back pain! - need a replacement disc in L5-S1- help for temporary pain relief!?
My last disc has been wore down to pretty much about NOTHING! My doctors have recommended getting the disc replaced. I need some help or some tips for temporary relief for this pain- anything would be appreciated. It's unbearable :( Thanks!

1. check this out before you have back surjery. it's a newer type of procdure they are doing. go on chicagodrx.com and look into that. it's called spinal decompression and they repair the disc. I don't know where you live but just go online and it should give you a phone number for the area you live in.2. rest..

pain killers most probably NSAIDS e.g ibuprofen..
steroids to decrease oedema and pressure around nerve roots..
