Fibromyalgia treatment? If you have fibro what treatment has worked best for you? I really appreciate your answers. RX for nutritional healing is one of my favorite books and I do some of the things you all have mentioned. I do a lot of alternative treatments/remedies already and have found essential oil mixtures/bath soaks I make to be very helpful. I haven't had conventional treatment in over 7 years, relying on natural and am out of the loop on what is now prescribed and am interested in RX treatments, too, for a major flair I've been experiencing.
What is your treatment for fibromyalgia? My doctor says he beleives that I have fibromyalgia. My mom has suffered from this for 20 years also so I guess it is hereditary. I am wondering what other people do for the pain and what they have tried out and what works best to help.

I am looking for options, suggestions for fibromyalgia treatment.? I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia as a result of an allergic reaction. I have significant swelling in my joints, which seem to be closely associated with changes in weather or severe weather. Most everything I read about fibromyalgia talks about muscle issues, but mine is purely in the joints, though I did react pretty strongly to the 'pressure points' indicative of this disease. I cannot live forever on pain killers and anti-inflammatories.

Someone I know takes hydrochodone and I would like to know if the benefits outweight the almost certain dependency. For clarification purposes, I am not speaking ill of those who use narcotics for pain management and not trying to tell someone how they should be treated. I am just asking a question. I have been diagnose with fibromyalgia and Osteoarthritis. Does anyone use a natural treatment that helps? I wake up many times during the night in pain. My joints and muscles hurt from head to toe most of the time. I stay tired all the time. My iron level stays low. I am currently on prescribe medication which only helps a little. I really do not like to take medicine and especially when the doctors tells me I have to be on it for the rest of my life. I have tried several different natural remedies but nothing seems to work. New Treatment for Fibromyalgia? I suffer from Fibromyalgia, and have been for many years. But now I am noticing that each year I am worse then the year before. It's affecting my whole life. Has anybody had any luck with fibromyalgia treatments without going broke in the process? I've had fibromyalgia since 1991 and have been treated with P.T., medications (tramadol, elavil,clonopin, & lorab), stretching, massage therapy (when I can afford it), and some biofeedback. My neck and back are so tied in knots it feels like concrete. My current regiman barely gets me by. I have worked steadily since diagnosed, and done some pretty physical type jobs. I do believe staying active is much better than laying around feeling sorry for myself. It helps me take my mind off of the pain if I keep busy. I couldn't afford to live on disability even if I wanted to, lol. I have tried tens units, and water aerobics/therepy without any relief. I am curious about yoga being a possible help to me.

What is the best pain treatment for fibromyalgia? Currently I am taking Savella as well as 5 mg Lortabs for pain. The Lortab is having little to no effect lately.
