What are possible causes of knee pain during exercise? How can knee pain be alleviated?

Public Comments

1. sincerely, if you have knee pain and don't know why, then you need to see a doctor about it. temporarily alieviate the pain with ice packs, knee braces, stretching and slower warm ups/downs

2. The knee is a complex joint and is often the cause of distress for many athletes. The best way to alleviate the pain is to strengthen the muscles which support the knee i.e the quads and the hamstrings. You can find exercises to do on the net. Also try biking, that helps alot.
Make sure you warm up and then stretch all your muscles before you play, that's the best way to avoid injury. But you should consult your doctor in any case to make sure it's nothing serious.

3. Thank you for asking us at Yahoo but I would suggest you to consult an orthopaedic doctor.
