What is the possible diagnosis for knee pain on the inside of the knee, but on when i extend it and walk.?

I had ACL and MCL re-constructive surgery in September, my doctor cleared me. Today i was kicking a soccer ball, with a knee brace, and one time i kicked it my knee immediately started hurting. it hurts in the inside of my leg. i don't remember a popping sound like i had before. It only hurts when i extend my leg and when i put weight on it. It doesn't hurt when i have it bent only when i extend it. and there is minimal swelling. What is the likely cause of this?
I did 4 months of rehab, strength training i still have full range of motion and it hurts from about 25 degrees to full extension. i can bend it all the way to ~135 degrees with no pain

1. not sure if your pain is in the knee joint or in the thigh but I will assume in the knee joint. Where exactly does it hurt? It could have been adhesions from the surgery breaking or perhaps you hyper-extended it. Did you have full range of motion without pain and what type of rehab did you finish? For that surgery, to be back to full speed in 5 months is pretty fast unless you did a lot of therapy and had full range of motion and had done some strength training too.

You probably already know the drill, but ice, compression, elevation. If it is not better in a few days go back to the surgeon and have him check it out.
