibromyalgia and arthritis. Last month my doctor started me on Lyrica. I didn't see any difference except weight gain. I really wish they could find something that works!

3. I don't know anything about Lyrica but I can tell you what I take that helps my fibro. I have had fibro for over 12 yrs. I take Guaifenesin for my fibro. You have to learn how to take the med properly for it to work on fibro. Here is a book you need to get either from a library or you could get it at ebay or amazon cheaper than a bookstore.

Here is a website for more info and for an online support group for those who take guaifenesin...

It is not a cure and it is not a pain
med but it has allowed me to stop taking prescription pain meds. I used to take them constantly. Check it out.
