Can Diet Coke cause fibromyalgia-caused backaches to get worse? My Mother has fibromyalgia very severely and she has lots of backaches caused by it. She drinks way too many diet cokes, and the more she drinks the more backaches she gets. Could diet cokes be causing her fibromyalgia-caused backaches to flare up? I need to know because her aches keep getting worse. Can you all help me?
I want to know where to find the list of high protein diet on the internet for fibromyalgia? I saw a posting from jmiller96003, telling about her success with protein diet for fibromyalgia. Is there a site that I can go to that has a list of all that I can eat and cannot? I am also wondering how many have had success with this diet. I saw this on Montel from Sylvia Browne and want to try. jmiller96003 will u contact me. I am new here and did not know how to contact u. I will try e-mailing u. Thanks Amy

Have you changed your life and diet because of Fibromyalgia and did that help? I have a friend that has been diagnosed with this disease and I'm doing some research for her. I've found many things on the internet, but will they really make a difference? This girl (38) has been health conscious(she is thin and keeps very active) all her life and she is having a difficult time now trying to keep up with 4 children and dealing with this disease at the same time.
Fibromyalgia Patients: natural healing with diet and exercise? I realize its a controversial medical problem, as it is looked at as syndrome or even a catch all disease. But I have many of the symptoms and other conditions that go hand in hand with most fibro. patients. I even have three relatives with fibro... I'm just waiting on a confirmed diagnosis. In the meantime I'm looking for ways to relieve the pain and sleeping thru the night. Since I don't have the proper diagnosis my doctor has prescribed me anti-inflmatories which don't seem to be helping at all. What are exercises and dieting tips could you give me to help relieve pain and assist with sleeping? Thanks!
Please Help with Fibromyalgia, my hair is falling out, what medication should I take? Im scared.? This weekend I have been to the ER two times, in 24hrs. I had 18 tubes of blood taken out, with neck xrays. All were negative. The last doctor who saw me mentioned Fibromyalgia. I had and still have tons of stess in my life, which may cause this. I had to quit my job, due to fatigue, tremors, and pain in my joints and muscles. What is the best thing to do for Fibromyalgia, diet, medications? What should I take for my hair loss? I just turned 31 the day he mentioned this to me. Im scared, please help Thank you Amy
Fibromyalgia and high protein diet? Does anyone know of medical studies or credible web sites that show evidence that a high protein diet is beneficial for fibro sufferers? My friend has been on disability for fibro for several years and has recently had his high protien diet allowance revoked. He has an appeal coming up and any info in support of the benefits would be helpful. Without the allowance he is basically going to have to live off mac and cheese and hot dogs which I am sure is going to undo all the improvement made in the last few years. (Basically from weeks of bed ridden periods to almost to the point now that he could start seeking the right job!...of course the high protien diet is combined with plenty of stretching and weight training.)
Website for fibromyalgia friendly diets? My partner has terrible fibro. I have always been a (relatively) good eater (ie, lots of veggies and protein) and he has improved considerably since we have been together. The other day he suffered a set back which I suspect had to do with disgusing canned meatballs he ate, against my advice. I highly suspect that his condition could be improved on a diet that eliminated preservatives. Anyone know of websites that could possibly affirm this and provide help and/or recepies? He's not so sure it would help and cannot work right now so is worried about the increased cost so it would help if I could sway him.
Is there a corelation between fibromyalgia and the consuming of carbonated soft drinks? If I've got fibromyalgia (I think I do) I suspect my diet has something to do with it (prehaps other things too). If I do have fibromyalgia, carbonated soft drinks heads my list as a possible contributor to it and/or with cafeine as a runner up and/or equal to it? Is there a corelation with either or both if they are taken together in a can or bottle of soda pop? Thank you for any helpful input because it is getting painful. Ed
How can one with fibromyalgia build muscle strenghth? What is the best way to build muscle (core and upper body, especially) when one has fibromyalgia and suffers from 24 to 48 hours of severe spams and pain in the shoulders and neck whenever any lifting (with arms or of the upper torso against gravity) is done? I have a limited diet due to food allergies, and primarily rely heavily on fruits and veggies, and use chicken or eggs as animal protein. I need to build strenghth and endurance, but the effects of trying are severe.
I would like to lose weight but I have fibromyalgia? Are there certain exercises that people with fibromyalgia and back problems can do?? I have something in my back where it pinches when I move a certain way so it's hard for me to do exercises without hurting myself. Any suggestions?? Also, can I do a 2,000 calorie diet and lose weight? or will that just maintain my weight?
Help me lose weight I have fibromyalgia? Hi all, My issue is fibromyalgia I was a landscaper and very very active. Now am very unactive results of fibromyalgia.Constant muscle pain PLUS extreem pain after excersize. Does ANYONE have a clue about a good diet that will work with low activity?
"do you drink diet soda? & have lymphoma, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, fibromyalgia pt. 1 http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=... pt. 2 http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=... pt. 3 http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=... http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7615467325328244516&q=sweet+misery http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5584716892811654367&q=sweet+misery http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4016226959742673342&q=sweet+misery A new documentary, Sweet Misery: A Poisoned World, chronicles the dangers of aspartame, found in more than 5000 food products. But never mind, us conspiracy nuts are prone to ruminate, much to the irritation of the more sane around us, for instance those who believe smoldering kerosene fires melt steel and Arabs wielding box cutters were able to make NORAD stand down.
Has any one found any other treatments for fibromyalgia? I know that a huge one is to stay away from Monosodium glutamate (MSG) also allowed to be called Natural Flavoring, guaifenesin, having low stress, and avoiding caffeine and alcohol. I also know how important a good diet it and getting enough good rest is. But sometimes all H*** breaks loose and despite all your hard work you just can't maintain the house of cards you have built to deal with this DD. So what I am looking for is any other treatments, supplements, techniques or something to fix the damage that the last couple of days of chaos have caused. As for the chaos, we are having two rooms in our house redone and stuff ended up blocking up my kitchen so that I ended up not cooking at all -- so where do you suppose my food came from! And all the stress of people being in my home and on and on... Now when it is done it will be so very nice but in the meantime... And I am really hurting even after two doses of guaifenesin. Any idea would be appreciate!
Can You treat fibromyalgia naturally? Does anyone know of any herbs, vitamins , minerals that help with Fibromyalgia? I already know about standard meds. Massage and hot baths but I am searching for a dietary cause. Something I need in my diet or need to get rid of. I have had this for a long time but I am having a rather sudden very painful flair up and can't figure out why.
Making a living when you have fibromyalgia? ...........except minimizing stressful work hours. I don't feel able to take care of my health if I work more than 40 hours a week. I do all my own cooking, cleaning, laundry and house projects, so those count as "work" during my weeks. If I work in a job that pays more than $35,000/year, it is always too high of stress for too many hours a week, and my diet, exercise, self-care slides. Any thoughts?
Best diet pill/stimulant available cheaply online in UK? Hi-looking for an inexpensive diet pill also with stimulant effects - cannot lose weight and have no energy due to having fibromyalgia. Fully aware of risks etc. but I think being overweight is more of a risk and issue to me than possible side effects. Thanks in advance!
My mother has fibromyalgia. How can I help her? Also, when should I know when to get her medical attention? What are the symptoms of the illness, and what can I do t o help her in everyday life? She is in pain constantly. Is there a certain diet she should be on? She has cut back on sweets due to her diabetes, but what else? Thanks in advance.
Mixing aerobic with anaerobic exercise because of fibromyalgia? I have fibromyalgia (FMS) or something like it. The main restriction I have is intolerance of aerobic activity. I can do strength training for 25 minutes with little risk, but taking a brisk walk for more than 15 minutes is extremely risky. I recently eliminated all unnecessary sugar from my diet and am generally eating much better, and it's had great effects. I just purchased an aerobics video, and did aerobics for 15 minutes today. I feel so great that I want to be able to maintain the ability to do this at least twice a week. My real question is: If I do the aerobics for 3 minutes, then stop and do strength training for a minute (for a "break" from the more risky aerobics), and then hop up & start the aerobics again for another 3 minutes and so on, will I really be helping to maintain my elevated heart rate by doing the strength training?
Is sugar a big factor in fibromyalgia? I had a "healer" tell me to try to eliminate sugar and highly processed foods from my diet, and increase my intake of magnesium. I feel somewhat better, but I'd like your thoughts.
i have been on the low-glycemic diet for a while but no weight loss!!!? I have been following this diet for about 2 months. I have lost a few inches in my upper stomach area, but nothing else. Matter of fact, my weight is going up!!! I am getting so discouraged!!! I am 38, and I have fibromyalgia which makes exercise sometimes EXTREMELY difficult. Would joining curves or a similar 30 min workout place help me? I am also 5' 2". Hope someone can help. I am also very involved with my kids' activitites, which keeps me running, and have a husband that complains that I don't spend enough time with him. (selfish?) Any good feedback? let me also add that i follow a healthy diet because of my blood sugar, not JUST to lose the weight, and it has helped tremendously with glucose levels. The other problem I forgot to mention is that I feel like I am freaking STARVING!!!! I can't seem to feel full unless I overeat! As far as the walking with husband after kids in bed, that would be like 11 at night and I get up for work at 4:45 am. Also I won't leave my children in the house alone. The other MAJOR problem is the fibromyalgia. If none of you understand what that is, it's a very painful condition that results in the fibrous tissues in your body to hurt badly, frequently to the point of needing pain management medications and can leave you very debilitated much like MS. I do work full time and my job is a physical one, so I am not sedentary at all. Oh and I have recently quit smoking, 19 days to be exact.....on Chantix but weight gain is not one of the side effects.
How do you get a reluctant Doctor to prescribe weight loss medications? I am 5ft2 and almost 200 pounds. I have a hard time losing weight through excersise because I have severe Fibromyalgia. I eat a very good diet of 1,000 calories a day but although I am not gaining I am not losing either. My doctor says he doesnt like to prescribe any weight loss meds to anyone. I do not want to go see another doc because this current one is so good with my other illnesses and it is in my contract that if i see anyone else, he will not see me anymore. What do I do?? Help! Ive decided to add some more on this post to thank you all so far for your input and helpful advice. I have a Response for "M's" question. Most doctors who deal exclusively with pain management will have their patients sign this sort of contract. It pretty much just means that since they are handaling all of the intricate specifics of your unique case that it would not be benificial and would cause much confusion to bring in other doctors without his permission first. If you, the patient wish to see a different doctor than your pain management doctor , you are more than welcome to a second opinion or whatever you are seeking but it is in your primary pain management care providers discretion to see you or to (more than likely ) not to see you as a patient again. Thanx for listening and responding.
Fibromyalgia and sweetners? Anybody subscribe to the idea that fibromyalgia is worsened by artificial sweetners? I thought it was a bunch or bologna. I ran out of diet drinks for a week and I was bouncing back there for awhile. What do you think? Anybody out there with FM that has any tips on coping with the pain?
Starting A Vegan Diet...Any Advice? I'm going vegan. It's something I've been thinking about for some time now, but I can first remember considering it when I learned of Daniel's challenge to the king to eat a vegan diet. I recently thought of it again because of my renewed vigor for the spiritual, enlightenment, and harmony...how could I live in harmony with the world when I ate the life in it, especially such tortured life that goes on in our slaughterhouses? Certainly, I would be much more comfortable hunting my own meat, because I could at least ensure that the animal doesn't live a life of suffering, and that honor and thanks would be given for the life instead of just an electrical zap to the brain and into a vat of boiling water. What really pushed me over the edge is a book I bought dealing with the diet of people who have fibromyalgia (FM), a syndrome I developed in the Marine Corps. It doesn't advocate vegetarianism specifically (it mentions fish and also has recipes with meat), but does speak of vegetarian, vegan, and raw diets tested on FM patients, with the greatest results coming from the vegan and raw diets. So that's the back story. I have a few questions for you experienced vegans out there...keep in mind that I will not only be on a vegan diet, but a natural diet, so pre-packaged, over-processed, additive-filled animal-free products are off-limits to me. 1. What are any tricks, tips, etc. that you've learned/discovered? 2. Do you grow your own food? Where do you live that you do this, and how hard is it? I usually end up killing plants...I don't have a green thumb. I have heard of little communes where people come together and have a patch of garden, would this be advocated? 3. I come from a bodybuilding background. It died with my diagnosis, but I like to maintain as much muscle as possible. I have already made the switch to soy protein from whey for my post-workout protein shakes. Are there any other ways to ensure that I am getting complete protein? I do know that grain + legume = complete protein. 4. Do you take any supplements? I hear that vitamin B12 is an animal-only supplement. How do you ensure that your supplements are vegan? 5. What does your daily diet look like? 6. I am not specifically looking to lose weight, but especially considering my concern with muscle mass, how much weight am I anticipating to lose? I exercise several times a week (cardio, weights, yoga). Thank you in advance. Namaste. cin2win: I should probably have also stated that I will be eating an extremely varied diet that will be rice in various enzymes, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Do I still need to worry about hair loss and whatnot? Thanks, tmkt, for reminding me of my delicious sushi. :( However, I would prefer specific answers to the questions from everyone who answers. Thanks. Hypertrophy: It's funny you mentioned that. I am a huge fan of Indian food, especially admiring how tasty it is without adding a bunch of junk. I have some pre-packaged Indian cuisine for convenience...it's kosher, vegan, and more, while also providing whole food with no added crap.
How do I become healthier and gain 25 pounds? I suffer from Fibromyalgia. I read a book called "The Candida Control Diet". I want additional tips on how to gain weight because eating healthy sometimes makes me too skinny. I only weigh 100Ibs and I'm 5'6". I don't believe in using medication but I can't afford to buy homeopathic remedies. I want to gain weight WHILE EATING HEALTHY.
Can Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome cause fibromyalgia? ? Okay first some background. I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome when I was 13 yrs. old. Treatment was birth control. When I was 21 I stated getting blood clots. Dr. did not know why but I had to stop taking birth control. Now I take warfarin because stopping birth control did not stop the clots. At 23 I had partial hysterectomy. Uterus and right ovary was removed to alleviate some of my symptoms, the right ovary kept forming cysts that had to be removed surgically because they would get to be the size of a man's fist. Have had very few problems with PCOS since hysterectomy. However, I hurt everywhere, I visibly swell up and I have to take a prescription diuretic (think it is spelled lasics), and severe fatigue. I also have IBS and Interstitial cystitis (control both with diet). The Dr. says I have fibromyalgia. I do not want to take the steroids and pain medicine that the Dr. is prescribing. Does anyone have any idea about what could cause the bloodclotss and other symptoms. I feel like my Dr. is not investigating whether there is a common cause between all of these different problems. I have been hospitalized many times due to swelling and blood clots, but the fatigue is my biggest complaint. Can the polycystic ovarian syndrome which is the only health problem I had until I was 20 cause these others symptoms. I still have one ovary which still gets cysts occasionally.
Trouble sticking to your diet? Thought control. Many folks here are trying to lose weight effectively. Most are having trouble sticking with their diet and exercise routine. I’ve done a lot of thinking on this and have been wondering why I’m one of the few who has had success with losing weight. I know it’s because I’ve been adhering to my diet and exercise routine, but why have I been adhering to it? The answer lies in the fact that I have employed a technique I learned in overcoming suicidal depression and alcoholism. It’s called cognitive behavior therapy… or thought control. I learned this from a book called: “The Feeling Good Handbook”, by Dr. David Burns. The book is designed to deal with anxiety, depression and other mental disorders. While it isn’t specifically aimed at losing weight, the concept can certainly be used for any mental disorder including eating disorders. I’ve been able to overcome many adversities including diabetes and fibromyalgia by employing CBT. 'nuff said?
Teens with fibromyalgia? I'm 18, and I've been diagnosed with fibromyalgia since I was 16. I'm working on a few non-medical ways of managing it, and I thought I would ask for second opinions of what works best. Yoga, pilates, swimming, walking? Massage therapy or acupuncture? Clinical psychology? Magnesium supplemants? Diet? And is there anyone else out there who is under 25, and suffering with fibromyalgia? Most people seem to be in the 30s and above age range. Are there any online support groups for under 25s? Ways I treat myself: Medical: I see a sports specialist, who deals with a lot of people who have fibromyalgia. I'm on a type of antidepressant, mirtazapine, which also serves as a muscle relaxant. Physical: My doctor suggested I try either massage therapy or acupuncture, to help with the muscle pain. I went for massage therapy, but I've since switched to acupuncture. I still see a massage therapist for relaxation, but I find that acupunture is really effective. I also try to do swimming and short walks regularly, and am just starting to learn yoga. I will also be starting pain management classes soon. Mental: I was diagnosed with anxiety and depreesion (mostly circumstantial) earlier this year, and have been getting counseling and clinical psychology to help deal with the pain and feelings that come with it. I'm thinking of starting up a forum for people with fibromyalgia, all ages. Please email me if you're interested!
Is anyone using the Fentynal Patch for Fibromyalgia? My doctor started me on it then took me off saying that the natural way of a proper diet and Vicoprofen were all that was needed. I take provigil to stay awake during the day and they want me to take Amitriptilene to go to sleep. I don't like taking alot of different meds. What meds work and what doesn't. HELP!!!!!
Fibromyalgia sufferers.. ok are you on any special diets to control the symptoms of your Fibromyalgia? below..? Like recipes, foods to eat, foods to eliminate, everything I need to know cause all I do is sleep, sleep, and sleep. Also of course I get headaches and pain al the time. But I found out that certain foods can trigger your fibromyalgia symptoms like sugar, gluten, fatty foods, butter, ect. I am having such a hard time eating the right foods and staying on track it is so hard to stick with it and eat better for myself so I don't have to feel like a slug all the time. I hate it so much. So any good advice would be helpful thanks.
Fibromyalgia & acupuncture? I have fibromyalgia, am female, 58 and a teacher. I take Cymbalta & Celebrex plus Tylenol and I can function enough to work full time. I normally eat a varied and healthy diet (I almost never eat processed foods - I cook with organic chicken and vegetables - things like that. I would very much like to feel better than just functional. Does anyone know if acupuncture would help?
Are there some people who need exercise to be happy? It seems that certain breeds of dogs are totally happy to be inactive, and some that go at least a little crazy if they don't live on a farm where they can run. I have fibromyalgia, and it manifests itself largely with an intolerance of more than 15-20 minutes of aerobic activity, depending on the day. I used to be an athlete, so it is particularly painful to not be able to exercise. I know people who choose not to exercise, I also know others that I think would go crazy if they couldn't exercise. I'm the only person I know that's is unhappy because I CAN'T exercise more (without expensive treatments and discipline). It will probably take thousands of dollars of massage treatments & rigorous discipline with regards to diet and tracking activity to get me to the point where I can exercise at least 20 minutes, 5 times a week. I'm looking for some insight as to whether exercise could be that important for happiness for some.
Does the "Makers Diet" really help??? Okay....my aunt has a LOT of medical problems...she has: High Blood Pressure, SleepApnea,GERDS, Fibromyalgia,Major Depression, Arthiritis, Anxiety Disorders, PCOD, PTSD, Endometriosis, Allergies, Interstitial Cystitiis, Asthma,Restrictive Lung, And about 10 other things wrong with her...she is VERY sick, has seen more doctors that ANYONE should ever have to, and is MISERABLE!!!! I have heard about the "Maker's Diet". Would this diet help cure her? Or if not "cure" her...would it help her ANY? Please help!!!
fibromyalgia? well i have fibromyalgia and im trying to retain my muscle bulk back and i heard 80% of your muscles is water.. but for some reason when i started adding lots of water into my diet.. i drank ice cold water and id feel so much pain..why is this after i drink water? anything connected to fibromyalgia?
Fibromyalgia. Were you sick before the onset?Does anyone think its hormonal? I have had this trouble for 4years now with all symptoms. I look normal so I have no sympathy and my work load is ever increasing. My arm aches if I talk on the phone too long. My leg aches if I get caught in traffic. I have recently purchased a magnet underblanket with 'infrared crystal' - it has been great. It doesn't cure it but it does sooth the pain overnight so I don't wimper in pain as I roll over in bed anymore. I have managed the stomache cramps by altering my diet to a very bland - no coffee, no garlic, no onion diet etc. Do any of you out there have any tips!! - Fibromyalgia does make life miserable.
Do I have fibromyalgia? I have been fatigue, depression, anxiety, irritability, stress, etc. for years. Just in the past 4 or 5 years, I have been having trouble with leg cramps, especially at night. I noticed it more when I would drink caffeine. I used to have IBS really bad, about 6-7 or more years ago, but I believe that has been under control due to all of the depression medication that I have been on over the years. (Which is just about ALL of them). I had REALLY bad cramps after having my tubes tied in 1997. They were so bad, all the way into my legs and ankles. I had a tremendous amount of blood loss too. I had a hysterectomy in 2005, but the leg pains are still there. Anyways my pain has become so severe that I can barely handle it. I started nursing school in September and didn't make it through the first quarter. I had to withdraw because my grades were so low. I couldn't concentrate, couldn't remember what I studied and I couldn't concentrate during lecture. I am 32 years old and had to convince a doctor to put me on medication to help me concentrate. I had never taken medication for ADD/ADHD before, but I had all of the symptoms. I told the doctor I was failing and needed to act fast. He put me on a combination of 80mg of Straterra and 20 mg of Wellbutrin, The next 3 weeks were HELL!! I did just a little bit better in school, but I was a monster to be around and was wanting to kill myself. He lowered the straterra to 40mg and I stopped the Wellbutrin on my own. The symptoms were still there. He took me off of Straterra and put me on 10mg of Adderall. I had already flunked out of school, or was too far gone, so I just withdrew. I have continued the Adderall because I want to see if it helps my concentration. I want to return to school next year and I want to get this under control. I don't mind the Adderall, but I think I need a different dose. I don't know if it is too high or too low of a dose, but it gives me energy, but that's it. I find myself sitting for 8 hours at a time surfing the net. (Like I am now). Sometimes if I can get sidetracked into cleaning, I will clean the house from top to bottom. But it has made the procrasination side of me become much much worse!! I don't want to get anything done. So about my pain...it is horrid!!! From my lower back down, hurts. All the way into my toes. I can tolerate it through the day, barely, but at night it is extremely aggravating. I never sleep through the night and I have continuous muscle spasms. Actually a lot worse than a muscle spasm, but that is the only way I can describe it. Day and night my joints and muscles are stiff. I have these spasms that travel up and down my legs. I can even sit here wait, I know when it is going to happen. It will start in my knee, travel down my calve and go into my foot and out my toe. It even moves my toes. And when it is doing this, it is like I have dry heaves or something, the pain is so bad, I almost gag until it stops. It is the most uncomfortable thing I have ever experienced. I have these painful twitches all over my body. Sometimes, they travel, sometimes it is in one place like needles going into my skin. And, my feet are always cold. I also have really bad dry skin on my ears and scalp. It is quite embarassing. I believe the Adderall makes the axiety worse and I scratch my scalp and ears a lot. I noticed I was having a lot of diarrea before I started the Adderall, but I think that is controlled by the Adderall now. It is so frustrating not being able to sleep. Caffeine intensifies the pain so much more. I have almost completely cut it out of my diet. I have always avoided pop since I had kidney stones in 1996, maybe one pop (diet or regular) per week, maybe not even that much. If I do have Fibromyalgia, ATLEAST I still have the energy to do things. I am still able to excersize right now. But until the Adderall, I was having to take a 2-3 hour nap every day. I read online where this is stress related. I notice that it is worse when I am stressed. Especially the dry skin. I don't know if I have it or not, but I would just love to find out and get some relief!! *BTW, I know this seems like a lot. I feel like a hypercondriac just typing it all, but it is the truth and I am just searching for answers!!! ~Thank you in advance for any help! =) LOL At the person who said "Get off all of that medication and see a psychiatrist". Maybe you should learn how to read. Adderall is the only medication I am taking. If I was NUTZ, I would be taking all of the meds that they have tried putting me on.
What is a good diet and exercise to do with fibromyalgia? I have gained weight with fibromyalgia. It hurts to do anything... even walk for long periods. But I am sick of being fat. And no matter how healthy and little I eat, I cannot lose weight and just keep gaining. Any ideas on what I can do?

Does anyone know any good exercises to lose weight with fibromyalgia? I have had fibromyalgia my whole life, which has gotten worse since the birth of my son almost 3 years ago. I have tried exercising, but if I do too much, I get really sick. I was wondering if there are any other fibromyalgia sufferers out there that have had success with particular exercises and diets. Thank you very much!
Does anyone know of any treatment for Fibromyalgia? My wife is really suffering from this condition. We were sent to a orthopedist who recommended a balanced diet and blamed the condition on cigarette smoking. We've tried Over The Counter Pain medicine but they didn't help.
Is it true that 'diet pill' Phentermine is no risk to people of normal weight? Good for Fibromyalgia? Is it true that 'diet pill' Phentermine is no risk to people of normal weight, i know many women and celebs take it with no risk ( as long as it's taken for under 3 months only)? I have a stone I need to shift (it will make thing easier on my joints the doctor said) and I can't get rid of it because of my fybromyalgia and problems doing heavy cardio- my heart checked and is fine, am healthy and walk and swim. Was reading this http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/710340.stm It says it was banned in europe because of fears it could cause heart disease in people - with bad hearts/ obese people? I think banning Phentermine is a bit lazy of the NHS and Europe as it means doctors don't have to be supervised so much to who they give it to, any one with heart issues shouldn't be given it, that was the problem- controlling it, so easier to ban it. That's my opinion. Is it pretty safe for sensible, healthy, mentally stable people though? I can't find much online so point to links if can? I heard Phentermine also helps Fibromyalgia (helps serotonin levels) as a bonus, doctors used to prescribe it for this- anyone any experience of this?
For people that know about the raw food diet only!? My mom has been sick for awhile, fibromyalgia, back pain, lots of pills & more but I was wonder if this will help her because all these doctors do is one pill after another, also shes been eating junk food for her entire life & shes over weight, will eating a raw food diet help her or is this just another lost cause?
Where can I find a free website that helps plan a diet for someone with more than one medical condition? I have, polycystic ovarian disease, insulin resistance, interstitial cystitis, depression, fibromyalgia, asthma, and possibly chronic fatigue syndrome and complex migraines. Any help with the interstitial cystitis is the main thing. Is there a place I could find recipes to help with these? Or better a free site where I could put in my diseases and get back a diet plan or recipes that would help them? Any help would be most appreciated.

Any help with the interstitial cystitis is the main thing. Is there a place I could find recipes to help with these? Or better a free site where I could put in my diseases and get back a diet plan or recipes that would help them? Any help would be most appreciated.
Is there any connection between fibromyalgia and diet? I only ask because I am hurting and miserable and desperate. I don't eat badly, but out of curiosity, I investigated this on the internet yesterday and I ended up at something called the 'Living Diet'. That is a raw, vegan diet. I don't think that sounds healthy. Maybe for a cow. Has anyone had any success with avoiding a food, or adding a supplement? Or anything else, for that matter? I have epilepsy that isn't well controlled with meds and fibromyalgia. It's a little much. I would love to know how to control the pain. Cymbalta isn't working and, at least here in Oregon, every doctor is afraid that if they give a suffering person pain reliever, they'll become a drug addict. Thanks for any help.
I am starting a gluten free diet to help my fibromyalgia...? I can't stand the taste of rice pasta. Does anyone have recommendations for a good pasta and white sandwich bread that taste like the real thing? Otherwise I may not last on this diet... Thank you to anyone who helps :) I don't need home remedies. I just need to know some brands I can find at Meijer or Kroger that'll have good food. I'm a pasta/ bread fiend. I'm hoping I can find something that will help that isn't medication.
Endometriosis and Fibromyalgia recipes!? I'm currently 16 years old and have just been diagnosed with chronic endometriosis (proven through a laperscopy) aswell as fibromyalgia. That pain has been so bad that I have had to stop going to school ( now home schooled) and spend most of my days at home. For a social/active 16 year old this is incredibly hard to do. I have been very good with my diet, but i'm running out of ideas! I have searched the internet high and low, and only came up with 2 recipes that fit both the endometriosis diet, as well as the fibromyalgia diet. I would really appreciate it if anybody had some recipes for me! (please note that I can't have peppers or tomatoes either, as I have acid-reflux) Thank you so much!
