Migraine symptoms? Sometimes I get a bad headache when there's really bright light or loud noises. My eyes ache as well but I don't get any sickness, could this be a migraine? And if it is what can I do about it?
Anorexia Or Migraine Symptoms? One of my friends has been worrying me lately. She never ate much before but lately it seems to me that she is not eating much at all. And she is drinking a lot of coffee. I mention this to her telling her I am worried that she is drinking too much coffee and not eating enough and she says she needs the coffee because she does not sleep at night. She also gets migraines which I guess I dont understand how serious they are but it seems like every week she has a migraine and when she does she will not eat at all. Does having a migraine cause one to not want to eat? Other symptoms I have noticed is that she has been losing weight. I also asked her about this and she denys she has lost weight. I know she has because all of her clothes just hang off her now. Someone please help. I dont know what to do. I am very worried about her and want to help but I dont know what to do, or even if I have something to worry about. COuld it just be her migraine and insomnia or could it be something more serious?
Are these Migraine symptoms? are these common migraine symptoms burning eyes upset stomach sensitive to light and sounds massive headache i have been having these for the last couple of weeks what over the counter medicine would you suggest

tell me all about your migraine symptoms? ok so ive had migraines since i was 4. and seem to be growing out of them as they have cut down to only a few a year. i just wanted to know if anyone gets all the same symptoms. my symptoms are the exact same every time and i can often wake up knowing it feels like im gonna get a migraine that day. First my head goes little fuzzy and my eyes feel strained, i then get a little black dot which gets bigger and bigger. while this is happenin i start to feel a little sick, my right arm always feels disattached almost like its not my arm, i get pins and needles in my tongue and then my fingers and arm. my vision gets so bad i can only see half of peoples face for example, i then lose basically all ability to think and talk, i turn into like a 4 year old learning things for the first time, i get a stammer, forget everything im saying, i forget names of things, and how to tell the time. a few hours of lying down in the dark with my migraine tablets and lose most of the symptoms and just left with REALLY sore head. ive never known anyone with exact same symptoms yet so please tell me all yours. i have never figured out what causes mine, oh and i get a weird taste in mouth and things smell funny
Migraine-like symptoms without the intensity of a migraine...? I used to have migraines frequently as a teen, but thought I "grew out" of them (I'm 21) as they became few and far between. During the past few months I've had headaches with migraine-like symptoms (one-sided, nausea, visual stuff, serious fatigue) during PMS. The headache itself is pretty uncomfortable, but not nearly as bad as some of the migraines I've had in the past. Anyone else experience headaches like this? Is it possible to have migraine-like headaches with less pain?
Eating Disorder Or Migraine Symptoms? One of my friends has been worrying me lately. She never ate much before but lately it seems to me that she is not eating much at all. Does having a migraine cause one to not want to eat? Other symptoms I have noticed is that she has been losing weight. I also asked her about this and she denies she has lost weight. I know she has because all of her clothes just hang off her now. Someone please help. I dont know what to do. headache and migraine symptoms help? I had a huge headache/migraine(dunno which) and I felt very nauseated towards the end of the day. After waking up I don't have a headache, but I still kinda feel a little nauseated(not as much). Is this normal?
I used to get migraines ALOT and of course I would have the symptoms that would come before the migraine...? but now I am just having the symptoms without migraines following is it possible they are due to something else? Like is it possible they might be telling me something else is wrong? I am experiencing a blinding sensation in one or both eyes, but I can still see...it's almost like my eyes are wrapped in alumnium foil. It's kind of strange so I don't know how to explain it. I've also experienced some some pain in my eyes and slight pain in my head but right along with the symptoms not after them as what used to happen and it's not anything close to a migraine feeling. Can anyone help me out with this I don't want my doc to think I'm crazy when I try to explain this to him.

Will a uk General practitioner prescribe co-codamol or similar formulations for intensifying migraine? I have been asking this question for such a long time now and as yet I have received no accurate response. I have been using co-codamol for several months now, and I find that it is a perfect tonic for my migraine symptoms, however of course tolerance ensues, so i will need to have it prescribed to manage the rocketing costs. Will a gp consent to this? Please respond with as much detail as you can : ) Thankyou in advance!
Who can I contact regarding migraine research? I am a migraine sufferer, and to date I have not been able to find resources that address the more peculiar of my migraine symptoms. As such, I would be interested in contacting medical professionals or organizations conducting research and perhaps participating in a clinical study. I've done some web searches and made a few phone calls, but it seems that points of contact for this sort of thing are hard to find. Anyone know where to start?

Could foods with horseradish be a migraine trigger? I have been eating horseradish mustard and almost every time I notice migraine symptoms... numb neck, light headed (just a little) weak arms... not necessarily the migraine itself but the other symptoms. What are symptoms of a migraine?? I've never had a migraine (that I know of) but I've never had a headache as bad as I do today. Does anyone know the symtoms of a migraine?? I have a sharp, throbbing pain, going from the base of my neck on the left side through the whole left side of my head, all the way to the middle of my forehead. Lights and sounds are killing me, and I've been sick to my stomache since before it started. Any help appriciated!!
Post migraine symptoms? At about 12:20 I got an aura. Then that subsided at around 12:40 and then of course came the migraine, which the pain subsided about 4 hours ago. It wasnt until 3 hours ago that I could eat anything. Even though the migraine is gone I am still cold, fatigued, and I ate but not with normal appetite and feel slightly nauseus. Is that normal after a migraine attack? oh and just out of curiosity, how do you pronounce aura?
Migraine Headache symptoms? i have migraines, but last night i had symptoms i don't usually have. can anyone tell me if this is normal? after first becoming nauseated i got a dull headache on the right side of my head, then part of my face on the right went tingly/numb for a couple of minutes and throuhgout the night i felt really cold on the right side of my body. i still have a dull headache and chills on my right side.
symptoms of migraine attacks? Almost everyday i get a migraine, im not sure if im just prone to migraine attacks or what is causing? please help me.
Strange migraine symptoms? For me, the first sign that I am getting a migraine is one of my hands and my lips going numb, my vision goes really blurry, and the worst and strangest thing...I can't talk! It is really scary and frustrating, I know what I want to say, but I can't make it come out right. I feel very confused...It's exactly like a stroke, but I am only 24 so I don't think that could be it. Also, when people try to talk to me, I have a very hard time making sense of what they are saying, I can't dial numbers on a phone or type, really freaks me out and I start to panic. Has anyone else ever heard of or experienced this? I was 12 years old the first time I had one of these...My mom took me to the ER and the doctor called it a "classic migraine"
Should I be concerned about sudden changes in my migraine symptoms? I get migraines from time to time. They are normally not too severe, but they are bad enough. (Normally I am able to figure out what caused it -- eating overly processed foods, not enough water, too much noise/ stress, chemical scents, food colouring). For every single migraine I ALWAYS have the dull throbbing pain at the base of my skull on the right hand side. I normally just take a couple Motrin or Advil to take care of it. I rarely have to take a second dose. However, yesterday I woke up with a headache (very rare for me). It was a dull headache, all over my whole head. It wasn't that bad. I wouldn't call it a migraine -- just a regular headache. So yesterday I took a couple of doses of Motrin but it didn't help. In fact, the headache is still there today, and now I am starting to get migraine pain -- throbbing and pulsing, but this time it's on the left side of my head. So strange. As I said above, I always get it on the right side. ?? Seems odd to me. For this headache, I can't pin down a specific cause. I've been eating very healthy lately, mostly fruits and veggies. No changes in my caffeine intake -- just my normal 1-2 cups of tea. No medications, etc. So I'm wondering if anyone can answer... how long is too long to have a headache? When should I get concerned?
Are my symptoms a migraine or sinus headache? My symptoms are left and right side headaches, but mostly on my left side, with pain and pressure with swelling in my frontal and cheek area. I would always go to a urgent care clinic and they would take x-ray and say I had sinus infection and gave me antibitoic and sometimes IV. I went to my medical doctor and she thought it was a sinus infection and gave me amoxicillin which helped and made the swelling go down, but comes right back after I stop taking the antibitoic. She also had me get a cat scan and to see a ENT doctor. My cat scan came back normal, but I don't know if that's because I was on the antibitoic and it cleared it up and I went ENT and he said I didn't have sinus, because the cat scan was normal. I went back to my medical doctor and she said I must have migraine then and gave me ibuprofen. So I don't know if it is just a migraine or sinus headaches or both.
What are the symptoms of migraine ? ok so i woke up today with a really bad headache and i felt really really sick as if im about to puke, i think its called nausea or something. i started puking and didnt go to school today since i was worried i might get sick in class. my mum made an appointment for the doctor and my doctor said i might have migraine. can someone tell me the symptoms of migraine. one thing i can tell you is that whenever i have a headache, i get it from the top of my head on both sides and it lasts for long periods of times. i also start feeling sick and often vomit or puke. my eyes are really sensitive aswell and i start getting blured vision sometimes and when i wake up i have sticky eyes. also if this might help im a female and im 15. if that would help in telling me. i have already visited websites so please dont send me links becuase i dont really understand the sciency language, if you could explain in simple words. thanks alot

Aura migraine.. stroke like symptoms..pregnancy? did anyone else begin to have migraines with auras... symptoms very similar to a mini stoke or TIA when they got pregnant because of the change in hormones?? if so, what did you take to relieve the pain??? very scary situation, numbness in one arm... cant talk straight... seeing lights and things move in the corner of your eye..dizziness.. thank god it's just a migraine though. but yeah back to the question, what'd you do for pain? and how often did it happen to you?
As a result of an asthma attack, can you get a migraine headache? I have asthma and get migraine headaches. I've realized that when I get a sudden asthma attack from running up the stairs or walking far without breathing deeply, I get a throbbing and pulsating migraine. Are these connected? Because I can't take in enough air during an attack, are migraines a possible symptom because I can't get enough air to my head? I may sound strange or unintelligent, but I was just wondering... Thanks!
do you think that's still MIGRAINE if you don't have ALL of the symptoms? What do you think? One sided headache with a throbbing pain that lasts about three days or more (the first being the most painful). A very localized pain that sometimes connects with the neck and eye. It gets worse with movement and efforts. No nausea, no vomiting, no photophobia, no phonophobia. I already went to the doc, an on duty doctor, he told me it's possibly a migraine. He said I should see my family doctor to keep track of it and have a more accurate diagnose. He told me that I might be asked to keep a diary about the headaches. I don't drink coffee. I have a healthy diet and I excercise 3 times a week. That means aerobic excercise and pilates.
can migraine symptoms stay 5 monthes? hello ..since 5 monthes i m feeling pressure around my eyes and my vision is disorted and tired.......i did irm but no sinus..........can migraine attack symptoms stay 5 monthes ?or maximum 72 hours?thxx
Could these be migraine symptoms? This isn't a joke question so please be kind. I've been having a lot of migraines lately. Also, my moods are swinging from fine to very angry to horribly depressed. And my thoughts are fine, then stuck on how terrible things are (when they haven't really changed) or how angry I am (about stuff that's actually old news). I'm also getting some weird feelings in my skin, like something is touching me or like cold water is running down my arms or an ice cube is touching my head. Even though I am frequently week during these spells, my blood sugar is under 100 in the morning and has been normal during one of these bad spells. I do get nasty migraines with all the warning signs, auras and slow recovery. Can migraines cause mood swings, disjointed thinking and odd skin sensations? Do you know of anything else that could cause these symptoms? PS There is an off chance my migraines are familial hemiplegic migraines--if that makes any difference. Oh, and YES, I DO have an appointment with a neurologist coming up soon. I'm just trying to understand these frightening and disturbing symptoms. Thanks.
Can you take calcium channel blockers and beta blockers at the same time for migraine prevention? I currently take Verapamil (calcium channel blocker) for migraine prevention. It has worked some, but I'm at the full dose and it isn't enough (I still get daily migraine symptoms if not full on migraines). Can I take a beta blocker at the same time? Or will I need to get off the calcium channel blocker first? Obvoiusly I'll talk to my doctor about it as well . . . just wondering what everyone else knows about it. Thanks.

migraine symptoms getting worse! need help!? hello, my name is shelby and i'm almost 16 yrs old. I am a sufferer of migraines but recently, they have been getting worse. here's the background story, back in July, i was at my church youth group and we were playing rugby. i'm a small 5'2" girl and i was playing with a bunch of guys. i got tackled pretty hard and i have severe pain in my head for the net few days without going to a hospital. well, my mom got some sense and took me to a doctor. i had tests run and there was no sign of a concussion but the doctors said that theyre might have been one but since we waited a while to see a doctor, it went away. ever since then, ive had small headaches here and there but they werent bad and went away with advil. but since about a month ago, ive developed severe migraines and almost went to the emergency room one night. they let up a little for about 2 weeks but ever since yesterday, theyve gotten worse. i've felt more nausea, ive gotten dizzy, there have been some muscle spazzems/twitches, and blood shot eyes. They have gotten to the point that whenever i looked at the smalled candle, i felt like my head was being smashed into a wall. i dont know whats happening or if i should go and see my doctor again. I went about a month ago when they started to get really bad and they tried to send me to a neurologist but, the best pediactric neurologist in Houston doesnt have an opening until JUNE. i think its pretty ridiculous but whatever. and regular neurologists won't take me cause im under 18. any suggestions on what i should do? thanks.
Post migraine vision symptoms? Help? I'm 19 yrs old. I had a migraine a couple of days ago, where I experienced a blind spot and pain which is apparently usual. However, it has been two days since the migraine and I can't help but noticing that the center of my vision, roughly where the blind spot was, is ever so slightly cloudy, as if the blind spot is still there but not as bad. It's only very slight but I'm worried as I'm not sure if these kind of symptoms ever persist beyond the migraine itself. It's mainly noticeable in the dark. Any chance anyone could give me some reassurance or advice? Thanks.

What are YOUR migraine symptoms? I have had migraines since I was 10 (I'm 22 now) and for the last week I have been experiencing really terrible pain that is similar to a migraine, but w/ COMPLETELY different symptoms than normal. I have been keeping in touch w/ my neurologist, and she has ordered me another MRI which I am waiting to get done. I've also had to go to Urgent Care a few times, and all of the doctors keep saying they are "hoping" that I'm having A-typical migraines... While I sit around and wait, in extreme pain and feeling disoriented, I was hoping that any of you who experience migraines could list off ALL symptoms that you have EVER had, so I can see the possibility of this being the case. Thanks for helping put my mind at ease!! (or not... lol)
painless migraine symptoms in diabetes? i get wavy line distortions together with large black spots and of course clouding from the high sugar levels and macular leaking. They last about 10 minutes but is it possible that this is a type of painless migraine? It has been happening just after i started my first anti diabetic tablets which were metformin.

please decipher my blood test and does it have any connection to migraine symptoms.? I recently had to visit the hospital after feeling disorientated at work. When I got to the hospital I had a serious throbbing headache. My experience happened in Puerto Rico. The medical care I received was a joke. They forgot about me in the waiting room. I waited 4 hours with no help. The only thing I accomplished at the hospital was getting my blood taken. The staff couldn't speak English and I felt me being there was pointless so I left after 4-5 hours after feeling fine, just having a terrible headache. For 7 months after this I was completely fine until I came back home from surfing one day in the hot sun and began to feel disorientated again. My right hand felt a little numb and I had a throbbing headache again for 5 hours or more. I went online to a Medical service where a person pays a fee and can chat online with doctors instead of having to go through visiting a hospital. The doctor commented that she believes I experienced a "Classical Migraine with Aura". This was due to the fact I had exercised a lot prior to my throbbing headaches and the symptoms I explained about the numbness and disorientation both times seem to fit the category. The reason I am hesitant to make a big deal about seeking medical care is because I have a very high profile job which requires a strict yearly physical and I fear the fallout if bringing this to my managements attention and the other reason is I am simply living in a 3rd world country when it comes to medical care. The hospital visit from 8 months ago or so came back with the following blood test results: All results were normal however, the following things were high (flagged): WBC - 12.50 Normal levels: 4.5-11.0 K/uL RDW - 14.7 Normal levels: 11.5- 14.5% Neutrophils - 81.70 Normal levels: 47-76% BMP/ Glucose- 107 Normal levels:74-106mg/dl Creatine-1.33 Normal levels:0.8-1.3mg/dl Carbon Dioxide-32.5 Normal levels: 21-32mmol/L Thanks for the help cheers
Can Topamax + other drugs reduce migraine symptoms permanently? My neurologist has advised me to take Topamax as the core drug, and others as needed, to help break my constant head pressure (or chronic daily headache as she calls it.) She claims the combination will help to break the cycle and eventually I can get down to just a few days of headaches per month, and then come off all the drugs. Does it really work this way for some people? I'd like to be optimistic, but my skeptical side wonders if such a thing is even possible. Has anyone here had such an experience?

Post migraine symptoms and sneezing? my migraine is tapering off and I feel somewhat hungover. My stomach hurts and I'm feeling exhausted, nauseous, "floaty" and this feeling that my heart is going 100 miles per hour. What's weird is that I have this constant urge to sneeze that won't go away and it's making me extremely uncomfortable. Is that common after a migraine or am I just strange? Are any of these symptoms common? How long will they last?
Do these sound like migraine symptoms? For the last four weeks I've had a severe headache. I called my neurologist (I have epilepsy) and he said I'm having migraines and prescribed me medication but it's not helping. I'm scheduled for an MRI in a few days and a long term EEG next month. I have a feeling it's something other than a migraine because I have different symptoms. The symptoms are: Severe headache (sharp pains and pressure in all parts of my head) Head feels like it's on fire Dizziness Stiff joints (mainly in knees) Nausea Vertigo Weakness Burny eyes. I'm desperate for an answer. Any ideas?
silent migraine symptoms? Please help.? 'm 19 and i've had a variety of physical symptoms for years. I've always been able to deal with them until a few weeks ago when I started having intense depersonalization/depression along with the symptoms. I've seen doctors, have had all sorts of tests (EEG, CT Scans) and they can't find anything wrong, except for the fact that I have some small ovarian cysts. I did see a neurotologist who diagnosed me with having silent migraines. He prescribed me Topamax, but I can't take it because it gives me severe panic attacks I had to check myself into a psychiatric hospital because I just couldn't this. The psychiatrist said it's not migraines and just anxiety and prescribed me Prozac, Seroquel, and Pamelor, but it's not helping. I can't think of anything that would be cauing this intense depersonalization. My physical symptoms are: Blurry/double vision/seeing blue dots/stars Loud crackling sounds in both ears Pressure on one side of head "Heavy" feeling in right arm Memory loss Vertigo Tingling/numbness These symptoms are 24/7. What could this be? It's ruining my life.
Migraine symptoms??? I suffer from migraines and I believe that I might have had one while sleeping. Before going to bed I had vision symptoms then woke up alot during the night and woke up with my head feeling like there is pressure and eyes hurting most likely from video games it's around 2 days later and my head is still a little sensitive also I might be coming down with a illness here's those symptoms- nose run, slight aches, a little cold, no fever and no sore throat. And a slight stomach ache- with a loss of appetite. I don't believe it's the flu because thesymptoms and slight and I have been feeling like this for the past 2 days. And I heard from people that it just comes out of nowhere.
