I know it is not proved but Those of us that live with it are sure to be trying to solve this mystery for ourselves. Do you think it was medication you have taken? A car accident? Do you remember when the symptoms started?

1. I was in my 20's happy and healthy when I started getting the symptoms. I did have a Hepatitis vaccine a few weeks before I started having symptoms and I just felt it had something to do with that. That was the old hepatitis vaccine with the live virus, not like the vaccine they use now. When I had gotten the vaccine I was told I might have body aches and pains or flu like symptoms and I did and when they didn't go away I went to a dr. and told him how long should I expect these side effects to last its been over 3 weeks and he said he didn't think it was the vaccine and sent me to a specialist and that's when I was diagnosed. Anyway I have since realized that when I don't get a good night's sleep my symptoms are worse. Stress makes my symptoms worse. And quick severe changes in weather make my symptoms worse. I have also realized that anti histamines, like benedryl help me or anything for PMS like Midol helps.

2. each time i had a significnat injury (at least a severe bruise) or illness--my symtpoms got worse

I had 2 serious injuries at age 5---and teh symptoms started around than

3. Internal, emotional stress, and how we diffuse it as humans, I believe, is at the root cause for F and for Chronic Fatigue, that which I suffer from.

Better manage stress and the symptoms associated with it lessen also.

4. All of us will one day experience some sore muscles or achy ness that leaves us feeling uncomfortable. Luckily, most of us only experience this occasionally and it doesn't last more than a day or two. During that time frame we may take over the counter medications to take the edge off of the pain. Still the aching and the pain leaves us unable to relax or to rest like normal.

Individuals who suffer from the painful disease Fibromyalgia develop serious problems with their muscles and joints. As a result they suffer from chronic pain. Many individuals with Fibromyalgia have also been diagnosed with arthritis. The two illnesses combined can leave the person in chronic pain that even strong pain medications can't completely eliminate.

Fibromyalgia is a very serious disease that slowly progresses over time. There is no cure for it so the best alternative that people have is to slow the progression of the disease with medication and a proper diet. They also can use various medications to offer some relieve from the pain. The amount of discomfort a person with Fibromyalgia suffers from can cause them to have trouble completing daily tasks as well as maintaining employment.

Many people don't realize the severity of Fibromyalgia. They base the pain they experience when they have a muscle ache or stiffness from an illness against it. The difference in the amount of pain they are experiencing is difficult to describe. Since there are many different diseases that muscle soreness is a symptom of it is important that the patient isn't misdiagnosed. This can prevent them from getting the treatment they really need.

As a rule of thumb you should pay close attention to any symptoms of chronic joint pain or muscle aches. If it is associated with chronic fatigue you need to seek immediate medical treatment. Communicating with your doctor about your symptoms will help you get the right diagnosis and treatment should you have Fibromyalgia. If your doctor doesn't effectively treat you then go the extra mile to get a second opinion. Make sure you share all of the information about your condition with the doctor and inform them if they seem to progress.
