What causes foot pain in the heal when bending down or pulling the toes back? I have a pain in the back of my heal when I stetch out my Achilles tendon, however the pain is not the achilles. It generates from the right side of my left foot approximately halfwayy between the ankle bone and the bottom of the foot slighty off centered from the achilles. It usually hurts when I bend my foot. The pain is a sharp sting that feels like something is tearing. The pain doesn't last long when it occurs. It feels like whatever is generating the pain is not deep inside the foot.
What causes foot pain and numbness? For the last two weeks I have been experiencing a lot of foot pain in both of my feet. It is almost like my feet are on fire. Then randomly I will get numbness in my toes for several hours and then it will go away and come back again. My feet ache and hurt whenever touched. What could be wrong?
Ankle surgery in cast, blood rush to foot causing pain, advice? My boyfriend had ankle surgery a little over a week ago and is now in a cast. He had a metal plate and 6 screws put in. He keeps his leg elevated above his heart when he sleeps, but elevated level with his waist when he sits. When he stands, the blood rushes to his feet causing them to swell and causes a lot of pain. Are there any tips that will help alleviate or reduce this? How long will this continue to happen? Any advice anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated!
What causes pain in my foot and ankles? I am a type 2 diabetic and for the last 6 years, on occasion, my feet/ankles will hurt so bad that they feel like they are broke, nearly impossible to walk. What could be the cause of this? Thank you.
Can having heel spur cause other foot pain, besides the heel? Have had two cortizone injections, that worked ok. Now I have just a little heel pain, however, the top of my foot and the arches of my foot are very painful. Especially 1st thing in the morning. And if I spend too much time on my feet, like housecleaning, etc. my foot kills me even worse for several days. Or even running around the yard with the dog, if it twists funny causes severe pain. Help this is really upsetting my life.
Can foot pain cause pain in the eye? I skate, and today i hurt the palm of my right foot by landing on the side of my skateboard. the palm of my right foot hurt alot, but the pain was barely noticable after 3 hours. and now all of a suddan my right eye is hurting. could this relate in any way? please show me site.
What causes chronic foot pain, besides injuries? For the past year my husband has been getting these weird foot pains that will go away in a few days to a week. I'm getting scared now because he has been limping around for days now. Then today was even worse...when he was getting up to go to work, he stood up and the pain was so unbearable that he had to crawl to the phone to call in. There has to be something wrong because it happens every once in awhile, and it just seems to be getting worse. He has gone to two doctors for the previous times that it happened. One told him it might be gout so they tested-negative. One told him it was tendonitis, but he had no proof. I was just wondering if you, family or friend has experienced this. Do you think that there is some kind of underlying problem? A disease? I'm getting scared now. Also, he has had no recent injuries to his foot. He did not step on it wrong or anything like that. Evertime it hurts, he wakes up like that.
what causes pain in the top of the foot? it looks fine, but it hurts really bad. it seems to hurt the same amount whether i'm walking or sitting. what could be wrong? and how long should i wait before going to the doctor?
What is causing pain along the TOP of my foot? I have pain up the top of my foot, from ankle area down to the toes. My shoes are not too tight and my arch seems OK, any ideas what could be causing this? Most site concentrate on the bottom of the foot pain.
Healed broken big toe - now causing pain across foot. Is this supposed to happen? I broke my big toe (spiderweb fracture) seven weeks ago, and have been walking on it (properly, no crutches) for a week. (It healed in the usual 6 weeks). However I keep getting pain across my foot, now and again the big toe cramps, but the pain relates to my ankle and the area across the middle of the foot. Any suggestions?
what causes pain in the outside edge of my left foot? For the last few months I have this burning pain in the outside edge of my left foot, a little behind halfway of the length, right on that bone that I can feel. I found a web site (healthline dot com) with about 16 different foot pain possibilities, and none of them fit. I didn’t physically hurt it. It hurts so bad it almost feels like it’s burning, and its getting real hard to walk. You can’t see anything from the outside, like red, or black & blue, or lumps. I also have, within the past 2 years, pain in the left side of my right knee, and in my right forearm. The forearm pain isn’t there until I lift something, the more it weighs, the more pain I get. The knee pain is just there, and I hardly notice it anymore. I’m 55 years old, and of coarse, my friends tell me, your simply getting old. I’m a very strong man, maybe 30 lbs overweight. Money IS an object; I haven’t been to a doctor in over 10 years, maybe 15, so generally I’m in ok condition, other than these pains I described. I check my blood pressure on a self-checker, and it varies between 140/160 over 80/100 and heartbeat of 48-60, usually in the low 50’s. I do realize it’s a little high. I take up to 2 allergy pills from Wallgreens called “Wall Dry” but the box says don’t take more than 6 per 24 hours, so I’m way below that. I suspect a pinched nerve in my back, for the knee and arm pain, but the side of my foot? Maybe I have to start taking aspirin everyday like a lot of older people do, I haven’t tried that yet, I was hoping the pain would go away. Any thoughts? Thank you for reading this.
causes of foot pain? I have been having terrible foot pain. It seems to be happening when I get up from sitting a long period of time, or when I get up in the morning. I find it very difficult to walk for a few minutes and then the pain goes away. What could be causing this?
Can an over sized running shoe be the cause of foot pain? I went to Foot Locker to get some Air Force Ones and decided to measure what size I am, I was an 11, but I already bought a size 12 running shoe! I tried an 11 sized shoe in Academy and it was quite tight, like the sides were, lol. I think I got a wide foot that's why. P: And I got foot pain, could it be because of that? Thanks! :D PS: It fits very well, but the only thing is that there is still some area left between my big toe and the top of the shoe.
Foot sweating causes burning foot pain while walking? My feet burn if I walk more than about 20 minutes. I have had this foot problem for several years and it bothers me immensley, I have flat feet and went to a podiatrist and he gave me orthotics - no help at all. Weird thing, I can walk forever with sandels, all over New York City for days no problem. After thinking about every symptom, the only thing I can isolate is that with shoes, my feet start sweating instantly and socks become very wet and damp, this is the only thing I can think of that would be the reason my feet burn when walking with shoes. If I wear socks on top of each other for more absorption it seems to ease the pain. I am wandering if anyone knows what this is, also I dont wear shoes often so if I started weraing them all the time maybe eventually feet would stop sweating?
What could be causing my foot pain, hand pain, and dizzy spells? Since May 2009 I have been suffering with extreme heel pain in my right foot which seems to originate from the backside of my leg. Today, a new problem has cropped up in the form of pain in my right hand (thumb, joint of my right thumb, and index finger). Also, for the last 2 weeks I have been experiencing intermittent dizzy spells, where the world jumps up and down and I feel like I'm going to loose consciousness. What could be causing all of this? I would appreciate input.
what is causing foot pain? I have recently found that I have a cyst of some sort on my facet joint near the region of my L4 -L5 or possibly L5-S1. I have only minor leg pain in my lower legs...but my feet hurt so bad.. could this be the source of my pain
What could be causing pain on outside of my right foot? About 3 years ago I sprained my ankle really bad in basketball when I went up for a rebound and landed on someones foot. It was a bad sprain and caused pain through my whole foot. I didn't go to the doctor and let it heal on its own while still playing. Ever since then, the outside of my foot cracks with little to no pain. But for the past few days, that part of my foot has been throbbing and there's been some swelling. Anyone know what it could be?
Can drinking soda cause pain in joints especially on foot? I have been having pain in my left foot and joints especially shoulder and elbow for months and I was drinking sodas (diet Dr. Pepper 7 glasses a day). I thought it was an early onset of gout, so I stopped to eat meat and the pain was still there. 2 months ago I came accross this article about how bad sodas were and I stopped dringing them and guess what...I have no more pain in my foot or joints! How could you explain this? Can anybody link sodas to painful joints? Thanx!
How should i treat my pinched nerve causing foot pain? Okay, so I broke my pelvis about 4 weeks ago in an accident, and at first i didn't know (maybe because of the painkillers) but now I have both chronic and acute pain in my foot (only left foot) It's the typical burning feeling, pins and needles pain, acute pain occurs when i change position(i.e get up, sit up, etc etc) despite my left leg being colder than my right leg by a noticeable amount, 2 doctors i've visited ruled it out as pinched nerve as there are nerves running to the foot where my pelvis fracture is. The question now is, how should i treat this? ice my back by pelvis area? or my foot area? i heard some people say use warm water? thanks a lot in advance o sorry, i meant as in like uhh they ruled out poor blood circulation and told me it was pinched nerve, it was a car accident side impact, i haven't asked specifically about spine damage but my back doesn't hurt at all, and i believe i had a checkup done on that as well. the accident was so bad (i was nearly unconcious) i was checked for pretty much everything, xray everywhere, internal bleeding, i was in that tube machine for a long time, neck, brain damage .. etc etc etc
What causes ankle and foot pain? these couple of weeks --when I finish watching a movie, or finish my lunch or dinner, my ankle and foot pains when I start to walk , the pain will be gone after a few painful steps anybody knows what is it and any prevention or remedy?
Foot pain from an outburst of anger? Is it possible? I got extremely angry today at a friend and I ended up getting in a huge fight with him. No one was hurt at all, but the yelling was out of control and I don't remember ever being more angry. I was yelling so loud my throat hurts, I'm just trying to emphasize how angry I was. About an hour after the incident I started getting a very strong pain in my left foot. Im actually limping, how could anger have cause foot pain, and what should I do to stop it, it keep getting worse.I did not hit my foot anywhere or in any way at all. Thank you in advance.
Possible causes of foot pain? I get regular pedicures and my feet are always smooth and well taken care of. About three months ago, I noticed the sides of both my feet on the edges below my pinky toe were beginning to become rough and felt sort of callused. I bought some corn remover pads that were medicated and it all became worse. My feet became much more tender for about two or three weeks and now my skin is even rougher and thicker and very painful after a couple hours on my feet. Has anyone experienced this and found something that helps? I've been wearing Nike Shox for the past 2 years, I didn't think it could be my shoes since I've never had the problem. Any suggestions??
What is causing my foot pain from running? A couple days ago I ran 5 miles. Since then, my right foot has been in pain every time I take a step on it. I've been looking up on what it could be, and can't figure it out. I don't think it's Plantar Fasciitis because there isn't pain when I apply pressure to the heel. The pain seems to be right in the middle of my foot, and only when I walk on it. When I walk on only the heel or ball of the foot, there is a lot less pain (of course, it looks silly doing this). So it's only when I shift my weight from the back of the foot to the front, going over the middle. I have a triathlon in a couple weeks so I want to figure out what this is a.s.a.p. and fix it quickly. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
What are causes of intense foot pain? Two weeks ago, I injured my foot. After a week of intense pain, I went to the doctor and she said it was just the ligament and to take Tyenol and rest my foot. A week later and my foot hurts worse than ever. On top of my foot, maybe half an inch below my toes, is very sensitive to touch. My toes burn and the pain runs up into my calf and knee. My foot has severe pulsating pain, which really hurts! It almost feels like a muscle spasm every once in awhile. Just merely breathing in causes my foot to hurt. My toes hurt and everything burns. If I touch this spot below my toes, the pain intensifies. That spot must be the source of my problems. Well, I can barely walk and I don't want to go and bother the doctor again. I have researched conditions of the foot and none of the ones I have come across sound like what I'm feeling. I have iced it, elevated it, wrapped it, and taken multiple pain killers. Any ideas? Thanks!
What is causing my foot pain? I have had a CAT scan and an X-ray of my left foot because of pain i am having. Both of these tests were clean. Could it be a nerve problem? Any other ideas?
Can a knee injury cause pain in the foot? I may have tore my meniscus, im being scheduled for a MRI soon. Im sitting on my couch with my bad knee kinda straight and my knee down got stiff and hot and the top of my foot was hurting, than it turned cold and now it feels fine. what was that all about??comments ??

Background: 78 yo, active, Lt leg 1/2 inch shorter. A Lt shoe lift is no help re the rise. Rt med knee cartilage removed 1974. Knee lacks 5 degrees of full extension since then. Onset Rt knee pain 1994. Foot rise onset 1990. Any ideas of cause of the rise? It causes foot pain
What causes the sharp pain in my foot at random times? Alright...sometimes in my foot, a random sharp pain comes up. My feet gets all hard, and then I see a vein or something pop out around the edge of my feet. My front toe moves a bit forward while the other toes move behind and it's very hard to move my toes and when I do move it, huge intense waves of pain comes...However this pain leave fairly quick within one minute...Help me please... what is causing my foot pain? I have been feeling a sharp pain in the outer arch of my right foot for the past week. It really hurts when i wear flip flops and/or if I put a lot of pressure on it. I didn't fall or strain it in any way. Does anyone know what's causing this?
What would cause pain in the sole of my foot, but only when I put weight on it? I have not injured my foot in any way, but it hurts everytime I step down. It is just under the heel. It has been going on for a while and is now getting worse. The pain goes away slightly as I continue to walk, but if I sit down for a few minutes it gets just as bad again when I start walking. Any idea would be appreciated. I've already seen a doctor, she doesn't have a clue what the cause is. Thanks. It's not a tendon, ligament or muscle injury. It's only on the bottom of my heel.
What causes the pain in feet when diabetes are also present? My sister is 58, and she has been diagnosed with having diabetes for several years. She takes her insulin injections every day as prescribed. She is having extreme pain in her feet every day, she takes percocept but it has gotten to where that does not even help. The physicians just keep telling her its a side effect of having diabetes. Can anyone tell me if you have ever heard of having such and what can be done about it . There is no sense in anyone being in so much pain.....Thank You ahead of time....
What to do if I have pain in the arch of my foot? A little over a week ago, the arch of my left foot has started to ache and cause pain when I walk, run, or stand for long periods of time. I have never felt this sensation before; could it be a "fallen arch". I have just wrapped up a track season so could that have something to do with it? I'm pretty sure the type of shoes I wear don't have anything to do with it. Any suggestions on what it is and what I can do about it?
Can bindings be the cause of foot pain? So when im boarding, i occasionally get cramps and pain on the outside arches of my feet. The only way to relieve this is to stop, unstrap and wait and if its really bad, loosen boots and flex my foot. But it comes back almost immediately once i start going again. I have a pair of 32 lashed boots size 9. Could my Burton freestyle's be causing this problem in any way? If you have any other ideas as to why this is happening and any solutions, i would love to hear them. thanks
What could be the cause of this knee pain? My fiance has had severe knee pain for a while now we went to the doctor and he had an MRI done and it showed what the orthopedic said was a mass or legion he said that he may have Fibrous Cortical Defect which does not cause pain! His foot is swelling now and he has been off his leg and the pain does not stop. Has anyone had this problem? or should he get a biopsy?
What can cause pain on the outside edge of the foot? It started when I was walking a long distance in flip flops. The outside edge of my right foot began to hurt when walking and standing flat. It is a sharp pain that is located right before my heel begins. I'm worried that it could possibly be a fallen arch or something. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Ball of foot causing severe pain and discomfort? I play indoor soccer and a few weeks ago I noticed a red mark on the ball of my left foot after my game, it was a little sore and within a week the red mark turned into a scab and fell off and my foot was back to normal. Now, two weeks later, the same foot is sore again and I can seewhere the red mark used to be as it is a lighter color than the rest of my skin and when I push on it with my finger it causes an extreme pinching pain, does anyone know what this could be. I also get some pain when i walk on it or apply to much pressure in my steps.
Not what is causing foot pain and what to do.? I have pain in the distal side of my foot it's not super painful but more like a dull ache when I move it or walk on it. It started yesterday when I stepped down while my foot had been leaning on the outside. There is no bruising or swelling just tenderness. I don't know what happened when I did this. So if you have any ideas, thanks!
What does excessive foot pronation effect? My feet have always over pronated a little, and lately more so. My feet sometimes go numb, my achilles/calf cramps up, then a little pain in the knees and hips. It seems to go away with shoe inserts that raise my arch. This sound familiar to anyone? Can't believe that one area of my foot causes pain elsewhere.
What could be the cause of my foot pain!? I dont remember damaging it in any way but the ball of my right foot is quite painful, its fine to touch, but when i walk, i have to walk on the side or the back of my foot. Its been going on for over a week now, there is no visible swelling or bruising so i have no idea what could be causing this or what brought it on. Any clues?
What is causing my foot pain in the morning? Every morning I climb out of bed to a bad pain in the bottom of my left foot. This pain gradually decreases after about 4 hours and is gone until the next morning. This started near the ending of August this year. A week before all this I had felt something sting me in that foot but that area was closer to my toes while the pain is closer to my heel so I don't know if that's it.
What is causing my foot pain? I have had a CAT scan and an X-ray of my left foot because of pain i am having. Both of these tests were clean. Could it be a nerve problem? Any other ideas?
What Is Causing Foot Pain? For the past two months or so, I have developed pain on the right side of my left foot, just above the heel. There isn't generally pain when I'm off my feet, but the moment I start to walk, I feel it, and walking seems to cause the pain to radiate through the right side of my foot. It's not necessarily unbearable pain, but it can get pretty painful and tough to walk, to the point where I'm only using one side of my foot to walk. I'm not necessarily athletic, though I do walk a lot. In fact, there are some days when, after working a lot of hours, I'll come home and find the heel of my foot enlarged with a white color. So there's been some strange things going on with the foot. Does anyone know what's causing this? Thanks!
What causes dull pain in foot? I have a dull pain on the top of my foot, kinda where the crease is when lifting your foot up. It's a constant pain and the only time I can't feel it is when I'm walking. Any clue to what it could be?
Can an over sized running shoe be the cause of foot pain? I went to Foot Locker to get some Air Force Ones and decided to measure what size I am, I was an 11, but I already bought a size 12 running shoe! I tried an 11 sized shoe in Academy and it was quite tight, like the sides were, lol. I think I got a wide foot that's why. P: And I got foot pain, could it be because of that? Thanks! :D
Throbbing pain throughout foot, causes and cures? I've had a strange sensation on the bottom of my foot for a few days now, kind of like a throbbing inner pain that comes and goes. It seems to move around between the heel, arch, and sole of my foot (or any combination at the same time), and sometimes it gets so strong I feel it up my lower leg and knee. It hurts more when I'm resting and not moving around, the position my legs/feet are in doesn't seem to matter. It doesn't always hurt when I'm moving/walking, but it sometimes feels like a really strong cramping sensation. I can move my foot and touch it/bend it without any pain. It doesn't seem to have any correlation to how much I stand/sit or exercise. Painkillers, stretching, and soaking it aren't helping. Does anyone know what I can do to get rid of the pain or what might be causing it?
What's causing my foot pain during exercise, and how can I prevent it? For about five or six years now, I've experienced extreme exhaustion and pain on the outside of my right foot, in particular during high-impact exercise. I don't live a particularly inactive lifestyle, and I love doing cardio, so this is kind of becoming more serious. I have relatively high arches and I've been using Z-CoiL shoes for the past couple of years to try and ease the pain. It's helped everywhere else, but the outside arch of my right foot just won't be satisfied. It's gotten to the point now where elliptical machines cause pain and I can't finish my aerobics classes because it's just too much to bear now. Even just walking around has the potential to be a nightmare. I have an appointment with my podiatrist, but she's unable to see me for a couple of months. Is there anything I can do in the meantime? I don't want to be a couch potato. :( I've considered breaking out my whole athletics first aid kit and wrapping the hell out of that foot, but will that actually accomplish anything, or will it make it worse?
Symes Prothesis for walking with paralyzed foot causes a LOT of pain---Do they ALWAYS cause PAIN (as told)? The persons who fitted my friend's Symes 'boot' (as she calls it) told her that ALL of them cause a lot of pain. Is this true? She spoke to someone at a hospital about remolding it for her, and they said they would mold it for her higher arch (or whatever her foot shape needs), but that they were afraid that they might ruin it in the process, so wouldn't try. This lady REALLY LIKEs to walk, *except for the pain from wearing her Symes prosthesis*. She had an aneurysm (which caused about 95% {my estimate] paralysis on one side of her body), and REALLY needs to exercise regularly! She prefers swimming, but has no access to a pool, which makes her being able to walk regularly even more important! Any realistic & helpful information about what she might be able to do about this problem, will be *greatly* appreciated! She lives on SSI alone, so hasn't enough money to risk ruining her prosthesis, but does anyone know who / what type of service provider might be willing to work on it for her, whose work is insured? (She lives in Montrose, CO if that helps.) Or, could she take out some kind of insurance on it herself, before having it worked on, & for the purpose of providing for a replacement if that should become necessary? Shouldn't the device simply hold her toes up, withOUT pain? She says that she can walk a lot longer while wearing it (than not), but it is so painful that she cannot enjoy it. Thank You for useful information, and we will read any personal experiences shared as well. She is not an amputee---She has her foot. It is just paralyzed & numb, so that she needs to wear something that will hold her toes up while she walks. This 'thing' she wears in her shoe, between her foot & the shoe. She didn't remember the name of it, so I tried to look it up & found this name. When I asked if this was it, she said 'yes', but now I wonder whether it really is the right name for what she has.

Whats causing the pain in my foot? I am an active 17 year old. I swim, run, fence and do high jump. Recently whilst high jumping upon take off I get a sharp pain at the bottom of my foot. It will then hurt for about 5 minutes and then be fine again - but now I am getting general ankle and foot pain after the first pain has subsided. Long periods of rest aren't really an option for me as I have a big championships coming up, any ideas as to whats causing it/treatment?
Do Calluses on the bottom of your foot cause pain? i've had some thing under the ball of my foot adjacent with the big toe. and for about 3-4 weeks or so i've just dealt with it and it messed up foot print when i walk. and i google up corn/callus/plantarwart blah blah eveyrthing diabeites/infection. i tried to figure it out myself. It seemed most likely a plantar wart. So i got the sacrylic acid and all, so i been putting on the acid. And i get impatient with things so i would just start picking at it and eveutnally a big white chunk of skin layering over the whole thing would peel off and i even burned the damn thing with a lighter cuz it was pissing me off. Of course it would start heating up n wuld cause pain n i would pussy out from going any further. Anyways i went to the doctor today cuz nothing was changing with the damn thing. And he shaved away at it and it HURT so bad. he would squeeze it like a zit and it hurt so freaking bad. And he was intrigued because if it was callus it wouldn't hurt. he was amazing and how much pain it caused me. So he thought maybe there is something int here. like a splinter or glass. So he kept shaving at it and he stopped and said by there i shoulda hit something, so there was no splinter. So his last conclusion was it doesnt look like a plantar wart and its not a callus cuz the pain. So it must be a infection. So im relived its not HPV on my foot. PHEW. but now i got a damn infection? forreal... i dun even look bad. And he wants me to take pain killers +antibiotics. he's not a foot doctor and my foot doctor appointment is in like 5 days but after re googling and stuff anda fter what the doctor said. I still think this just might be a Foot Callus. Now i gotta know if whether a Foot callus causes pain or not. Cuz when u squeeze mine like its a zit, it fucing hurts. But i can walk on it, now that the doc shaved it, it hurts more when i walk, but before it was fine when i had shoes on. Barefeet on wood at home was uncomfortable. Thanks guys!
Potential causes of pain in left foot? Not really sure what've i done, not over extended myself physically recently. Ive had a bit of pain in it for a few days, but got up this morning and it was really painful, the pain has subsided now though. - i ran on it last night between 2 pubs, so it's nothing too serious. If i squeeze my foot, there is no pain, i can also drive with it. However, walking is very painful. it's the middle of the foot area basically over the width and across to the top thank you chris
What is the Cause of This Foot Pain? A year ago I tore a ligament in my ankle, wearing a cast for four months. Between then and now, I have been twisting my ankle and having pain in it. But lately, when I stretch my leg out, the heel and ankle part of my foot hurt horridly, but only when outstretched resting on something. It hurts to sit, sleep, anything, but never when standing on it. Any ideas on the problem and should I see a doctor? Thanks! Cross our ligament, but I twisted my ankle and tore something around there. I forgot what, sorry. :L 1.) No pain. 2.) Around the heel bone. 3.) Low arches. 4.) Relatively the same. 5.) Flip flops lately, occasional converse. Heels on Thursday. 6.) Yes. Redness on the back of my foot and minor swelling. 7.) Nope. *1.) There is pain if I outstretch my leg and point my foot directly up. The whole heel hurts and you know when you have a bruise and you poke it? Like that but much worse on the inside of my foot. In case that mattered.
What is causing my foot pain? This is actually a question for my friend. He's been having some major problems with his feet and other places on his body, but specifically in his feet. He will have lots of pain to the point where he is unable to walk and he also has numbing and he's also had problems with his hands having numbing too. He thinks it may be gout. Can anyone give me information on what gout feels like or an idea of what may be causing his pain? Thank you so much!
Is it possible for worn shoes to cause foot pain? I've been jogging in Nike shoes for 7 months and it's getting worn out now. The insoles were complete worn so I replaced em with new ones. But before I did that I suddenly started feeling pain with my arch in my left foot for the first time in 3 years of doing trail running. So could the sudden pain be from using worn out shoes?
My ankle brace causes severe foot pain? So I've sprained both ankles pretty bad. I played soccer all my life, and now I'm doing rugby. My ankle braces cause sever foot pain on the bottom of my foot, but if I loosen them, I can easily roll my ankle, and I have to play with them. Is there any way to adjust this with med tape or something to take off that pressure and alleviate the pain??
old injury ankle/foot causing pain? ok so about 2009 & 2010 i sprained my ankle twice and now i have pain in my leg close to my ankle that kind of shoots up into my knee and i am sitting here as we speak i feel some numbness and pain in my foot and ankle..i don't know if that's cause the damage muscle in my ankle or what the only way i ease the pain is putting my leg in the bar stool chair i am sitting at (24 hours ago) ok now i moved on the pass 24 hours to wearing my cam-walker which i worn when i sprained my ankle 2009 - 6 weeks the first time around then in 2010- second time around i worn it for about 9 weeks or more because the sprain was 10 times worse then the first time i tore the muscle and damage the muscle and now in 2011 it is acting up like the first time where i had pain just in my leg and knee and some mild discomfort in the foot ..any ideas would be great i was 23yrs old when the injury first happened and now i am 25yrs old when i went to the doctor the last time i remember he saying that the muscle could be a grade 2 or 3 sprain and i should recover fully in 6 to 8 weeks in feb 2010 and now its 2011 and i am having lot of ankle pain some nights it feels like someone or something is ripping apart in my leg! i need ideas! i am wondering if surgery is needed to fix the problem or what? the muscles are loose and floppy he explained it after posting this and wearing my cam-walker for 3 hours until i took a shower it got better then it started back up today so i don't know if i should see my ankle doctor again or what
What is causing pain on top of my foot? I have been having pain on the top of my right foot for over two weeks now. The pain causes me to limp and hurts when I put pressure on it. I work a lot, sometimes 50 hours a week and it doesn't seem to be getting better. I am on my feet all night at work. It is more of a sharp pain. Sometimes the pain lessens as I walk on it for a while but is always there. I don't recall doing anything to pinpoint HOW I did it. The pain is on the top of my right foot on the left side of the foot. What could it be?

Causes of foot pain?!?!?!? I've been experiencing pain in the bottom of my foot, predominantly in the ball and arch, for a few weeks, and it has recently spread to my ankle. It hurts a lot when I walk, but not when I jog or run, but when I stop it hurts a lot more than walking. The pain varies from being a slight throbbing to excruciating. I think it might be the muscle but I'm not sure. I'm looking for some ideas of what it could be. I am going to go to the doctor soon if it continues, which I believe it will, but have put it of so far because if it is the muscle they cannt do anything but prescribe ibrofofen, which I'm allergic to, and I don't want to waste their time. Anyway, I would be eternally grateful for any ideas as to causes, and I hope that I have explained it well enough to give a brief description of the pain. Thank you in advance for any answers! ^_^

Podiatrist - Dx my foot pain!? SO, I've been trying to get in shape and doing a little walk/jog around the neighborhood a few night per week. Now I have developed this pain essentially on the ball of my lt foot. It is exquisitely touch tender, but on a very specific point. I would say this point is not ON the ball of my foot, but just on the big toe side of the ball of the foot. It causes pain to curl my toes, flex my toes, and of course to walk. If I prop my feet up on the coffee table, I essentially cannot flex my lt ankle towards me; or at least not in the same fashion as my right. Everyone is saying "bone" spur. I don't really know what that means. I thought "gout", but I've never really had any trouble with that, and no diet changes to speak of. I did have moderate pain the other night, when on my walk/run anyway, and now the pain is quite severe x2 days. Also, if it's important, then tender-to-touch point is very small. Essentially no pain just a few mm either side of this point. Any thoughts? Also, wifey wants me to go to my PCP. Not really sure what she would do and would love to save the co-pay. Thanks in advance!
What is on my foot causing pain and can I get rid of it? A couple of years ago I got a thorn in my foot and till this day it looks like its still in there but I know it's not. I think it's scar tissue because it hurts a lot when I scratch it or do anything to it but I am not certain what is really is... What is it and what can I do to get rid of it?
