Severe headache in 6th week of second pregnancy?

Tylenol isn't working, what else can I do? I have a full-time job I can't stay home everyday hoping it will subside. I don't have high blood pressure so what is the problem?

Public Comments

1. Happens to me a lot. Tylenol also doesn't work - and I don't have high blood pressure - today it was 120/80. Often it is caused by low blood sugar - so I eat food and have some lemonade. It really helps a lot. If blood sugar is your problem that should help. Pregnancy is FAMOUS for giving headaches.

2. gosh, i got these at work when i was 6 weeks too. i drank a lot of water, and had fruits and veggies. it worked. stay hydrated. also, they went away by around week 8

congrats!

3. Tylenol and a little caffene. Also if that dosent help try running your head under warm water then turn it cold really quick and it shocks the nerves.

4. I had headaches while I was pregnant. I also had high blood pressure and preeclampsia. My doctor gave me a prescription for my headache that was safe for pregnant women. It had caffeine in it!

5. This is so common. I get them all the time and medicine doesn't always work. The only thing that works for me is drinking lots of water and eating a snack every 2-3 hours at work. I also work full-time and it can get difficult. Leave a pillow in your car and go and take a nap. Good luck.
