1. I've just been sucking it up and waiting til it goes away. Not fun, but I'm avoiding any medication.
2. I hear Gatorade helps a headache.
If you have high blood pressure because of your pregnancy, try foods high in potassium. (potato's, dried apricots, oranges & so on)
3. yea same here iv just been sucking it up and after a nights sleep its gone for me. Good luck
4. I took tylenol it wont hurt anything trust me I even took tylenol 3's in my last pregnancy and I have a healthy 3 week old now.
I had bad headaches in my pregnancy to and my dr actually said it was from dehydration that I should drink MORE water at the time I was thinking if I drink anymore I am going to have to live in the bathroom but I did it and it helped als naps and warm baths to relax help
best wishes and good luck
5. I see my chiropractor. I've had headaches too & will finally break down & go in for an adjustment. That really helps.
6. I don't know if you know but Tylenol is safe to take while pregnant. I have been getting a lot of headaches with this pregnancy and they only thing that has helped me with my headaches are the Tylenol.
7. they just did an acupunture thing on oprah today to relieve headaches. press the pressure point between your thumb and index finger, hard, until your headache subsides. mabye draw a warm bath and sit in there while doing this. turn the lights off and light a candle, just relax and see if that helps, if not its ok to take tylenol. i understand you want to avoid it but why if it is perfectly fine to take it?? i had horrible headaches when i was pregnant with my daughter and i was prescribed medicine to help. they were actually migraines and i would just throw up, it was pretty bad. you dont want it to turn into a migraine, getting sick like that is not good for the baby. good luck!
8. I tried NOT taking Tylenol during pregnany also. That lasted about the first trimester and that was it. Tylenol does not hurt the baby at all. I understand your concern though.
There is a pressure point at the nape of your neck. You will feel a groove as you press up toward your skull. Have someone massage this area and apply pressure to it using un upward motion. You can also use warm washcloths to put over your face. Make sure you are in a restful and quiet environment. I hope you feel better. Don't worry. The headaches do go away.
9. well i wont be suggesting you any medicine but just keep in mind that headache during pregnancy is a symptom of high blood pressure (which is triggered by pregnancy in some women)
n if it is accompanied with blurring of vision n swelling in feet it confirms the high blood pressure
n since a high blood pressure during pregnancy (pre ecclampsia) can be a dangerous situation for both mother n baby please visit your obstetrician
the drugs he or she wud suggest you wud both lower your BP
n cure your headache
