Anyone with fibromyalgia... How do you ease your symptoms?

Let's share information and help each other:
I find that limiting my sugar intake helps overall, and when I'm having a flare up I take a hot bath and stay as warm as possible.
I also have my husband push down on the pressure points that are especially sore, but massaging them hurts.
What do you do to ease the pain?
Anyone else have flare ups with weather pressure changes?

1. i just moved to hawaii and it gives some relief without the cold. stretching helps alot. the pressure points are fabulous my husband does the same. anywhere u go u will have changes with the weather. there are rainy seasons here hurt just like the cold. i dont stay stationary too long or i find i stiffen up. also i am learning about boi- feedback.

2. well sometimes I have to take pain medication when it gets real bad.what it is really is arthritis of the muscles instead of the joints..A good diet of cutting back on sugar is good,I had lost weight also,Im not fat but any added weight will cause it to hurt worse..when you are going through these painful times a mild pain releaver helps, also a small dose of flexeral helps me ,its a muscle relaxer..heating pads can help also when you are going through these painful times....I can understand how you feel, but so far there has been no long term help..Good Luck

3. Acupuncture helps with the pain and can make the symptoms go away.Sugar does make the pain worse, I've noticed that too.Avoiding citrus, tomatoes, peppers and potatoes helps too.Getting tested for food allergies is a good thing to do because food sensitivities cause a host of unpleasant problems.

4. I haven't found anything that helps mine. I've tried several things but nothing helps....weather pressure definitely aggravates matters.

5. I don't have it but 2 of my sisters do and they do different things to ease the pain........one goes to accupuncture, she says that really helps and they are both on meds.......pain meds, muscle relaxers and sleepy time meds.........and yes, they take HOT showers and keep warm as possible. I have severe scoliosis, the joints and man..........i don't know which is worse??? I've already had 2 major back surgeries and i am about to go have a total hip replacement..........anyway, i KNOW the pain!!!!! Lets see, also, heating pads...that helps and massages.........oh! and those icy/hot patches.......they work pretty good.......GOOD LUCK TO everyone out there that knows this pain!!!!!!!!!!!!!

6. physical therapy....tylonol, advil, vicodine. vicoprofin..help. heating pads, hot baths..warmth.

cold hurts me bad. its a common symptom. also, pushing strollers w my kids in them and grocery carts set it off too..anything that involves lifting or pushing...
