1. Try using some non prescription remedies... I used to be on prescription sleeping pills but got off these as I was developing a severe dependense on them, now I just use Gravol or Robaxacet and it works great plus the Gravol calms the stomach and the Robaxacet eases muscle pain so it's a win/win!
2. It isn’t possible to have any type of chronic illness or disease and not have challenges along the way to better health. When you are talking about the fibromyalgia disease, things are often even a little more complicated. This relatively rare disease causes chronic fatigue, pain, and all kinds of other symptoms like problems with concentration and depression. With so many symptoms to contend with, it is necessary to experiment with different fibromyalgia medications to get the correct combinations and dosages to help the individual person. Along with other types of therapies and methods, doctors, with the cooperation of their patients, can help relieve the symptoms of fibromyalgia while medical experts continue to search for the cure.

3. I was diagnosed about 1 yr ago. I'm 32. I'm on Cymbalta. I was on Lyrica and it didn't help much but I've heard several people say they liked it. Lyrica made me gain weight which didn't help my condition. I take Ambian and Tylenol PM at night to help me get a more restful and healing sleep. I also go to physical therapy 2 times a week and it helps a little. They teach me stretches, a few strengthening exercises and do massage. They also have a hydro-bed which is very nice. The main thing I have learned that helps is to get as much rest as you can. I have 2 kids so it's not easy but it's essential. I wear comfy shoes and try to stay somewhat active but don't push myself too hard or I'll flare. My rheumatologist suggested yoga which I plan to try. I hope some of this helps. I know it's frustrating but just know you aren't alone.
