does using a back support vest help with lower back pain relief?
what type/brand to go for and some details on how it can help with pain relief should be included..

1. it's best to talk to a PT about this if you can or a doctor because those back support vests arent really that great.. the average ones arent.... they mostly help prevent injury and encourage proper body mechanics but dont do much for helping once injury has occured...
now back braces and other supports can help pain a lot however the downfall is that theyh can also weaken your muscles which help suppport the back and can lead to more pain once the brace is removed due to the lack of use of thse muscles...
PT's help you strentghtn your muscles that support your back to help decrease low back pain such as the stomach, butt and back where able... leggs.... all of this helps you distrubute weight differently and can help decrease pain better than a brace support does.
I really suggest you talk to a PT or specialist baout the brace use because yes, theyc an help but they can also harm....
The people at the medical supply stores are ussualy very informed about back supports too.... sometimes a minor one is helpful to prevent further back injury and maybe while you are doing things like exercise but not to keep on most of the time..
I have worn a back support before and it did help decrease the pain in my spine because it was supported.... it just helped to ease the pressure and forced me to sit straight which also helps too... but the relief is never or was never complete nor permanent and was more of a pain to deal with the brace and found that the weakness isnt worth it if you have a choice to not wear it and work on muscle strength...
good fortune
2. NO! I was given a back support brace by the PT and instruction ONLY to wear it while lifting, driving, but NOT all day, because all that happens is you allow the muscles to waste away. Best of Luck
