What do you take when you get a VERY BAD sinus headache?
I woke up with a nasty sinus headache today. I took Aleve & then Alka-Seltzer Sinus. It hurts so bad I feel nauseous! The Alka-Seltzer worked a little bit but I need to do things today & don't see them happening if this headache stays. I'm just glad I don't have to work today!

4. First of all, before you take any painkiller, have some solid food in your stomach sweetie ! Again, Motrim is my painkiller by choice. I usually take 4 of those 250mg and in no time, I feel again free of pain !!!!!!!!!
5. Advil Cold & Sinus works better than anything else I know. You can also take about 800mg of Motrin every now and then. For me the pain is gone in 15-20mins. If you get these headaches and pressure regularly, try Airborne-it's a preventative supplement that alleviates sinus symptoms. I hear too many people say it works.
6. Excedrin Migraine used to work for me... then I had sinus surgery and don't need it any more. I take weed for migraines... lol
7. I pop in a couple of tylenol and that usually takes care of the sinus headache within a half hour. But if the headache is really bad it takes a lot longer to get rid of. Tylenol or not.
8. It sounds like you have a sinus Infection sweetie with that headache. You need to get a antibiotic to clear up your infection. When most medications are not working its a good chance that you have a infection.

9. I wouldn't take the Alka Seltzer and Aleve at the same time. That could be why your stomach is upset. I use that Head On stuff and Tylenol, Extra Strength or Advil. For the tummy, over the counter omeprazole works.* Also, apply warm wet wash cloths to your face until you can feel your sinuses drain. Hope you feel better soon.

11. Have you tried to steam some of the crap out of there yet? That usually helps relieve some of the pressure!
I had one not to long ago where I wanted to pull all of my teeth out! So I know your pain! What I find works best is Tylenol Sinus! I swear by it! If your going to buy some make sure you have your ID ready thanks to the meth freaks!
12. breath in some peppermint tea. get a bag of rice,put in freezer until very cold. put on place where it hurts.

13. My husband uses this to keep from getting bronchitis when he gets a sinus infection, and I use it to cure sinus infections. THere are many kinds of bacteria that live in the sinuses, and this gets rid of all the bad ones!.This is the only thing that really helped me --- my Dr. told me about a sinus wash that will kill bacteria.
you need
distilled water
sea salt
liquid chlorophyll and colloidal silver from the health food store.
in a glass mix 1/4 cup water with a pinch of salt and heat to body temperature.
add 5 drops each silver and chlorophyll and mix.
using a large dropper (like one used for infant medication) drop 2 full droppersfull into one side of the nose while laying down.
Turn the head and let it drain out the other nostril. Be sure to have paper towels handy. or just use a neti pot, I like this better.
The silver kills the bacteria and there are several hundred kind that can live in the sinus cavities and anti biotics don't get rid of them all.
Do this twice a day for a week, mixing up the mixture fresh each time.
Then do it once a week for maintenance.
There is nothing in this that will hurt you, and it cured me.
I do not have to take claritin, or antibiotics anymore.
