Headache Relief? I have had this headache for three weeks on/off but its throughout the day, everyday-I take tylenol, advil, everything. Nothing even touches it. So I started taking double doses and even that isn't relieving my pain. I have tried all I can think of...I don't really want to go to the doc, I am just wondering what are some home remedy ideas for relief?!

Can someone help with headache relief please? I'm a not so healthy 32 yr old male. I get severe headaches that make me want to jump out a window. I've learned over the years that certain foods, exercise, drinking(only sometimes) all bring on a headache. My main concern is that no matter how bad the headache is it gets even worse if i lay down. Is this something to be concerned with? I don't take any OTC meds because they just don't work. What can I do short of beheading myself to stop this?
Any suggestion on headache relief that is not oral besides head-on? My 10 year old has a severe headache but is also vomiting. She threw up the medicine. Anything else I can do for her to relieve her headache. Laying down in a quiet room with a cold cloth is not helping either. Thanks! I have exams coming up which I have to study for, the problem is that I always get sore heads when concentrating on somehting for too long and I find that it disrupts my studying and I am afraid that it may affect my performance on the day. I've been to my optician and she says that I have perfect vision so its not that. Does taking more than the recommended dose of two aspirin provide greater pain relief from a common headache? In other words, will taking a third aspirin either make my headache pain lesser and/or make it go away faster, or am I simply wasting a pill by doing so? I should note that I do not currently have a headache. I would also never take more than three aspirin regardless of how much headache pain I had. I would seek medical attention if the aspirin did not help. The question is based on curiosity. I've seen other people take three aspirin and always wondered if it would make any difference to do so.

How Do I Get Rid of a Tension Headache? I need a new pillow-- it happens just about every morning when I wake up. From right between my shoulder blades to midway up the back of my neck/head feels so tight. My husband tries to massage out the knots, but then they come back. I've tried Bayer Tension Headache Relief as well as ibuprophen, but the headache just comes back. And it seems to be related to my sinuses too. I'm having horrible allergies right now from all this stupid pollen. Other than buying a new pillow, any suggestions?

headache relief besides tylenol? prepregnancy, i used to get migraines atleast once a week. they have almost disappeared since i found out i was pregnant until the last few weeks (16 weeks preg). i vomit all morning because my head hurts so bad, and i can not focus at work. tylenol does nothing. it helps to lay in bed, in a dark room, with a wash cloth on my whole face, and when my husband massages my head for hours, but sometimes i still have the headache for over a day. any remidies before i gouge my eyes out???

Cluster Headache sufferers, what do you do for pain relief? After being in remission for a year, these little devils have returned to plague me again!!! I'm literally to the brink of just jumping off a cliff or something. Is there anything in particular that you found works for you? I've tried the whole oxygen thing and it's ineffective for me. THESE ARE NOT MIGRAINES. I have cluster headaches which are completely different...they are not even a valid comparison. Migraines are a tickle in comparison to a cluster headache.

Ideas for headache relief? I have had constant headaches for the last 3 years now. I mean CONSTANT, I can't think of one day without pain. I get plenty of sleep, I don't drink a lot of caffeine, I drink plenty of water(but not to much). Usually I can stand the pain, I've learned to deal with it. on a normal day, the pain peaks at a about a 5, with a low around a 3(pain scale of 1-10, 10 being worst). every few weeks I get a killer migraine, usually around an 8 or 9, though I have had a few 10s. These are real migraines, pain so intense I am in tears, i can't stand even the slightest sound or light, I am collapsed, unable to move because of the pain. I haven't had insurance for the last 2 years, i can't go get it checked. I am looking for ideas of pain relief, legal ones preferably. I'm out of ideas. Excedrin makes me puke, and regular Tylenol, Alive, and Advil don't work anymore.

Headache relief - painkillers not working? I have a horrible headache - most likely caused by extreme stress as I am going through quite an emotional situation right now. First I tried ibuprofen for relief and that didn't work at all. Then I tried vicodin which helped for a little bit but isn't very helpful, and for obvious reasons I can't just take vicodin all day. Headache relief without taking painkillers? Does anybody have anything that could help? I get tension headaches quite a lot, and I want to avoid always taking painkillers. I've tried chewing gum to no avail, massaging the head does help a little but the pain returns as soon as I stop. Any suggestions would be gratefully recieved :)
Need Back Pain/Headache Relief Recommendations? I have suffered from a pretty bad herniated disc in my lower back for the past 3 years. I am 48 now. Over this time, I have had various injection procedures, that have produced little relief, unfortunately. My doctor doesn't think my condition warrants a 'strong' painkiller and he is so afraid of me getting addicted (I have no evidence of addiction in my medical history), that the only drug he has agreed to prescribe for me is one called Voltaren XR, which helps somewhat, but I wish I could have something stronger because I personally think it warrants it. I'm going to see him again soon and talk to him again about it, but I am not too hopeful. Anyway, this condition has limited me somewhat in my daily activities over this time. However, lately, like in the last week or so, I have noticed my back pain has dramatically increased for some unknown reason, and along with it, very persistent painful headaches. Usually, when I have had a headache in the past, some aspirin would take care of it. But since the onset of this increased back pain, aspirin does little if anything to ease the headache pain. I haven't tried any of those so-called 'extra strength' headache remedies yet. I am 99% convinced my headache pain is due to the increased back pain, as the headaches began at exactly the same time as the increased back pain. All I have been able to do is stretch, and lie on a heating pad to gain some relief, but it is very annoying, as the headaches just persist for hours and hours. The headaches are more bothersome actually than the back pain, although that also is noticeably worse. Why all of a sudden my back pain is worse and these headaches, I don't know. I don't recall having strained my back lately or anything. The seasons are changing from winter to spring...maybe that might have something to do with it. But I am really at a loss to explain it. I was thinking of maybe trying one of those OTC back pain products like Doan's Pills, but I really don't know if they are effective. If you've used one of these products and found relief let me know, as I don't want to waste money on something that won't help. And also something for the headaches...I could try those extra strength products, but again, who knows. Again, if you could recommend a good product or products to try for back/headache pain resulting from this condition, please let me know. I don't know where I am going with this back condition. I am considering chiropractic...what have I got to lose. Surgery has been mentioned, but I know with surgery it's a gamble, sometimes you get better, sometimes you actually might get worse. It is very frustrating. And then you see all these so called 'gimmicks' advertised everywhere for back pain because it is so common, you really don't know what works and what doesn't.. I don't want to do any more injections, I'm fed up with them. If you have any other general thoughts or suggestions, please share them with me, as I am starting to feel a bit desperate. Thanks.

I took a headache relief pill last night (acetaminophen)at 10:45 p.m. Is it safe to take a Xanex now? Its been 10 hours since I took the headache relief, Im just worried that the two medications will clash and it ill be unsafe. Will it be ok for me to take a generic Xanex? Took 4 extra strength headache relief pills and now feel REALLY funny? I had a bad headache so I took 2 extra strength headache relief pills and my head still hurt 20 minutes later so I look another two and now I feel really funny. I feel dizzy and my hand keeps twitching and it seems like my vision is somewhat messed up.
