Need advice on strengthening my "core" to alleviate lower back pain. What are best exercises for this.

1. I would highly recommend attending a Pilates class in your neighbourhood. It's best to get some guidance when trying to start these types of exercises, especially if you're experiencing pain or recovering from an injury.
Pilates are amazing. This workout was designing to assist dancers during "off seasons" to keep in shape and stay strong from the inside out. They are life-changing exercises.
If you haven't seen a physiotherapist, this might also be a good idea, as they could assist with the medical point of view of getting you strong and healthy again.
