started cymbalta, 2 days later big bumps appear on arms.what is this?

Have Fibromyalgia, started cymbalta 2 days ago, itchy bumps appear on arms. What is this

Public Comments

1. This could be hives-- an allergic reaction to the medicine. See your doctor asap to rule this out.

2. if you read the leaflet inside the pack, it can be one of the side effects, it says they can take up to 2 weeks to get into your system, I have been on them a couple of months now (not for the same thing) and luckily had no side effects, I would give it a few more days and see if they go down and stop itching, if they don't or they get worse then I would go back to your Dr and tell him, It may be there is something in them that doesn't suit you, hope this helps :-)

3. We use an SSRI med, and only if we have these symptoms and they came with the FMS:

Depression, Anxiety/Panic, Obsessive/Compulsive, and Procrastination.

If you do, ask your doc for prescription for generic Paxil (Paroxetine). It's $9 for 90 days worth at Walmart pharm.

I don't know of any reason we would take an SSRI / SSNRI.

Beating all symptoms for over 8 years.
