Has anyone heard of "dumping syndrome" where food digests very fast and causes stomach pain and nausea? My husband was recently diagnosed with this and they called it Rapid Gastric Emptying or Dumping Syndrome. He has been having a lot of pain and the medication he's on hasn't helped. Just wasn't sure if anyone had heard of or has this and what treatments they got.

It usually starts out in my abdomen then spreads to my middle and lower back (around the kidneys). However, once the stomach pain is gone, the back pain still lingers. The symptoms range anywhere from 5 minutes to 5 hours and range in severity. The pain usually starts after I have eaten but not always. The stomach pain is general. No area in particular hurts-it's all over. And is not a burn, stabbing, or sharp. Rather it's an ache. I do not have insurance and will not until January. This pain in debilitating and seeing as I have a toddler, I cannot just sit down. ANY ideas are welcomed and appreciated. Gallbladder issues do run in my family (my mother and her mother had theirs removed). However, I looked up the symptoms and they don't match all of mine and vise verse.

Stomach, back, and chest pain ....? Last night I was having excruciating stomach pains, toward the top right side of my stomach. (My personal left, looking at me, right.) This also came with sharp chest pains in the upper right hand quadrant of my chest. (Again, my personal left, looking at me, right.) Once I got comofortable and relaxed, shifting from side to side, the pain came back. Now, what mainly hurts is my stomach. can anxiety cause stomach pain and indigestion? i am 22 years old, 4 months after i had my baby i started getting chest pain and feeling short of breath all the time (except when i wasnt thinking about it), my doctor did a full blood count sent me for an ecg and a chest x-ray all came back fine, i then started getting lower stomach pain leg and arm cramps as well as constant belching and acid reflux and pain in my back from the reflux, my gp sent me for an ultrasound where they found a slighty swollen kidney which causes me intermittent pain at the time they found the swollen kidney i found out i was pregnant only about 3 weeks, my gp and midwife said that a swollen kidney can be a pregnancy symptom. i have tried proton pump inhibitors and gaviscon but neither have worked for the acid reflux.back when i started getting these symptoms i went to the gp and a&e so many times each time i was told its anxiety, since finding out i was pregnant the lower pain had gone but now im getting upper stomach pain under the right breastbone and in the sides and back,along with neck pain and stiffness every day, i feel a pain going back to the gp again as they just dont seem bothered about the symptoms. even the follow scan that was meant to be repeated after 6 weeks isnt going to be until till november which will make it 11 weeks.has anyone had any experiance with this symptoms and anxiety or know if all these things can be down to anxiety? i would appreciate any advice.

Stomach pain for 3 days? I have had upper stomach pain for three days. It is a sharp stabbing pain that comes and goes. It lasts for only a few seconds. It seems to get aggrivated when I eat, and seems to hurt more when I am lying down (especially on my side). I do have "IBS", but have not had an episode in a LONG time. I am also not always "regular" with bowel movements. I have only "gone" a little bit over the past few days. I tried a suppositorie which barely worked. Too much caffeine the cause of stomach pain? So my stomach has been hurting really badly lately. It sounds stupid, but it almost feels like hunger... except it hurts like hell. A friend said it was because I needed caffeine (when i drink a lot and then don't have any), and that did work for a few times that this happened. lately however, it doesn't do anything to help. The feeling comes and goes, and sometimes is worse than others. I don't know if it even has to do with the caffeine, but that's the only thing I can think of. Anyone know what this is? What would cause stomach pain, back pain, and digestion problems? My husband thought he got food poisoning from a street food vendor 3 weeks ago and still feels horrible. He is complaining of stomach pain when he eats and even when he hasn't eaten, also body aches especially in his lower back around the kidney area. I've asked if it is on one side or the other, but he says it's all over. He looks horrible today and just wish he would call the doctor, but he's stubborn. What may be causing my daughter's stomach pain? She is 11. They decided to look at the possibility of an ulcer or reflux. The upper GI came back normal. Over the past year or so I have experienced a gradual inability to eat a meal due to feeling full and bloated after a few fork fulls' however since this Christmas I have not been able to manage even a few fork full of food..my normal food doesn't taste the same and at times I feel sick at the thought of some food if mentioned .For the past few weeks I have lived on a couple of biscuits ( which cause severe stomach bloating and pain as soon as it reaches my stomach) there are occasions when just the touch of my hand or the quilt on my bed can Kick the stomach pains off t .I have lost neally a stone since Christmas ( when the pain first began in 1999 I was 14 st 8 I am now 11st 10 ) I try to force a apple or a pear down just to please my wife although I do not feel hungry at all' I could quite easily not eat at all through the day because I always feel full and my stomach is always bloated . Sometimes my stool is marble of colours and at times mixed with a light brown slime. I do suffer from a genetic liver condition ( iron overload 3 years ago I had to attend hospital every week for a few months so a pint of blood could be taken( blood letting ) because my liver was saturated with Iron although I have just discovered I am now enemic . Can anyone give me any honest idea what could be causing the problems please
What causes my intense stomach pain? About a year ago, I started getting incredibly painful cramps about 3-4 hours after eating. The more food I eat, the longer I can go before pain sets in. Once I begin eating I start getting better, although it's a gradual process that takes about 2 hours. What I've found to relieve it quickly is the combination of eating and lying down on my stomach, which makes the pain go away within 20 minutes. If it helps, I'm an 18-year-old female with no other preexisting medical conditions and a completely irrational phobia of doctors.

What causes constant stomach pain and bowl movements after every meal? My boyfriend has constant stomach pains and right after every meal has to rush to the bathrooms and sits there for 10 to 20 minutes each time. What can be done to help stomach pain caused from ibuprofen use? My daughter has been using Ibuprofen and taking antibiotics for several days and now is in a lot of pain in her stomach from it. What is a good at home remedy for this sort of stomach pain. She does not have any signs of bleeding from ulcers and has already discontinued using the Ibuprofen. Possible stomach pain causes? I have been getting some quite severe stomach pains for the past month or so. I do have an appointment with my doctor on Monday but would like some input before then as to whether anyone else has experienced this and what it was. It most often occurs after eating. I feel a mix of heartburn and what I can best describe as a, "stomach spasm." I Feel like my stomach is contracting and causing a lot of pain. I also get gassy and very bloated and uncomfortable. I also get very dizzy, and nauseas quite frequently, to the point where I feel the room is actually spinning. I have cut gluten out of my diet as of Friday just to see if it would give me any relief. It has helped to get rid of the bloating and gassy feelings, however the pain does till occur. Any idea what this could be? Has anyone else had these symptoms? Could it be celiacs?

What causes stomach pain, slow digestion, elevated crp and interleukin-8 levels? I am a 35 year old female who has been suffering with chronic stomach pain, slow digestion, loss of appetite and general feeling of malaise. I am very active, 125lbs, eat clean and take care of myself. In the last week my interleukin-8 levels have risen to 171 and my high sensitivity CRP levels are also elevated. I'm losing my stamina and now I am starting to get really concerned. One doc says it's my gallbladder/liver. The other is doing further testing for cholesterol. My gallbladder ultrasound was normal, hida scan was normal, endoscopy showed back up of excess bile in the stomach, CT of abdomen was normal. I do have a past history of Melanoma. It was a level one in my arm 2 years ago and the margins were clear after a deep and wide excision. Where do i go from here? PetScan? Help please
what causes stomach pain? i'm a 19 year old male with no family history of stomach problems, so i've had a couple of stomach aches that tend to go away when i eat, and i notice very little light red blood at the end of wiping myself every now and then, i had a colonoscopy and i turned out fine and my doctor suggests i take alot of fiber and to check with him in 4 weeks, i still bleed but i havent been taking alot of fiber. my poop isn't hard but it's hard for it to come out sometimes. what could i possbily have? my only symptoms are stomach aches and bleeding, thats it! my poo does come out in pieces after i just let a long one out. thanks! :D
