Will Urgent Care do anything for Morton's Neuroma (severe ball of foot pain)? I have had severe foot pain for 2 weeks now, mainly in the ball of my foot and 2 of my toes. After looking up what it could be, I think I may have Morton's Neuroma, since all the symptoms match perfectly. I haven't seen a doctor yet but I'm going to Urgent Care tonight because the pain is almost unbearable, but will they be able to diagnos that? And do you think they'll be able to do anything for it?
Strange Foot Pain below ball of foot? Okay, it's a little annoying to describe foot pain, but I'll give it a shot. So, you have the ball of your foot (the pad below your toes, and the larger pad below your big toe) and there's an indent right in the middle a little below the pad, but a little before your arch begins, right in the middle of the width of your foot. That's where it's aching/cramping up. There's also a circle of pain at the back of the arch, right before it turns into the heel below the knob of your ankle bone. It hurts like crazy in there too. It feels okay when I'm not standing on it, and gets much worse if I'm putting any weight on it. It feels the best when it's pressed on. Any ideas what this is or how to help it? Thanks!
ball of foot pain? I recently starting walking on the treadmill again. I have found that I have severe pain in the ball of my foot. It is primarly located behind the 2nd.toe. The pain increases when I walk or bear weight on it. Has anyone else had this. What have you done to fix it. I do have well fitting shoes and I don't want to give up walking on the treadmill. Thanks
Why is the ball of my foot sore ? Right foot sore over a week and getting worse. Don't wear high heels, no running or exercise, not flat footed or diabetic. Very sore point centre of ball of foot. Pain now rising up leg. Going on hols in 2wks - what can I do ? What could be going on? Plse help. I did have a Plantar Wart in this area about 8 yrs ago if this helps. Thank you so far for the answers.
ball of foot pain (left foot) and knee pain (right knee)? Lately I've been trying to go towards barefoot running (don't answer if you're gonna criticize) I did a workout about a week ago in vibram five fingers. I shouldn't have because I probably wasn't ready for it. But about a day later, i started to get pain in the ball of the foot under the big toe and near the outside of my foot, but it still seems like its on the ball of the foot. Also, recently, (i'm not sure if this is directly from the vff workout) my right knee has been bothering me. It's hard to describe the area but it seems like its inside the knee (possibly joint)? even though I'm only 16 years old. when i stand on my right foot and sort of bend my knee a little, it hurts the most... Any help? Much appreciated
Foot pain in ball area after stepping on something.? While wearing some thin slipperer over jagged rocks last month I felt a sharp pain like a tender bruise on the ball of my foot...it has not compleatly gone away yet. I thought it was a bruise that would fade away after the few days of tender limping. I do feel better but, how long should this take and what is going on with this mostly pain free/popping lump on my ball? Did I break it or is this something more common. 33 male, tennis shoes most of the time, light jogging and lots of standing. Only other foot problem was once every few years I get a shot of electric pain in my little tow if I bend it to far, since I was a kid.??? Thanks
Ball of foot pain? Orthotics provide softness to most of my foot, what can I do to soften the hard part of the shoe underlying the ball of the foot? With something like Dr. Scholl's gel pads, I have the feeling that my heel is higher than my toes. Please help if you can.
Metatarsalgia aka ball of foot pain. Help? The day after my team ran a hard 10 X 400 workout, the ball of my foot started hurting a lot when I put pressure on it walking to class. I looked up my symptoms and it looks like I have Metatarsalgia. I'm really worried because our season starts next Monday and I need to keep training. None of the sites really pinpoint how long the recovery time is. Does anyone with experience know how long this takes to heal? Also, lately, I've been taking anti imflammatorys when I come home and icing it (20 minutes on, 20 minutes off, for whenever I can) and walking on the outside of my foot to avoid putting pressure on it. Does anyone have any other tips? Thanks in advance! I appreciate it. *This same question is under the Running category, but I wasn't getting any responses, so I decided to try here :)
Foot pain and overpronation? I have very bad foot pain and limping as well. Its arch pain, ball of foot pain.. I checked with poditrist. he says you have low arch and now overpronation.. Can any one help on my below question 1) How long it takes to recover from overpronation using orthotics 2) do I have to use orthotics for rest of my life ? any one experienced cure from overpronation ? or is it for ever ?
Severe foot pain under toes- ball of foot? Hi, I wore my work shoe for one day - it had a hole in it. NOW I have a excuciating painful foot, it "clicks" like snapple bottle cap. I guess it is bone, so painful what can I do and id this going to create problems for me in the future. I have since gotten a new comfortbale shoe and have been staying off of it, so I know that is an obvous remedy anything else you can add i'd be grateful. Thanks so much!!
I have foot pain in the upper part of my foot, the ball and the top, but not the toes or heel or arch.? The pain is located on the ball of my left foot and continues around to the top. The toes, heel and arch are not involved. If I push on the sides of the balls of my feet the pain is the worst. The pain is the worst in the middle of the night and keeps me awake. Even though I don't want to walk it seems to get better. This pain will last a couple of days and then go away only to come back, reasons unknown, in a week or so. Nothing I read about seems to identify my exact problem. The first time this pain occurred was in the middle of the night about a month ago and I thought I had broken my foot. It has since occurred two more times.
Foot pain with weight bearing, on ball of foot under little toe? For almost a week now I've experienced foot pain, only occuring with weight-bearing (and causing me to limp!). It hurts at the ball of the foot under the little toe, sometimes the pain spreads across the ball or down the outside of the foot. There's no swelling and its not tender, and I've had no significant change to physical activity. The nurse at a walk-in centre could only suggest that it was 'general foot pain' and suggested ibuprofen. Any ideas as to what it might, more specifically, be - and how to treat it? Now I'm also experiencing some pain at the ankle, possibly in the tendon that runs to the big toe - is this possibly just a subsequent strain injury, as I've been walking/limping funny to take the pressure off the other side of my foot? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Pain in ball of foot and toe. What should I do to eliminate pain? After developing a lot of pain in both feet (all the toes and the balls of my feet), I discovered that I was setting my feet on end crunching my toes at an angle while surfing the net. I've been diligent at keeping my feet flat since. I've replaced my insoles with gel insoles. My left foot was fine within a week of these practices. I still have pain in the right foot in the ball and the big and 2nd toes. I will be replacing my 1 year old New Balance sneakers (main footwear) next month.
severe foot pain any ideas what could be causing it? Last week I broke a plate. When I was cleaning up I go a small sliver of it stuck in my foot - I removed it - ever since then I have been having severe pain the ball of my foot. There is nothing stuck in it and its not bruised but it is incredibly painful so much so Im considering an x ray - anyone else had anything similar? Many thanks xxxx
I have foot pain in top of foot and arch? Im a 14 year old basketball player and I have sore pain right behind the ball of my foot in my arch and along the big toe's bone ( not on the toe its self but along the top of my foot). It seems to be re occurring as I can heal it for a couple of days and then when I play again the pain comes back. Any ideas what it is, and possible treatments?
Foot pain getting me down has anyone else had similar pain.? 10 weeks of foot pain, had xray, not a stress fracture. Blood test showing slight raised inflammation levels. Gripping pain in the ball of my foot, with sharp pain radiating into middle toes. Now having to wear trainers almost permanently. Doctor has booked another blood test but cannot tell me what it is. Arthritis has been ruled out.
I have severe foot pain what can I do? I have severe pain in both of my feet, sometimes it is sharp and sometimes it is dull. It hurts most in my arch and in the ball of my feet it feel like there is something in there. My big toe has some sharp pain and it usally hurts so bad it keeps me from falling asleep. The weird thing is that I feel like there is a ball in the ball of my foot not my heel. My arch hurts alot and when the pain gets intense it goes to my ankle. I have looked up gout and spurs, but gout sound different than what I feel, and spurs are in the heel. If anyone has any suggestions please, help me. I can't take this anymore.
What is causing my foot pain from running? A couple days ago I ran 5 miles. Since then, my right foot has been in pain every time I take a step on it. I've been looking up on what it could be, and can't figure it out. I don't think it's Plantar Fasciitis because there isn't pain when I apply pressure to the heel. The pain seems to be right in the middle of my foot, and only when I walk on it. When I walk on only the heel or ball of the foot, there is a lot less pain (of course, it looks silly doing this). So it's only when I shift my weight from the back of the foot to the front, going over the middle. I have a triathlon in a couple weeks so I want to figure out what this is a.s.a.p. and fix it quickly. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
What might be causing the foot pain on the balls of my feet and my toes? I get this foot pain that comes and goes. I had it for approx. 2 months, and it effects me everyday. It's only with my left foot, and it effects only the two toes to the left of my big toe, and part of the ball of my foot. Sometimes I almost can't walk on it, but I can relieve the pain if I curl my toes while walking. I had a concussion a long time ago that has caused a tingling sensation in my feet. I wonder if it worsened. Anyway I'm going to see a doctor about it, but I'm wondering if anybody has an idea of what could be causing it. I've had no injury to that foot for years. Nothing is broken. I had a doctor exam in August and I was completely healthy, except my sugar level was kind of high (90 something).

I have foot pain from running in a 5k race. Has anyone had the same symptoms and if so what is the treatment? I have been running for one year consistently (with no pain). I am 25 yrs old (190 lbs). Three weeks ago I ran in a 5k race. In the 5k, I ran normal until the end of the race. At the end I sprinted as fast as I could for ¼ of a mile. Once the race was over I felt good with no pain. At home, I took my shoes off, took 10 steps and began to feel pain only in my right foot (on the back outside not on the ball) every step I took. I thought I pulled a muscle and didn’t think much about it. After limping two weeks and taking an entire bottle of ibuprofen, I began to feel better and was able to walk without a limp and not noticeable pain. After the two weeks I also played some tennis and with hardly any pain. Today (3 weeks later) I decided to run again (2 miles). Halfway through the run (1 mile) I felt the pain again. My foot again is very tender. Do I need new shoes? Is this Plantar Fasciitis. What about flat feet? Should I see a doctor? Will it ever go away? Please help. would a physio be able to ease my foot pain? about 3 month ago i was on my feet all day in uncomfortable shoes, my last 3 toes start hurting and i could barely walk for a few days then the pain went into the ball of my foot which has been constantly aching since, id gladly pay to get it sorted but don't know who to see
Walkers/Runners--newbie with foot pain question? This summer when I went to my doctor to see what could possibly be causing my recent numerous migraines, the answer turned out to be my blood sugar. I am not a diabetic, but if I can't learn to behave myself, there are needles in my future. I don't want that! So I started watching my diet and walking daily, early in the morning to avoid the heat. Usually my friend walks, too, and we go at a pretty good clip. I wear several different pairs of athletic shoes for walking, because I wear them almost exclusively, flats only occasionally, and heels maybe a few times a year. I have also been "jogging" with the Wii Fit from time to time, doing the Free Run and doing the actual jogging on a jogging trampoline. I have had a minor, nagging pain in the ball of my left foot off and on for several months now, even before I started exercising. It seems to date from when I had to wear my chorus shoes (character shoes, if you know what those are) for several hours for chorus competition in the spring. They are heels about and inch and a half high, and they are the highest shoes I own. When I am standing, walking, or jogging, the pain feels like I have a lump in the ball of the foot, but when I sit down to examine it, there is no lump there. I actually have had a foot x-ray, because my regular doctor didn't know what it is, either. Nothing showed up on the x-ray. As far as I can tell, it seems to make no difference which shoes I wear, or whether I walk or jog. In fact, I can't tell that anything I do makes a difference. (Just for the record, I have lost about 25 pounds since I started, but there's plenty of weight left.) I have only missed doing at least SOME exercise on two days in over two months, but I don't recall a difference then either. It comes and goes as it pleases. We haven't been able to afford for me to see a foot doctor, but I may be able to do that in a few weeks. Until then, any advice? Do you have any idea what this is? I have no hope of continuing to lose weight without the exercise, and would probably start piling it right back on. I can't stay off my feet anyway, because I am a stay-at-home mom with a two-year-old. Any words of wisdom would be appreciated. I will also be posting a couple of related questions shortly. Thanks! (I will also be posting this in the health category.)
How do i relieve foot pain from high arches? I have very high arches and have a lot of pain on the ball of my foot and my arches. I also get bad calluses below my 1st toe and 5th toe. I have tried insoles for high arches but they do not seem to help. I also get shin splints i believe because of my unstable arches and possible overpronation. any suggestions on products? should I see a podiatrist?
Excrutiating unbearable foot pain? I am a Lupus patient. Every now & then I get a sharp burning pain in one of my toes. This is usually something I can tolerate, & then it disappears within a week or two. For the past couple weeks I have had intense excrutiating pain on the ball of my right foot, & in my right toes as well as the left ones. It's a burning pain coming from within. The areas are red, appear swollen, & the discomfort I feel is relieved by squeezing my foot. if I stay off my feet for about 30 minutes, the pain goes away but as soon as I move around again I'm in tears because it hurts so much. What is this? This has been going on too long & I am irritated that I am suddenly so immobile.
I have major foot pain...why? So, I run and I took a month off after this past track season. I started running this week. I ran for 3 days and on the 4th day, I woke up and there was a terrible pain in the ball of my right foot. It is now a bunion I think. It has been almost 2 full days since I got it and it hurts so bad that I can't walk normal. It is so weird because I woke up with it! I wear orthodics and I have been using this pair for 1/2 year-- does this have anything to do with it? Or is it just because I have started running again? What is the quickest way to heal it? Oh! Also, I tried running on it and it hurts more on top of my foot when I run. Please help!!
Any suggestions for foot pain? I usually wear flat shoes and a month ago I went to a business conference and wore shoes with a heel for three days and did a lot of walking. I am now having major foot pain in my right foot. The pain is on the bottom of the foot and wraps around the ball of my foot to the top of the heel. It even hurts when I am not puting weight on it. I go to bed at night and it rests for a couple of hours, but when I go to get out of bed I can hardly stand. (I have even fell when I tried to put weight on it suddenly in the middle of the night) There is no visible swelling or bruising, just intense pain. I have no health insurance, so I am alway's asking others advice and ideas. I wonder what it could be or at least what I can do to help the pain.
When i kick a soccer ball i feel pain in my foot? Other day i was playing soccer and i didnt kick the ball properly and i think i sprained it. Then i tried the RICE technique and the pain was gone in a day. I was able to run and walk without pain. Now after 2 days when i tried to kick the ball i felt a sharp pain in foot ( for like 1 second, then it goes away) and whenever i kick the ball the same happens. Now i completely confused, i am sure i didnt break my foot. I have a feeling it is internal bruise. I need your take on this, I have a tournament in 2 weeks do u think i will be healed. Any suggestions of pain killers.
Anyone know anything about foot pain? For the last few days i have had a sharp pain in the middle of my Right foot, when i walk normally, but not if i walk on the ball of my foot. It is quite painful, and makes me limp. It is a little painful also around my ankle. Any one have any ideas what i have done to it?
Pain In The Ball of My Foot? I started track last week and ever since, i've had a pain in the ball of my foot between my middle and ring toe in my left foot? Any tips to relieve pain?
Pain near ball of foot? When I stand on my left foot after waking up or resting for a while I have a strong pain in my left foot. It's located just below the ball of my foot, where it goes in - not as low as my arch, though. The pain starts there and shoots to the top and outer side as I walk on it. This has been going on for a while - maybe 6 months. (I know I should see a doctor, but it seems like all they ever want to do is put you on pain medication instead of figuring out the root problem.) I'd love to know what is causing this, if there's anyone who can give me any ideas! Thanks!
What is the cause of my foot pain? I've been noticing foot pain on and off for almost around a year now. I did some resarch and i belive it is in the location of the "Adductor Hallucis" in the sole of my right foot. Location-wise, the pain is centered underneath the ball of my big toe, if that makes sense. (sort of in the crease of the ball of my foot). the pain feels more like pain in the bone, rather than muscle strain. I can really feel it when i flex my foot, as well as when i massage that area. Any ideas about whats going on with my foot would be really appreciated. thanks!
Foot pain recommendations? I have already gotten insoles and they work great it is when I walk long distances that it becomes affected after a hour of walking at a fast pace. The pain is in the ball and arch of my foot and sometimes goes to the calf. My feet are sensitive to walking on marble tile as well.
this is a tough one.... bone/foot pain? okay so I have had this random pain in my right foot for about 6 years now. I am a runner for college now but i also play tons of other sports so im always constantly on my feet. I have gone to the doctor and got x-rays but they didn't know what was wrong and gave me shoe inserts. it didn't help. The pain is very sharp and once it starts i have to stop running or not put weight on that part of my foot. Its right in the middle of my foot at the beginning of my arch and base of the ball of my foot. The pain feels like a bone is about to stick through my skin. its hard to describe but any ideas would be great thanks!

Oh by the way , this pain was created after dancing for a week and 4 days ... So when I jump , I feel a pain at ball of my foot , on the center of my tibia bone and my leg muscles I guess ... Foot pain, numbness and deformed? This is a bit of a random questioin, I've been meaning to go to the Dr's about but don't have the time. My toes on my foot have slowly over the past few years become deformed, slanting towards the others, the nails themselves are becoming ingrown on the lower 3 toes on each foot. But one foot is less so. To the point now where they have started to be painful. This is just part of it, about a month ago o started to get an intense pain in the ball of my foot that hurt for a week, then stopped and a few days later came back. After having this pain it has left me with a feeling of numbness in some toes. I'm 19 - stuff like this doesn't seem normal?
Foot pain in the ball of my toes! Please help....? Last night i was doing some full leg stretches before bed and I was sitting down on the floor with my legs in front of me doing a reach-stretch (pulling back on my toes) and when i stood up i had this horrible pain in the ball of my foot (almost like i had pulled something). I tried sleeping it off but i woke up and its worse than before. It hurts to walk on the ball of my toes below where my big toes is and all around. it feels severley bruised or something. What have I done?
I have foot pain in top of foot and arch? 10 points.? I have sore pain right behind the ball of my foot in my arch and along the big toe's bone ( not on the toe its self but along the top of my foot). It seems to be re occurring as I can heal it for a couple of days and then when I run again the pain comes back. Any ideas what it is, and possible treatments?
Big Toe/Ball of foot pain? I was at a gym jumping on the trampoline and on one jump my legs went spaghetti and the trampoline pushed up to my big toe and made it bend pretty hard. Since then It hurts to walk (I have to avoid the ball of my foot where the big toe is ) and when I do press down on it, I get a pain a bit below the ball of my foot (towards my heal) on the muscle or whatever is there. It also hurts to bend the toe down, theres a pain where my toe meets my foot on the joint I guess? (yes I can still move my toe). Is this a strain or something more serious? feedback asap would be appreciated my foot doesnt hurt when I dont move or touch it, but when I do I give it a 5 out of 10 on the pain scale.
Foot Pain under the Ball of my foot, Please Help? I have had foot pain for about 2 months now. Its right under the ball of my foot and kind of shoots towards my ankle on the inside of my foot. I went and saw the Dr. and they did and X-ray and everything showed up fine. They gave me a medical shoe to wear so I couldn't bend it and they said it would go away in 7-10 days. But they never said what was wrong. It still hurts and I can't wear some shoes on my right foot because its slightly swollen... I also have a hard time bending my big toe upwards. I know something isn't right, I just don't know what it is and Dr.s wont investigate any further. Please Help!
What running sneakers would be good for someone with foot pain? I like to run a few miles 5x a week but im noticing i cant find a shoe that is comfortable. I think i suffer from heel spurs because i start off with pain in my heel and ball of my foot and then it goes into the arch. It hurts to the point i limp when i walk. Is there a particular sneaker that may help with this? Especially when i work out and run?
recommend a shoe for ball-of-foot pain? I just got this job where i need to stand for hours at a time. At first my feet feel great but as time goes on my ankles and the ball of my feet start to ache. I am wearing pumas but i think i need some better shoes. I'm also flat footed. Should i get some kind of gel foot pad thing for my shoes or just get new shoes? If you could give me a great shoe website that would be super. Thanks! Oh, here is some more information that might be relevant. I'm 18, i do not play sports. I do not run a lot. I'm in pretty good shape, I just have terrible feet. Thanks a lot!
Wearing 4-5 inch heels + long periods of standing = OUCH! How do you ignore/reduce the ball of the feet pain? I'm on the smaller size and love to wear high heels, the higher the better but the higher the more painful of course. 3 inch no problem, 4 inch is still ok and bearable and 5 inches kill me after an half our of standing, even with the gelpads. So for now I stick to 4 inch heels, they still become painful at the balls of my feet after let's say 2 hours of standing. My goal is to master the 5 inch heels for almost daily use, I love to be taller and I also love the heels so why not. I'm wearing them around the house the last weeks as much as I can, even when they start to hurt until I reach a certain limit. I must say I feel a little difference compared to the first week, the ball-feet-pain is very slowly reducing in intensiveness but still there of course. It takes time for my feet to adjust I guess? So how do some girls do it without that particular pain? Do they just ignore it? Maybe they have a higher pain tolerance then me? Or their feet just don't hurt after maybe years of practise? Please let me know! Thanks!
bad pain in the arch of my foot? Okay, so i was playing football this friday night and i'm a corner, which requires lots of movement in different ways. I was backing up and saw it was a run, so i took a hard plant step with my foot, now everytime i step on that foot, there is a very bad pain in the arch. it even hurts when i move my toes and especially when i'm putting pressure on the ball of my foot by my big toe. please help me out, i need to get ready for next week's game. any sugestions to help me get better faster would be much appreciated
I have pain in my left foot...? I have pain in the ball of my left foot. I do wear heels, but I also experience the pain if I wear flat-heeled shoes. It's a 'burning' pain and seems to be completely ramdon, and 'comes up' from the ball of my foot into the top part of my foot. I am a student of martial arts and we are required to depend on the ball of the foot and the heel in some techniques, but I find my foot will cramp up and I am unable to perform properly. It can be quite uncomfortable. My doctor (who, by the way, has never actually looked at my foot, but prescribed anti-inflamatories which did nothing), says to go out and buy comfortable shoes. That didnt work. If I just had a name for this, I can work with it. Has anyone experienced anything like this and what did you do about it? Thank you for your help. (I am Canadian and I already know I should get more out of my doctor with our wonderful health care system, but that is not reality. My question is about my foot pain. Thanks!)
Pain in the ball of my foot, by big toe? I've been having foot pain for a couple of months now, it doesn't hurt every day, but it does hurt at least 3 days out of the week. I haven't hurt my foot in any kind of way, so i don't understand why it would hurt like this. My big toe is swollen now and when i walk i notice my foot turns inward, the pain in the ball of my foot really does hurt but not my big toe. Could someone help me please?
Every winter I have foot pain? what is this problem? I never have this problem in the summer. In the winter, when I start wearing boots, and my feet sweat for a few days (even though they still feel cold), I get pains in the ball of my feet. Sometimes this is accompanied by an itching, but frequently not (which made me think it might be contact dermatitis from socks/detergent allergy at first) but there are no rashes or marks on my feet. They are just cold and clammy. My feet don't sweat in the summer when I am wearing socks and sneakers or socks in regular dress shoes. I don't know what to think, but sometimes the pain hurts to walk when I put weight on it, so I can't ignore it. I do have flat feet, but the rest of the year it doesn't hurt, so I think it is winter-related. It seems to happen every year. Any ideas?
Foot pain on ball of left foot? So I have flat feet and I run, but for the past few weeks I been hurting on the ball of my left foot. I'm not really sure when it happened, but should I rest for awhile or are these things common?
Foot pain, so worried!? I have a problem with the ball of my foot on the left side. I am a healthy 24 yr old woman with no conditions. I have been getting sharp pain in the ball of my left foot, near the top right of the joint, sometimes its dull ache then sometimes its like needles or its on fire! I have examined the area and there is no swelling or bumps. Thinking back the first time I had it I was wearing very high heels but that was years ago and it went after a few months, then it came back a few months ago, I havent been weariung any heels since and its still painfull! My job: I do not have to stand for long periods of time, I do not have any foot problems like corns, veruccas or even squashed toes!!
Foot Pain While Working Out (Fallen Arches)? i get these pains all over my feet, especially under the ball of my foot whenever im working out. i do the insanity workouts and even 2 minutes into the warmup i could feel my arches cramp up even when i try my hardest to land softly. the outer sides of my foot and my pinky toe start to cramp up as well. at first i thought that my shoes were causing it, i used to wear these really cheap running shoes that were a size too big. i just bought a pair of k-swiss tubes run 100 which are acclaimed cross training sneakers, but my feet are still under a lot of pain. i just had the worst workout of my life right now because of it. when i try working out barefoot surprisingly the foot pain gets cut by A LOT! but i dont want to continue working out barefoot especially doing the insanity workouts which are very high impact. so what should i do? i tried taping them once but sadly that didnt work. btw im 30 lbs overweight so could that be it? i have already lost 30 lbs and the foot issues didnt improve though. are there any stretches that i could do? thanks
Pain in ball of foot? Ive had it for about a month now and it wont go away. Its mostly a moderate pain ranging from the middle of my big toe to the entire ball and a tiny bit into the start of the tendon running down the arch. It doesn't hurt too bad, but will flare up when i longboard or move a lot and makes it difficult to do things at times. What can I do to take down the pain?
Sudden pain in ball of foot? I woke up this morning with quite bad pain in the ball of my left foot, having gone to bed with no pain. It's really tender and sore to walk on. Anyone know what this could be?
I have severe foot pain on the ball of my foot near my third and fourth toes? Yesterday afternoon, the ball of my foot, near my the outside of my foot had severe pain. It hurts a lot to walk on. Now, the top of my foot is beginning to hurt as well. Could this be because of the shoes I wear? I wear a pair of flat sandals or flip flops nearly every day...or did I maybe bruise the bone by stepping on something? Help please! I'm freaking out because in less than a month I am going on a 30 day hiking trip in Africa and I have to be healthy! Thanks sosossososo much!!! ~Katie
Outside ball of foot itch/pain? On the out side ball of both of my feet, like the little knob area under my pinky toe, it feels bruised and hurts when I walk. It also itches bad but it feels like the itch is inside or something. I did do a lot of walking yesterday but I know I've felt like this before. I've had the similar itching in my thumb and index fingers and ended up digging through the skin until it bled. What is wrong with my feet?
Ball of foot pain BAD? I ran 3 miles yesterday but I didn't wear my running shoes and now the bottom of my foot is swollen and I can't put any weight on it and it hurts to bend my big toe a lot. Thanks.
How to stop pain in foot after wearing high heels? (NOT in ball of foot)? Over a month ago I was wearing my heels and later my foot started hurting. It's in the middle of my foot (the big bone in the middle of your foot, you can feel it on the top of your foot). I thought it would stop hurting but it still hurts. Has this happened to anyone else, and how should I fix it? Thanks! Poo, how does eating carrots help? Thanks!
What type of insoles for heel and ball of foot pain? I started a new job in a motor manufacturing company and im working 12 hour shifts and im on my feet for at least 11 of those hours . I am experiencing severe foot pain in the balls of my feet and the heel of my foot . The pain is that severe that i cant concentrate and im making stupid mistakes and as the days go on im getting slower and slower and if things continue i can see me losing this job , The pain stays for at least 6 hours after my shifts even though im off my feet altogether. Im hoping that there are some sort of insoles that i could put into my work boots to stop this happening or offer some relief .and dont know which ones would take pressure off those parts of my feet . Any sensible advice greatly appreciated
Is Alkaline water to contribute to joint pain and inflammation? I have been drinking alkaline water on and off for several months. I have been having terrible ball of foot pain and knee pain and more recently other joint pain- elbow, wrist. My friend suggested that it could be due to the water. I drink the 9.5 when I have it. Sometimes I drink regular bottle water and regular ice cubes as well so I really didn't think it was to attribute to my pain. Just wondered what anyone else thought about all my pains.
Ways to help eliminate foot pain while wearing heels? I have a pair of heels (about 3 inches high) that if I wear all night will start hurting the balls of my foot. I was wondering if getting Dr. Scholls gel inserts might help? What kind of insert would help best for this problem? Would a cheaper brand would work as well?
Severe, stiff, sore pain in the ball of my foot? In the ball of my foot, where the big toe is joined, i am having alot of pain. it has been progressively worse going on for about 4 days now, everyday getting more and more sore. i begin to think its getting better, only to realize i have been altering the way i walk on it to avoid the pain. as soon as i apply regular standing pressure, its extremely painful and i am not able to do so. I have read a little bit about Gout, but am still unsure if that is the problem. My boyfriend suggested it might be the shoes ive been wearing (although i have had them for months now, and never before had a problem), so i switched to a different old faithful pair, and am still having the same problems. i am not able to pull the toe backwards as far as the other one on my other foot without great pain. it almost has a stiff, sore feeling. i am not overweight at all and i dont eat an excessive amount of meats, so that is why i am doubtful that it is high uric acid possibly causing Gout. On my other foot about a week ago i had a very similar pain, but alot less painful in my heel. after about a week, it went away and feels fine now. This new painful, sore, stiff feeling on my other foot, is much more painful and much more severe and is affecting my walking. If you know what this could be, please help. thank you By the way, I dont stand up for long periods of time, and i also never wear high heels.
Ball of foot pain, can anyone help please? For about 2 months now, i have had horrible pain on the ball of my foot, right under my 3rd and 4th toes. The pad is all swollen and really hurts to walk. My dr has x-rayed it and doesnt see anything. All he recommends is staying off the foot (thanks doc). last night i was at work at a restraunt and when i went to move i felt something roll over in that spot and since then the swelling has gotten to the point where my toes dont even touch the ground when i walk. its killing me, any ideas?!?
The best remedy to pain in the ball of the foot from athletics.? Basically like the question says, I have pain in the ball of my foot on my right foot only. Some of this pain started during football season, but it was in more places as well. Now since football is over and I'm in my all year round track flow, every spot's gotten better, except for one. When I say the "ball of my foot" it's really not the whole piece, just the two toes to the right of the big toe...the pain extends from the tips to the mid-sections of the toes. For walking and training its fine really. But when it comes to track meets and sprinting the pain becomes more than just annoying, I can always just "suck it up and walk it off." But that doesn't give me less of a disadvantage in a race, please offer me any advice, even if its just to "see a doctor" or whatever. Thanks.
Trying to figure out why I have ball of foot pain? Over the last few months I have a severe pain in the ball of my foot and second toe. I don't have any deformities and my toes are not bent like hammer toe. They hurt all the time specially when walking. I have gel inserts in my shoes but they don't seem to help much. The pain is constant no matter what time of day, day or rest, shoes or barefoot. It's like a sharp stabbing or stinging pain and it is difficult and painful to bend the second toe. No bruising but the ball of my feet swell overnight. My second toe is swollen and hard between the first and second joints. Any one know what this could be? or how to fix it? The pain is killing me and I don't have insurance for a foot specialist.
I am a 35 year old woman with sudden foot pain. Can I have gout? I had a sudden onset of pain in my left foot. It is located on the bottom of my foot towards the right side just under the balls of my feet. I have not injured it or worn high heels all day. This is a throbbing pain that hurts the most with bearing weight. It also feels like a knot or swollen area as I step down onto it. My Dad has gout but i've read it affects mostly men. Can I have it? Help!

Could a sprained small toe cause pain in ball of foot? A few weeks ago I seemed to keep twisting my middle toe up. I think ti was a combination of the shoes I was wearing and how i was walking. Now I have a great tenderness in the ball of my foot when I walk and exert pressure on it. Has anyone had experience with this? Are the two related? Thanks.
