1. There isn't much she can take without hurting the baby. If it keeps happening then you can call the doctor and ask him or her to write a prescription for headaches... that is what my doctor did. Plus it is best to talk to the doctor and make sure everything is alright.
2. She should contact her doctor about the headache.
I get terrible migraines, and I currently have one that's lasted a little over a week. I haven't been able to take anything but tylenol. It helps to drink lots of ice water and avoid bright lights, loud sounds and (for me) bright colors.
3. tell her to eat alot of ice cream.....
4. Aside from taking Tylenol, not much unfortunately. I would try just lying in a dark room, maybe have you give her a headrub. If headaches persist or are severe, I would ask her doctor about them. Some women do get migrane headaches as part of their pregnancy symptoms.
5. She's not supposed to take ibuprofen while pregnant (unless her doctor recommended it for some reason).
Try an ice pack on the head. Give her a good relaxing massage on the neck, shoulders, scalp, and face. She can try a hot drink (maybe some chicken broth, nothing with caffeine or herbal tea). Maybe try a heating pad on the back of the neck for a short time (not enough to heat her entire body).
Headaches are the worst. I hope she feels better soon.
6. Try gently rubbing/massaging the little flap of skin between the thumb and pointer finger for 10 seconds. Works sometimes for me
7. She should ask her husband to give her a good, firm backrub to help relieve the stress- but stay off the bones, that hurts!
8. Not much I'm afraid. Even Tylenol shouldn't be taken very often when pregnant.
9. There is a pressure point in between the thumb and the index finger that you can massage, right where the webbing of the hand is but she should only rub it hard enough to the point that it hurts a little and not too much. She should try doing it for a few minutes and see if it helps, and if it doesn't work then she should try a little harder and for a few more minutes!! Hope this helps!!
10. my doctor told me that i could take one regular strength tylenol to get rid of headache they told me never to take advilwhile pregnant. Maybe you should give her a massage on the back of her neck and back of the head, 0r she could try relaxing in the bath, lying down in the dark. I dont know what else you can do to get rid of a headache but i know there isnt much that you can take for it
