I have recurring back pain and have trouble sitting at a desk all day. Has anyone found relief for this?
I have a chronic condition with my lower back. It is my sciatica nerve and it flares up about three times a year. I work at a desk all day and it is very painful. I cannot live on pain medication but wondered if someone out there has found a way to get relief.

1. I had a lower back pain for a good year after my daughter was born and I kep holding her using my lower back muscles. I recently started yoga and I love it . It teaches me to use other muscles while lifting or doing other things, we did do a pose that was great for the sciatic nerve but I don't remember the name. Try yoga and see if it helps. The first couple of times it will be hard but when you learn the correct poses you will feel great. Good luck
2. Have you had an MRI done? You may need surgery since you are already with symptoms. Tha doctor may need to take out the disc protruding causing your sciatica.
3. You can ta ke a large towel and roll it up and while sitting put take long soak in hot tub waterat your lower back, also sit erect good posture. at night put a pillow under your knee at an elevation of 8 to 10 inches, it will relieve pressure on the scdiatica.
