Which one is better? Lyrica or Cymbalta for Fibromyalgia?

I am just looking to reach out to people who may have tried one or both of these medications for pain. Which one deserves a higher rating?
I just started on Lyrica and the side effects don't seem to be too bad. My pain has decreased about 25%-35%, which is significant, but I was just curious about Cymbalta too.

1. You can't compare them,,, one works for some people and for others it doesn't,,, Neurontin is also a drug that has been given for fibromyalgia for years with success. Here is a good link of fibro that may interest you

and here is one for some of the latest clinical trials

and here is one you can see how people have rated the different drugs

2. Lyrica made me feel like a Zombie. It makes you sooo tired you can't function so def don't try it if you work. Cymbalta is alright, but didn't help my pain very much at all.

Just as far as pain relief is concerned; Lyrica is better.
But as far as side effects; Cymbalta is better.

If you dont work and have ample time to get used to the drug, then I would try Lyrica.

Good luck, I hope you get some relief!

3. they are 2 different types of medicine--you can take either, both, or neither--you have to indivialize it...

i tried neurontin-it didn't help at all--i have only heard of limited success--i wouldn't term it successful....

cymbalta works on serotonin and norepinephrin--lyrica is an anti seizure med
