What is the best way to relief back pain??
After a long day at work, my back hurts and I need to find ways to stop the pain, any ideas?

1. Vicodon
2. surprisingly, working out makes you more flexible and able to sustain painful days at work easier. also, think about getting a new matress, possibly one of those foam memory ones. if all else fails, a chiropractor can help.
3. disabillity. right?
4. Get a massage
5. heating pads are usually nice if no one can give u a simple massage
6. try some stretching excerises nothing too hard, just enough to get your muscles relaxed. then you can also try warm baths, and when you sit to watch tv elevate your feet.
7. Many people think Chiropractors are quacks, but I found it helped with my neck pain tremendously. It's at least worth a try for someone who is in pain.
8. Try to improve posture, strenghthen core muscles and do something relaxing. Get a really good chiropractor to check you out. See site below for more on a specific chiroractic technique in case it is something serious. An MD will give you a painkiller like Vioxx.

9. Doing some exercises to strengthen your core muscles will help to slow down the pain in your back, however I would also suggest soaking in a warm bath or shower and do some stretches while you're in there. It will relax your muscles so that you can feel better. You might also want to pick a couple of yoga moves to stretch your muscles before you to to work, so that they will be warmed up for your day.
10. Best way is to ask your partner to massage your back. If you dont have a partner, get one now.
11. I agree with Chris C; working out and stretching help alot.
I do exercises at the YMCA to help arthritis in my back.
For meds; ALEVE also helps. :-)
