Does anyone know if the Mirena coil causes knee pain?

I had the Mirena coil fitted just over 3 months ago and it has been fine, really had no problems. But recently I have this deep ache in my legs and groin, especially in my knees, I find it hard to walk up the stairs sometimes and if I have been out anywhere I am in agony when I come back. I am currently waiting for a hospital appointment to see about this, but it just seems such a coincidence that it's happened since it's been put in. Has anyone else suffered from this or similar? This is the perfect contracepiton for me and really don't want to have it removed unless I'm quite sure it is that! xx

1. yes i had the same problem though the pain didnt radiate as far down as my knees i was told that my body looked to be rejecting i was the same as you in agony and very annoyed for it to be removed as apart from that it seemed perfect but hionestly if you happen to be going through the same as me have it removed there are plenty of other contaceptive devices you can try though this a chance it may have nothing to do with a coil good luck with your hospital appointment i hope it goes well
