I woke up with severe stomach pain accompanied by other symptoms. What can this be? I woke up last night with severe stomach pain accompanied by sweating, nausea, I was pale and I felt like I was going to faint. This is the first time this ever happened to me. FYI: I am a female Any answer will be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.
What can one do for severe stomach pain? My brother has been suffering for a couple months now with severe stomach pain, gas, acid, and nausea, accompanied sometimes with sore throat and sinus problems. He has been to more than one doctor, and they have done little to help him. He is taking prevacid and taking fiber supplements because they said he had Irritable Bowel Syndrome. He is losing weight rapidly. He cannot eat. Does anyone have a clue how he can be helped?
If I go to the hospital and have severe stomach pain, will they help me right away? I'm worried that if I go to the hospital and have severe stomach pain they may not help me, if it's really bad won't they help?? I have an inguinal hernia and if it strangulates I could be in severe pain. If it strangulates then I would only have a few hours to live, so I would need help right away if that happened.

What could causing severe stomach pain due to a PEG tube? I have had a PEG tube placed in my stomach for well over a year with no issues. Over the past week I have developed a severe pain that is similar to the pain I experienced when a surgeon pulled out an old tube and inserted a new tube. That pain only lasted 5 minutes. This pain feels like it is being pulled out but it has been constant (taking a deep breath, bending down, and coughing makes it 5 times worse). I went to the Emergency Room four days ago and had a CT. The on-call surgeon said that the tube was not dislogged or malfunctioning. He said he thought it was a wound (stoma) issue and referred me to a wound care nurse. The earliest appointment with her is Monday. I can't hold out that long - I don't want to go back to the ER and be brushed off again. I feel like no one believes me when I tell them the pain is just too much to bare. The surgeons office told me to go back to the ER if I can't hold out for the nurse on Monday. I don't know what to do.

What could cause SEVERE chronic stomach pain? A relative of mine has severe stomach pain (worse in the evening). He's been to the ER multiple times in '06 and already once in '07. He has to take pain meds and ambien CR just to make it through the night. he also has strange spikes in his temperature (typically VERY high) after taking a shower, even if the last 5 minutes of the shower was cold water only. pancreas has been checked along with thyroid, liver, and multiple other things. mayo clinic said there is nothing they can do. i've never heard of anybody having to go through life in this much pain. they have said it could be scar tissue. but isn't there something that can be done for this? or is he going to be in pain for the rest of his life? anybody else ever heard of this and maybe know what it could be? chromes and IBS have been ruled out too. thank you for your help! ;o) all the tests he's had run (including radioactive egg) have come back normal or inconclusive. he's not popping pills enough to become dependant. i apologise for not being clear enough about that. thank you. gall bladder was removed last year. if it were kidney stones he'd have pain and difficulty urinating and pain in his lower back. thank you though :o)

Severe stomach pain that lasts for hours - lactose intolerance or something worse? About three months ago, I started noticing stomach pains (mainly in the higher abdominal area) that would literally halt me in whatever I was doing. Laying down is impossible, only sitting up straight or standing is tolerable. I didn't know what was causing it, until I started remembering what I had previously eaten. I thought at first it might be coffee, but it was actually the creamer I was putting in it. Here are my recent episodes: -coffee creamer - stomach pain that lasted 30-40 minutes (late at night) -small glass of milk - stomach pain that lasted 2-3 hours (late at night) -yogurt smoothie - stomach pain that lasted 12 hours I haven't given up dairy yet because this problem seems to come and go - I never know when I'm going to react violently to a dairy product. For example, I had a yogurt smoothie two days ago for lunch and I felt nothing. Last night when I had one at midnight - within two hours I was in severe pain. I'm wondering if there's some kind of dairy threshold that I have been exceeding. I know it sounds obvious that I've having a problem with dairy, but I didn't know lactose intolerance hurt THIS much. The pain feels like I've pulled every muscle in my upper abdomen. Does anyone else have this problem? I'm only experiencing stomach pain; no diarrhea or vomiting. Thanks for any info!!! ***UPDATE*** I have been off of milk products now for three days. The stomach pain is finally down to a 1 (10 being the worst). I have started drinking lactose-free milk and am avoiding all of the old favorites such as yogurt, real butter, ice cream, 2% milk, milk chocolate. Apparently I'm going to be losing some weight too with this new lifestyle...so no complaints! I cannot go through that kind of stomach pain again. I hope this helps anyone else who might be experiencing the same thing :)
EXTREMELY Severe Stomach Pain? My father is experiencing some extremely severe stomach pain. He said it's like sharp bursts of pain that come frequently, and then dull slightly. He can't seem to have any bowel movements. Is this just constipation? I didn't know it could get this bad. Also, I'm not sure if this is related, but he is going into surgery to get his brain tumor removed tomorrow, so I don't see how it could be related, but any info will help I guess.

Can you help? Why do I have severe stomach and back pain about 30min. after eating ? I am afraid of eating as I have severe stomach and back pain after a meal. The pain stops about 2 hrs later with me going to the bathroom (mostly diarrhea). I had a blood test and everything seems fine other than the doubled eosinophil evel. This indicates a parasite but my doctor believes it is rather an infection. However, taking Metronidazole, Amoxicillin and Pepto Bismol for two weeks did not help. Any suggestions?
Stomach Issues- Severe Pain only on occassion? Every 2 months or so I get these severe stomach pains- I feel sharp pains above my belly button and it gets so severe that I can't walk n take repeated hot showers or lay on a heating pad to make it feel better and it lasts several hours (about 10 or more).I can tell when its comming on because my stomach starts to bloat, so I take gas pills and tylenol for the pain but it does nothing n the bloat stays. My friend has severe stomach pain what could this be? He has severe stomach pain every day and whether he eats or not, the pain is from his ribs to above his belly button. Severe stomach pain during my period after being fingered? About 2 weeks after being fingered for the first time, I got my period and had EXTREMELY severe stomach pain.
