What are possible causes for my lower back and leg pain? I'm 22 and since about a year ago, I've been having lower back pain that's been getting worst. I don't do sports and there was no injury to the area. It comes and goes but it's causing me more pain now and the pain is also in my legs. The pain is worst when I lie down at night and its a sharp pain radiating to a dull pain. The leg pain feels like nerve pain and it's been making my legs very weak and I have trouble walking at times. I also get this weird tingling sensation in my lower body and it makes my legs weak and knees buckle. I've been to several doctors and they told me it was muscle pain at first, told me to exercise, and gave me anti-inflammatory meds. None of that worked, and they are having xrays dones and my CT scan is schedule for monday. I'm pretty nervous, and the doctory said she does not know what it is without the test results and does not know what the problem could be. Anyone have similar experiences and can tell me what it was or any ideas what it could be? Will CT scans always be helpful to find out problems relating to my back pain? Seems like some of you think that I should not be getting a CT scan. What is the worst possible problem that could be causing my pain? I just want to be prepared. I don't do any lifting or heavy exercise, so the slipped disc thing seems weird... Does it just happen?

How do you deal with the back pain caused from an epidural? I had my daughter August 2006. I had to have an emergency C section so I had to have an epidural. I need a product to keep me from rolling on my back at night which causes back pain. Sore tailbone ideas?? I had knee surgery recently and I cannot sleep on my side all the way like I used to without turning on my back. When I sleep on my back, I wake up with my back aching badly and my tailbone hurts terribly all day long. I am looking for an idea of a product to buy. I want a wedge that will keep me from rolling on my side, but the ones I've found are too wide to share a bed with someone else. They seem to be made for sleeping on as you're on your back, not for preventing rolling over. I've tried a rolled up/taped beach towel but I can roll right onto that and it doesn't feel too well, as you can imagine. What is causes back pain? I've experienced this type of back pain before, and I thought it was due to carrying a heavy load in a one shouldered messenger bag. However, this time I can't really see any reason why. Basically, if I lie down or sit somewhere for a while, I will begin to straighten my back and I get intense, seemingly muscle pain in my right mid back, close to but not on the vertabra. The pain seems to ease if I stay hunched over or if I roll my shoulders back (sort of relaxing that back) The only thing I can think that would cause the pain is switching beds or because I had very sore muscles in that shoulder/arm. Can withdrawl of Marijuana cause back pain? A friend of mine has recently stopped smoking marijuana after what was once a daily routine of smoking. He now experiences really bad back pain and I was curious if this was some how related to the withdrawl of marijuana? All thoughts are appreciated.

My 2 year old toddler complains of back pain whie in car seat? My 2 year old has been complaining that her back hurts for about six months now. She is only complaining while in her car seat. We didn't think anything of it at first because she sometimes says her leg or finger, etc hurts. We decided to get it checked out because our doctor said the kids don't usually complain about their backs. So we had an ultrasound done to make sure her kidneys, bladder, etc are ok. Everything looked great! However, she is still complaining. We have the evenflo triumph carseat and I am wondering if it is making her slouch weird or causing her back to hurt because there may not be enough support. I have put a small pillow behind her back and she has stopped complaining before. I just wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem or has heard of their car seat being uncomfortable enough to cause back pain with their toddler. We are thinking about getting a new car seat, but help w/ any advice, comments, etc that anyone has about the back pain or car seat?
Can appendicitis cause back pain? AKA What is wrong with me? I've had the same sort of pain for about a week. It starts just to the right side of my right hip bone (in my lower abdomen) and radiates down my right leg into my knee and around my pelvic bone across my lower back. The pain is not constant (some days I have no pain at all) and is a bit like a cramping/stabbing hurt. It started out as a non-rhythmic throbbing, but as the week has gone by I'm now in some sort of pain when ever I'm on my feet. When sitting down the hip/abdominal pain goes away and I'm left with a dull lower back ache. I've also noticed that the pain always seems to flare up when ever I have to use the bathroom (bowel movement). I haven't had any trouble "going" but I do seem to be going more frequently. I have no nausea or fever, nor do I have a noticeably swollen abdomen. I've racked my brain and searched the internet for causes of these symptoms but I can't seem to diagnose them exactly. Kidney stones? Appendicitis? Ovarian cysts? Crohn's disease? Help! The pain is just on the left side of my right hip bone. (sorry for the typo)

Common causes for lower back pain? I have had lower back pain for the past month or so. It is centralized just above my tailbone and is much worse when I'm standing or walking. The best way I can describe it is that it feels like I'm constantly arching my back and sticking my butt out lol. That's not the case, but the only way to relieve the pain is to bend over or kneel down like I'm praying and touch my head to the ground... basically anything that involves curving my spine outward instead of arching it inward. What causes back pain and breast tenderness? I have been experiencing a lot of lower back pain, but now it seems to have moved to my upper back. I also have what seems to be a very swollen stomach (I usually have a very fast motabilism and I'm rather thin so I'm sure it's not general weight gain) My breasts are also very tender, which is quite unusual for me. The only thing that I have being doing differently recenty in terms of diet etc..is I have been taking acai berry capsules daily, for a few months (six a day as instructed on the pack) I have also been taking vitamin c with zinc capsules daily, skin hair and nails formula and cod liver oil capsules. I don't have it while i'm running, walking, or performing most day-to-day activities. What causes back pain like kidney stones, but isn't a kidney stone or infection? I have had back pain, predominantly on my right side, approximately where my right kidney is, for almost 5 months. 4 months ago it got very bad so I saw my PCP, and he diagnosed it as a kidney infection and possible stones and prescribed antibiotics which did very little to the pain. The pain slightly eased and I coped for a few more months. About a week ago the pain got very bad again so I went to urgent care. Due to blood in my urine (microscopic, not visible) and my description of pain and tenderness they believed it was a kidney stone, and they sent me to the ER. Upon admission they did a CT and found no stone or other remarkable abnormalities. They found no signs of infection. I was discharged and told to see my GYN. I saw her and she said the pain could not be gynecological, that I had no issues in that department, and that she believed the pain must be my kidneys. I plan to see a urologist soon, but would like an idea what this could be. Is there anything that can cause pain, and other various symptoms, that mimic a kidney stone and/or infection, but not actually be a stone, tumor, or infection? Thanks

Says on the bottle to drink lots of water, but dummy me didnt read that until now.
