have been diagnosed with pinched nerve in hip area. Needles didnt work permenantly got any ideas? would like to know if anyone out there has had more success with alternative treatments for pinched nerve in hip area
Can a pinched nerve in the hip also cause dull pain and numbness in the arms? I have been having some pain in my hip which my doctor believes is a pinched nerve.I have been set up for some testing but in the mean time I have started having dull aching pain with some numbness in both of my arms. pinched sciatic nerve and hip pain? i have been to my doctor and had an mri done and he said that i have 3 bulging discs that are pinching my sciatic nerve and also told me that i need surgery to fix it. my question is... it's mainly in my right leg and my right hip hurts very badly each time i walk or lie down and in the side of my calve has a burning sharp pain. i understand the leg pain is from the nerve, but the hip pain... it almost feels like it's in the joint, does a pinched sciatic cause this as well?
Why is it so painful to lay on my back? Is it my lower back, hips, pinched nerve? I'm 3 1/2 months pregnant with my 3rd child. This type of pain is fairly new to me. It's excruciating when I lay down on my back and even worst when I bend my knees. Last night I rolled over on my back and I could barely roll back over the pain was so intense(sharp and worst with movement) in my hips and buttocks. Would this be lower back pain or something else? How can you relieve a pinched nerve pain in your hip while pregnant? My hip hurts so bad and pain into my leg, where it feels as though my leg is going to give out while I walk. I imagine it's that wonderful sciatic nerve! Anyway, I'm calling the DR tomorrow, but want to know if anyone has had any luck relieving some or all of the pain at home. I want the pain to stop now! I am pregnant so meds are out of the question, except Tylenol, which is useless.
very sharp hip pain, feels like a pinched nerve. Is there anythinig I can do about it at home? Ever since I was 9 weeks pregnant with my son I've had extremely sharp, very painful and sudden hip pain. I thought it would go away when I had him.. but he's 9 months old and it's still there just as bad as ever. (so I've had this pain for 16 months now) The pain makes it almost impossible for me to roll over in bed some times and has made me fall a few times because I'll be taking a step and it's like I steeped right on a hip nerve. It's in my left him and hurts very badly. It's not a constant pain, but when I move just right it just kills. How do I get rid of a pinched nerve in my hip? I am not covered for chiopracter (I don't think, I can check my coverage). Also I am a single mom and don't really know alot of people of have family around... although my 9 year old could do a massage if I knew what tell her to do. Any tips on how to fix this? It is from carrying my one year old around on my right hip and now my left hip has a pinched nerve and is painful when I bend or pick things up. Could I possibly have a pinched nerve in my hip/back area? If I move a certain way, twisting, bending, etc, I get this stabbing pain on my back, but where my hip is. Pinched Nerve? Tingling fingers and hip stiffness? I woke up this morning, and think I must have slept poorly. I have a pain/stiffness in my left hip (where it meets the top of the thigh) - causes me to limp when walking. Trapped/pinched nerve in my hip. Doctor or physio? I thought I had pulled a tendon in my hip but now I think it is a trapped nerve. Online research says it is probably my siatic (?) nerve is trapped in my hip. I have been stuck lying on this couch all day and I'm fed up. I have too much to be doing to lie here another day. I have Bursitis in both hips & a pinched nerve in my right leg. What can I do to be free of all this? I have four kids, under 6 years of age, and have been dealing with it for 2 1/2 years. Recovering from a pinched nerve? I pinched a nerve in my hip about two and a half months ago. I stretch and workout daily. The pain isn't constantly there, but does bother me when I'm stretching and also when I'm lifting it sometimes hurts. hip and leg pain -- pinched nerve - pulled muscle??? 2 weeks ago I moved some furniture by myself. Since then, I've had what felt to be a pinched sciatic nerve, twice. The first time it cleared up in a couple of days. This time, it's been a week but the symptoms are different than they were at the beginning. Now, it feels more like a pulled muscle...it hurts when standing still and when walking....it almost feels like the muscle in my hip has drawn up. When walking, it hurts on the front of my hip. Could I have pulled the muscle and the pinched nerve is a by-product of that? I've tried Aleve and heat packs. When should I go to the dr? Any suggestions?
Horriable hip pain due to pinched nerve. Can't take anti-inflamitories. Sugestions? The pain is unbearable? I pinched a nerve in my lower back a few months before I got pregnant. It is sending reefed pains to my hip and it feels like a very VERY sharp pain right in my hip joint and some times it's so bad that I can't even walk. The pain is unbearable. Some times it lightens up a bit, some times it gets worse, just depends on the day really. I was on anti-inflamitories but I had to stop taking them because of the pregnancy. Sore throat, pinched nerve, muffled hearing? I've had a sore throat for a little under a week now (I've taken lemon and honey, cough drops, gargled salt water, drank vinegar...), and a few days ago my ears (mostly the left) started to sound...odd. It's not painful, but there's a sensation of a little water stuck in the ear and noises have that same underwater quality. I guess it's an ear infection, but a painless one - I hope it stays that way. And as for the pinched nerve...It started because I sat down in a certain position a few days back and I guess it got squeezed. It's the femoral/hip nerve, as well as the lower back, where my spine connects to my hip. No matter how I sit or lie down it hurts, and walking isn't pleasant either. Any ideas?
Can a pinched nerve in the neck cause random pain spasms in the back, hip, and buttocks? I'm trying to figure out the cause (and solution) to random pain spasms in my back and hips. It's been going on for two years. It started in my back and I couldn't sleep. Then it went to my hips and it's circling my hips. Pinched nerve? I went water skiing about the end of june. Since then i have had a very sore lower back. It is safe to say i can not sit still for more than 10 minutes without moving my legs out to stretch and relieve my back. My parents think it is "using new muscles". I can lay down on the floor and sometimes it will feel fine, but sitting up in a chair, couch, desk, etc i cant handle. When i stand up i have no problem with it. I told my aunt and she thinks that it is a pinched nerve. I went to the chiropractor and he said the hip was out and he put it back in and it feels a little better. I try to ice it but it is no use. What might it be. Also if it was using new muscles i am sure i would have no pain now.

Anyway to stop the pain of a pinched Nerve? I am 14 and I have had gone to a chriopractor for a while now, but recently I threw out my hip again(so says my mom) and now she says that my right leg has a pinched nerve and it hurts so bad. I take Martial Arts and was punched in my right arm. 2 days later, a stiff neck and my skin from my ear lobe down to my hip felt tender to the touch similair to how sunburn feels. how much more flexible can i get before my summer intensive? i'm going to a summer intensive this year that starts towards the end of june. right now i am not too terribly flexible, especially because a few months ago i had a pinched nerve in my hip. right now i am about an inch away from both my left and right split and about maybe 7 inches from a straddle split. is it possible/safe for me to get my straddle split & left and right splits before my intensive?
Do you think this is a pinched nerve? Well, a while ago, when i would lay down in a certain position, there would be a HUDGE pain around my hip area and it would kind of shoot down my leg. Now, it doesnt really hurt, it is just kind of numb. If it is a pinched nerve, is it serious? would i have to go to the doctor or anything? By the way i havent told anyone yet.
Once or twice a year I get a pinched nerve in my lowerback. I can barely stand or sit, my right hip sticks way out & my left side is distorted. It's the worst feeling ever. Is there any type of stretching or physical therapy that I can do to prevent this from occcuring? I am taking Vicodin & Valium & using ice pack. I can't drive to the Dr.. i had a bulging disc in my lower back and now i still get some pain like a nerve pinching with bending? the nerve pinches in the front hip area and when I move my hips around they crack. anyone else suffer from this. what can help me? i have a 2 yr old jack russell with leg pains please read for more details....? this started about 2-3 weeks ago and I took him to the vet when i first noticed it, they prescribed rhymidal (?) 2 times X day for 5 days but it has got worse, it takes him awhile to get up from laying down and sometimes he cant get up, sometimes he cant go up stairs, like i said he is 2 and i also have a 15 yr old golden retriever and my JR is in more pain than my GR. Does anyone have experience with a pinched nerve causing heel spurs and achilles tendonitis? I've been seen by a rheumatologist, podiatrist and am now trying an orthopedist. All of them are treating the symptoms, but I have no explanation of the cause of the problem. Today, a chiropracter looked at my back and found two locations above my hips that were extremely painful when pressure was applied. He feels that is the cause of the problem in my feet. I'm going to check into this further, but wanted to know if anyone else has dealt with a similar problem. Any ideas as to what I have? I am worried about DVT, because I'm a hypochondriac.? Hello all. I'm a 21yo male. I have (in the last three days) experienced a strange pain in my left inner thigh. It's best described as maybe a dull ache.. Anyhow in the last three days I've had three small onsets, usually lasting less than 2mins. The is anywhere from my knee to the mid-thigh. It's not groin pain. The reason I say it is strange is because when it does not ache, I have no other pain in the leg, it's as if it just vanishes. Anyhow, the pain isn't agonizing, but rather an inconveniance. I am obese, so I understand that I am at greater risk for DVT, but I have (sticking to my new years resolution lol) lost about 40lbs and have been eating better. The pain, as I said is non-existant except for the brief flashes. I DO NOT show these symptoms of DVT: -Redness -Swelling -Tenderness to the area Could it be related to a pinched hip nerve? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Pain in right hip, is it a nerve? Hello. For probably about three years now, I've had some irritation in my right hip. It's not a physical pain, but I think it may be a pinched nerve. It just feels like something is squeezing my hip, like my underwear is too tight, but even when nothing is on it bugs the crap out of me. I'm only 19 so it probably isn't arthritis or anything. I've never had any damage or surgery there or anything. Pain killers do nothing. My mom keeps saying it's hormones. I don't know, but I can barely stand it any longer and would like some answers. How to fix a bad hip? I have a pinched nerve in my hip, and it's a recurring thing. It happens because my femur doesn't sit just right in the socket. do i have an over extened muscle or pinched nerve in my hip? i played softball about 6 years ago. i played third base. a runner ran to third and i tripped over them by falling backwards. its hard to explain but picture you on your knees and leaning back like almost sitting on your feet. the runners legs were between your feet and butt going long ways from left to right. i felt a shooting pain. i got benched for the inning. after the game i went home and iced and heated it. my mom said not to go to the doctor because all they would say was take pain medicine and put ice and heat. she didnt want to pay for something she could do herself. i still have a shooting pain in my hip in the same place. its gets worst when im on my feet hours at a time and during the winter. with my job i have to stand on my feet for at least 8 hours a day. was wondering what it was and what i can do to help it.

HEAVY HEART!! What should I do? :(? I'm a 32 yr old single mother of 2. My daughter's father is 41 (our daughter is 15 months). I admit that when I first notified my daughter's dad of my pregnancy he said "we'll talk." But after my decision to 'keep it', he became upset in which I can understand bc I deeply feel that I did not give him a chance as the father to be involved (his input, advice etc.) after he made the suggestion (which I feel was the right thing to do). He's upset still and will not talk to me (at all), he ignore, block, ditch/ dodges me. Here it is I would curse him out/ snap never realizing that I NEVER GAVE HIM A CHANCE!! I'm so hurt. My heart is very, very heavy. No matter how disrespectful I've gotten/ been he has never disrespected me. I did write him an apology letter about not hearing him out and that I was wrong etc. I told him that it's my fault I don't hold anything against him for what he has not done thus for her although I would like for him to. I went thru pregnancy/ delivery without him. His first visit to see her 6 days after her birth he still wouldn't talk to me though he asked a few questions regarding her (we barely said anything to each other during his few hour stay). I couldn't hold back the tears. It's been so hard for me as me, my 2 kids & oldest nephew were in a car accident whereas I sustained severe injuries on my entire left side (head, neck/ whiplash, collar, back, side, arm numbness/ pinched nerve in hip which effects my walking). I cannot properly care for her, lifting/ carrying her is hard on my injuries as this accident has really affected my life. I told her dad about it and the difficulties of trying to care for her. I've contacted him at least 30x (Myspace, Face Book, texts) alone. I feel that yes I've become way too naggish/ bothersome with the constant contacting and the disrespectful behavior in which is what's causing him to run away. I feel that bc of my deep care about him I don't know how to leave him alone (give him space/ time) etc. I admit, I HAVE A PROBLEM, I don't know how. It's not being done purposely as my fear is them not being in each others lives. I want to stop but I don't know how. This is really destroying me bc we're both hurting. The baby even knows when I'm crying, she'll wipe my eyes & hug me. She's so smart, I ask her "where's daddy?" She smiles and she can point him out of a photo line up (him pictured in a group with others), this hurts. I messed up so bad/ so much. I really wish we could talk bc there's a lot for us to talk about. What should I do?? Thanks.
Do I have a pinched nerve in my hip? So last night I woke up in the middle of the night and on both sides of my hips (my right side in particular) I had extreme pain. It felt sharp and burning hot, and it hurt to move around in my bed. When I stopped moving, the pain would stop unless I touched my hip. When I woke up it was gone, and now it is hurting a bit and hurts to touch etc. Also, some notes: I am a teenager, so I am possibly still growing (although I just went through a growth spurt last year so I doubt that), I have very bad posture, and THIS HAS happened to me before. It doesn't happen often, but when it does it is extremely painful. Like I said, its like a sharp burning hot pain that hurts both when I move and when I touch it. Please help me to identify what this is. Would it be a pinched nerve? What else could it be? (Is it something serious?) Also, what can I do to get rid of pain and also the problem so that this stops happening. Thanks in advance!
Pinched nerve in back? Help!? Last week I was climbing up one of those inflatable water slides when someone came up behind me and scared me. I slid backwards like 7 ft and then fell about 3 feet into only about a foot of water. My back "crunched" and hurt for like 10 minutes but the pain went away and I forgot about it. Last night, I went to a dance party and while I was dancing, I think I kind of like "triggered it." Since then, I have had pain in one side of my back that is drastically getting worse. This morning I had pain only if I bent it a certain way and now I can barely walk. The pain radiates around my hip and it's only on my right lower back. It really hurts whenever I put pressure on my right foot. Please help! I'm in so much pain and I have dance this week. What should I do? So far, I'm taking advil, putting on icey hot, heating it, and laying in child's pose and I'm getting no relief. The pain also is bad if I'm sitting for a while and try to walk.

Hip pain possible a pinched nerve? started a year ago comes and goes can't even get out of bed. Got X-ray done on back it looked good. Went to chiropractor and got lower back cracked still hurts leg feels like ut is asleep know just sore and ex-stream sharp pain sometimes. If you get a pinched nerve will you feel pain immediately? I emptied the dumpster at work, didn't feel any pain,but later after I got home my hip started to hurt.The next morning I woke up in unbearable pain. Could this of happened when I emptied the dumpster?
Pinched nerve at 7 months pregnant? I'm 7 months along and think I have a pinched nerve in either my hip or top of my butt. The whole area hurts on both sides so badly that I can't sleep. I went and got a prenatal massage but that did not help. Any suggestions on how to unpinch or ease the pain? Being this far along I can only sleep on my sides which makes it worse.

How to treat a pinched nerve? I am not 100% sure I have a pinched nerve but the other day I stood up and felt a pull in my upper thigh. It didn't really hurt but the area went numb. It's been numb since then, and now it pulls and hurts, burns. I even noticed it when I rolled over on my hip bone that I felt the pull in my thigh. My guess is a nerve is pinched on my hip bone? Any ideas on how to treat this? I've heard walking it off but it hurts and pulls with every step. Also, I'm 12 weeks pregnant, which may or may not have anything to do with it. Any ideas on how to help it go away?

I was bucked off of my horse and pinched a nerve, so I couldn't get right back up on him. Advice? I was bucked off my horse after a good spook, and pinched a nerve in my hip so I can't get back up on him today. Does anyone have any advice on what I should do to keep it from turning into a vice? Should I get a trainer out here if I can't get back on him in the next few days? He's just a spooky horse...it wasn't a tack issue because I've sat on him and rode him in the barn. When he gets out in the field everything spooks him. I've tried sacking him out, but it's always something new and his reaction is to cow-hop and bolt, and he's really fast so I never see it coming. I've fallen off twice, but this time I couldn't even get off the ground and I had to have my husband put the horse away and get me in the house. It definitely isn't behavioral or laziness, he's just SUPER spooky. I've heard that if you don't get back on a horse immediately after a buck, it can become behavioral, so I was worried about that.
