What do you do for your pregnancy headaches and weird tastes in your mouth?
I keep getting bad headaches. Tylenol just doesn't work. I also have a weird taste in my mouth. Even when I haven't eatten anything. I am 7 weeks pregnant. This is my 4th pregnancy. I just don't remember headaches this bad or the wierd taste from before.

1. For headaches, I try to makes sure that I'm eating something. For the weird taste in my mouth I chew gum.
You are very early in your pregnancy, so the hormones are all over the place. Try to relax and keep small snacks handy!
Good luck!
2. First of all, I am NOT A DOCTOR and cannot give you medical advice. If you are getting serious headaches you should contact your Dr. or midwife and ask them what works best for you in your situation.
I get chronic migraines. During my first trimester they were really bad, and I was unable to take my normal medication (untested on pregnant women). FOR ME, my midwife suggested taking Ibuprofen along with the Tylenol, and it seemed to help. However, she did specify that I had to stop taking the Ibuprofen by 24 weeks, as it can cause damage to the developing fetus after that point. I would suggest calling a doctor or nurse and asking if you could try this, too.
3. Im 6 weeks. I have that weird metallic sour taste in my mouth. Eat pickles, your pregnant.. LOL
IT REALLY HELPS. I wake up with that headache all the time every morning. It sticks. Try taking a warm bath. Because your not supposed to take medicines while pregnant. Or call your doctor, he'll subscribe you something.!!
Good Luck Mama
4. My doc said regular strength Tylenol was ok but that was it. Sometimes drinking water helps, bu if Tylenol isn't working or you I doubt the water will. Sorry.
I haven't experienced the weird tastes though...
5. I know that i felt that way with 2 of my pregnancies. I just fuzz about it. I had migraine like everyday for 2 months, I couldn't even take the right medications for it. Oh! it was a disaster. i just thought that it will go off soon.
My OB GYN told me that for the headache keep an ice bag in your head and take panadol. For the weird taste in your mouth eat an export soda crackers first thing in the morning without brushing your teeths.
6. I had a metal taste in my mouth when I woke up this morning. It went away when I brushed my teeth and hasn't come back yet. I am also 7 weeks. I get headaches every once in a while but nothing Tylenol won't take care of.
Try mints or gum to get the weird taste out of your mouth. I have narrowed that down to the prenatal vitamins because I take mine at night before I go to bed. They have iron in them, and my mouth tastes like iron or some other metal when I wake up int he morning.
For your headaches, try putting a hot, wet washcloth on your forehead and lay down and close your eyes. Other than that, Tylenol is the only meds you can take for pain and headaches.
Good luck & Congrats on your pregnancy!
7. it sounds weird but try drinking a coke sometimes the sugar can help the headache go away!! and the taste i always get some ginger snap cookies and this makes it go away for me!!!
8. Tylenol didnt work for me either. My doctor told me drink some caffienated pop and then take a tylenol. Sometimes i would just drink the pop. It seemed to work.
As for the wierd taste in your mouth,.. i used to use cinnlamon altoids and eclipse gum. It would work really well for me.
I not only had wierd taste in my mouth.. i had horrible morning sickness. :)
Good luck!! and Congrats!!!!
9. From what I understand, a big reason why you get headaches when you're pregnant is because your body is pumping out a lot more blood for the little one. Try to drink as much water (fluids) as you can. With you having 4 pregnancies I'm sure you know this though!! Good luck!
