how bad were your headaches during pregnancy?
When during the pregnancy did you have them and what were your remedies for it?
I'm 12 weeks along, I have the most incredible pain on the one side, it just won't shift! I have to go to bed and lay in the dark a lot because of it. Doc says this is quite normal because of the increased blood flow, but regular painkillers don't help a lot.

1. i had quite a few very bad headaches around the end of my first trimester and the beginning of my second. i tried taking tylenol for them but since it didn't make a difference i chose to not take them since no drug is 100% safe to take during pregnancy. one thing i found that did help is this, and i know it sounds crazy but it really did work for me.
lay on the bed or couch on your back, and hang your head off of it (upside down) for about two or three minutes. it will hurt more at first because all of the blood will rush to your head but once you sit up (slowly) your headache should be gone, or atleast much less severe. it worked for me every time.
increased blood flow is one reason for the headaches but also the hormones cause them.
good luck!
2. i am almost 16 weeks with my 4th and this time i have been getting a lot of migraines, they can be that bad that i am sick with them and dizzy have no energy cant eat anything it can be awful, luckily they will only last a few hours then turn into a normal headache, i know a normal headache can be bad enough but its a relief to have a normal headache when i've had such a bad one lol.. paracetamolain'tt really any good to me either, so all i try and do is lay quietly for a while (which is hard with 3 other kids!) and drink plenty of water also i sit outside in the fresh air for a while, that helps me a lot.
3. hmmm..thre is little that u can do...becz in pregnancy the painkillers r so light...that they dnt normally work in severe pains....

i remember having one terrbile headache....for 3 hours....constant!

4. Well, obviously, I've never been pregnant cuz I'm a man. But my wife has been, twice. I remember during her first pregnancy though she got these terrible headaches as well. I don't really think this is normal. This is the body trying to tell you something I guess...So I ask you now, how is your Blood Pressure?? Turns out my wife had pregnancy related hypertension or high blood pressure which went away eventually after she gave birth. But I know this a bit dangerous and should be taken seriously. Of course I may be wrong because I am not a doctor and am speaking only from experience. My only real advice here is to see your doctor, now!...And regularly to monitor this or firstly to find out what is causing your headaches. Take care and good luck.
5. Oh!my!,really bad!, yes, its quite normal, that's the doc very reserved response..you could ask for painkillers, but take it light, scared for the side effects.Sometimes when its too much(headaches), you just need to lay down 'till its gone. relax a quick 15 min's.in the tub, warm bath you know, Gosh!, its not easy, but thinking of the beautiful creature inside is a much, much consolations:). It'll paid-off everything you'll see.... Cheers! Take care.
6. yes those are called migraines i got them for the first 14 wks of pregnancy and i couldnt take anything for them i just had to deal with it but after the first trimester they will go away. the headaches are due to the increase of hormones and blood flow inthe first trimester. the only thing you can do is put warm or cold compress and lay down in a dark room. good luck hun and dont worry the migraines will go away
7. I'm 9 weeks pregnant and my head aches all the time! The Dr says that it's normal just like the other folks. However, I do know that a sign of dehydration is headache. I drink water all day long just to insure that I'm not dehydrated. Tylenol is a waste of time, for me anyway. Have you cut out your caffeine intake? That alone will cause terrible headaches for about a week and a half. The benefits are so worth putting up with a headache for a week or so. You may just be in the same boat as most of us....no explanation just have to deal with it! Best of luck to you!
8. I had the exact same problem went to the Docs and all they say is its normal! And you take paracetamol!
All I can say is it will get better i think i had a headache everyday for like a month but it didn't pass and i think i only took about 3 pain killers in that month.
Good luck it will get better :-)
