Diarrhea, gas, and stomach pain? My friend is too embarrassed to ask this himself, but it does make me wonder because I had faced this years ago. He has an ironclad stomach, but sometimes it doesn't handle "everything". He had came back home from a long trip and rummaged through the fridge to find a piece of fried fish which that age was unsure. Instead of using common sense and throwing it away, he decides to consume it to make sure of the freshness or possibly poor condition of the meat. Guess what happened shortly after... Regardless of his stupid decision, I suggested he take pink bismuth/pepto bismol for his upset stomach(that's what helped me when I had diarrhea). Unfortunately he had done this, as well consume ginger as to help his upset stomach, to which either case didn't help. I asked him to check with a doc, but he is stubborn and refuses since he doesn't have insurance. He described his symptoms simply as: gassy (stomach rumbles extremely loud, I am also witness to that) diarrhea stomach pain(presumably from the gas) He is dreading Irritable Bowel Syndrome( I highly doubt that, plus its not in his family history supposedly), aside from that, he claimed that his stomach rumbles violently after he eats something, and then gas pains occur, then followed with diarrhea. What I'm trying to ask is, given the situation, the Diarrhea is triggered from the bad fish(most likely food poisoning?). What can he do, aside from seeing the "dreaded" doctor, to overcome this problem? He said he can use castor oil, but thats for when you are constipated, that would only make matters worse. If the problem is in his stomache, is there any way to flush it from his system?
Why do I have continuous stomach pain/gas after the stomach flu? I had the stomach flu from December 25th to December 29th. On the 29th I was able to eat soup, crackers and other bland foods without diarrhea. On the 31st I even went out to eat at a Chinese restaurant and I was able to keep it down. However each morning I've been waking up with stomach pain, usually in the form of gas. I've never had any morning stomach problems before the stomach flu. Additionally sometimes I throw up small amounts of food but for the most part I keep food down. Are these still after effects of the stomach flu or something serious? If they're after effects, how long should I wait for them to subside? Timeline - 25th - Stomach Flu starts 29th - Stomach Flu ends, able to keep down soup and bland food 31st - Chinese Restaurant, able to keep it down Jan 2nd - Still having morning stomach pain Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have had alot of gas and stomach pain lately? Im 14 and during school (i dont use the bathroom at all there) i have alot of gas and around end of day it hurts reaaaaly bad and if i hold it in it makes a weird noise. I also hold my urine in all day becasue i hate school bathrooms. But like it seems after i let out gas in between periods it comes back in 10-15 minutes. WHY?
stomach/rib/ gas pain h pylori? about 3 months ago I had h pylori I went to the doctor and he gave me antibiotics and omeprazole. about 7 days into the treatment I started experience stomach pain really bad. but kept taking the meds. after the full 2 weeks treatment I started to feel better. however, the only symptom I have is lots of gas. I burp about 50 times a day. if I would put my hand on my left rib i can feel the gas moving around back and forth. and its causing me little pain. The pain gets worse especially when i have lots of gas my rib and lower part of the stomach hurts. It only get better when I pass gas then I feel better. I want to emphasis that the pain is only located on the left side, (left rib, low ever stomach.) I would like to know is anyone else experience these kind of symptoms. I been feeling like this now for 3 months. P.S. about a 2 weeks ago I had esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) done the doctor said that my stomach is fine. The only thing she found was some scaring from the h pylori and little bit of inflammation. Thank you

STOMACH PAIN?!? well last week my sisters stomach was hurting alot but she couldnt go to the restroom it would go away & then come back , it was on the upper stomach and it was like a sharp feeling it was for like 2 days & then it went away slowly. it came back today and its hurting her! she went to the restroom two times already. she says that its like alot of gas in her stomach , but she cant get it out & yeah. what can she do ? is there any over the counter medicine?

Stomach/gas Pain or Hunger? Last night my stomach began to hurt before i slept. i didnt know if it was stomach pain or hunger. i even took immodium. Throughout the day. i ate a lot. first i had cereal mixed with bananas and cashews, for lunch i had two big plates of seafood and 3 icecreams for dessert at a buffet. for dinner i had 1 plate of seafood, and pineapple and papaya for dessert. an hour later i had a took a huge crap, before i slept my stomach began to gurgling noises and then it cramped. Im 15. my height is 5'7 and i weigh 135lbs. i always eat 4 to 5 small meals throughout the day. Today was the only day i've ever pigged out. i work out every other day.

Stomach gas pain and fever? I've been having pressure and pain in my stomach and abdoman area right below my breastbone which feels better when I burp. I also had a fever of about 102 which broke after 24 hours, but the pain is still there. Does this sound like a gall bladder problem, or just some stomach bug?
upper stomach pain, gas, shortness of breath? Last Saturday I left my friends daughter's birthday party with the most severe pain in my upper stomach, chest and back. I couldn't even drive. I took my mother's anti-acid pills and I felt almost back to normal within an hour. I also experienced some gas too. Then again this morning as soon as I got in my car to drive to work, I experienced the same things again, except this time much worse. I could almost compare the pains to labor pains except in my upper stomach. There was tightness in my chest and I was short of breath. This lasted the whole hour drive to work. I took 2 pepcid completes and drank some water and now half the day is over and the pain, yet not as severe as this morning, keeps coming and going. Could it be gallstones? IBS? I have a DR. appointment today at 4. They said they may want to do an EKG on me just in case...BTW, I'm 23 years old.
What Causes Nausea, stomach pain, bloating, gas, Clay colored poop, Painful bowel movements? I have been sick for over about two weeks and been to ER twice. Every thing makes me sick. They have done a CT, and Pelvic exam. They have given me Darvocet and Phenegran. Nothing is helping and all they have found is a Cyst on my liver and one on my ovary. What do I do? HORRIBLE GAS PAIN/LOWER STOMACH PAIN DURING PERIOD? so my pains woke me up at like 6 this morning. the day i get my period i have HORRRIBLE stomach pains it almost feels like REALLY bad gas pains [without farting] or like those stomach pains you get when you have diarreah. it's bad. i took two midol one aleve and two gas x's. i don't know if its gas but sometimes when i take gas x it gets a little better. does anyone know whyyy this happens or if it's gas or something else? anyone know anything i can take to make it go away? the pain gets REALLY REALLY severe to the point where im crying and rolling around and then subsides for a minute or so and then throbs back and yeah. ):
Gnawing stomach pain and gas? 2 days ago, my stomach started hurting, kind of a gnawing, annoying pain at the epigastrium. Then, yesterday it didn't hurt at all..but i had lots of intestinal gas towards the end of the day. Today, starting at 11am, the stomach started gnawing again. It feels like there is some gas in there too, but it also feels like the lining is quite irritated. What can I do? I don't wanna go to the doctor too soon.
Might I be lactose intolerant if (only) recently I've been having stomach pain/gas after drinking milk? I've always drank a LOT of milk (I'm 20 now) and never had any problems. Lately I've been drinking it more than normal (2/3 pints a day, in one go) and I noticed afterwards I'd feel sort of bloated, sometimes with stomach pain from trapped gas. Those are my only symptoms however, and nothing close to other symptoms normally related with lactose intolerance (e.g. nauseau/diarrhea). Could this be the start of lactose intolerance, even though I'm almost 21 and never had problems before? Or can other things contribute to poor milk digestion in 'normal' people (malnutrition/ or just too much in one go!)? Edit: I don't think I have problems with general dairy food products, but then again I hardly eat them. I do have similar problems with probiotic yogurt but then I suspect that's the probiotic bacteria that doesn't agree with me, rather than the lactose.
severe stomach gas pain...? 3 months back i delivered a baby ...and after delivery i am getting severe gas pain occasionally...at that time i take antiacid and i will throw up then the pain will ease.... anyone experiencing same problem?
What can one do for severe stomach pain? My brother has been suffering for a couple months now with severe stomach pain, gas, acid, and nausea, accompanied sometimes with sore throat and sinus problems. He has been to more than one doctor, and they have done little to help him. He is taking prevacid and taking fiber supplements because they said he had Irritable Bowel Syndrome. He is losing weight rapidly. He cannot eat. Does anyone have a clue how he can be helped?

Stomach pain& gas for past week I have started having stomach pain for over a week now. I feel fine throughout the day and then all of a sudden I get stomach pain that feels like I'm gassy, bloated, need to go to the bathroom. Sometimes I go to the bathroom, have a bowel movement, sometimes the bowel movement is soft but not diarrhea and other times I'm a little constipated. I feel like this several times a day maybe about 8 to 10 times a day. Sometimes I go to the bathroom and pee a little bit and maybe have a small bowel movement and then I feel like I have to go again within a few moments. What is causing this pain and should I see a doctor. It has only been 1 week , I thought I was feeling like this after I had ate something bad and my stomach was upset. But it has been a week now. I am able to continue regular daily activities but then all of a sudden I get that feeling in my stomach where I feel gassy and my stomach is bubbling. Please help me as to what may be the issues. 16 weeks pregnant and stomach cramps/gas pains every evening? Four nights ago I started getting stomach cramps and feeling the need to use the bathroom. The first night I had semi loose bowel movement but the past 3 nights the pain has not been accompanied by LBM, just gas and the feeling of needing to go bathroom. It only happens around dinner time, sometimes before and sometimes after eating. I'm not sure if I have some kind of food poisoning or if this is pregnancy related. Anyone have something like this before? Know what it might be?
Lower back pain, gas pain, stomach pain, left side cramping, and heart hurts? For the past 5 days I've had a lot of pain in my lower back, abdominals, my left side cramps up real bad, and my heart hurts. I've also been very gassy and it hurts sOOO bad. I got really sick 7 months ago with.... fever, headache, vomitting, abdominal pain so bad i couldn't walk, diarrhea, and bloody diarrhea. I was sick for 2 weeks and had lost about 10 pounds and got very skinny. i went to 4 doctors that couldn't tell me what was wrong....it had either been ulcerative colitis (my uncle has it which increases my risk) OR a parasitic infection called giardia that had been transmitted by a ferret i had bought 7 days before getting ill...... the doc wanted a colonoscopy but i refused.......i had a stool sample that came back negative for everything (eggs/parasites, etc. everything NEGative!)...... i was put on metronidazole which is an antibiotic which seemed to wipe it out in about a week......... but NOW i'm back to hurting again.......... my symptoms are listed at the top of the question... i've been pooping a lot (about 3-6 times daily) and sometimes it's diarrhea..... my pain isn't as bad as it was 7 months ago because i can still walk BUT i've been trying to workout (i workout about 6 days a week, eat 1800 calories a day, and eat completely healthy)......... and I can't workout anymore because i hurt so much....... i can still lift weights but i can't do cardio or elliptical...... i have gas pain sooo BADLY on a daily basis no matter what i eat..... Can anyone offer advice or something that can fix this????? i've tried gasX and beano but they didn't work......
Stomach pains (not period, not gas) stabbing pain...burning acid? I've been occasionally getting these stomach pains that feel like daggers in the lining of my stomach. It's a burning feeling like acid and it sometimes lasts for 5 minutes and other times for a few hours. I doesn't have to do with my diet because I get these pains when I eat normally. It's not period related or gas related? Do you get these? Do you know what they are? Thanks :)
Is it normal to have really bad stomach pain at 10 weeks? I am 10 weeks pregnant today and I am having extreme pressure in my stomach. It feels like gas pains, but I don't have gas or any gurgling going on. Is this normal? I am starting to get worried. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!!
bloating,gas,feeling full,stomach pain on lower right side. What could it be? For about 6 to 8 weeks I have had bad gas, bloating pain on right side of stomach and I always feel full never get hungry but im not losing weight even though i work out everyday. The gas and bloating gets worse once I eat. I also always feel like i have to urinate sometimes when i go i pass very little urine. My cycles are heavy with lots of clotting and pain which is always worse on one side. My Dr has scheduled an ultrasound but in the mean time does any one have any clue on what this might be oh yeah my Dr also said my uterus was larger than normal or in other words swollen but i am not pregnant she did a pregnancy s test.
natural way to treat severe gas/ stomach pains w/o antacids? I'm on Avelox for a sinus/ ear infection and while the antibiotic is making that go away it is giving me intense gas and very bad stomach pains. Is there a way to ease these symptoms or atleast stop the gas WITHOUT antacids? The directions on the Avelox say that I should not take antacids while on it because it will interact and make the antiobiotic absorb improperly. Are there any home remedies to get rid of gas? Please help!
gas pain stomach ache - cure? ive been having major stomach cramps in my stomach area (top part of my stomach.. not lower abdomen) and passing MAJOR amounts of gas. i only had diarrhea once, after that it was normal. i am lactose intolerant, but this is not my normal lactose effect..i have a feeling there is some sort of bacteria from food poisoning causing all this gas.. what should i do?

For the past year, ive been diagnosed with gastritis and recently im not even sure about what i have, everytime i eat i get alot of grumbling in my stomach, Loud sometimes, and i feel it and when i use the restroom i have alot of gas that sometimes cause diarrhea. So im not sure whats going on with me, I heard that when you have gastritis you lose the b12 in you. So i started drinking vitamins. Stomach pain, gas, feeling bloated... periodically for years?? So this happens from time to time and more frequent than I like (I'm in my late twenties). I've been to see a specialist and they had found H. pylori... this was last year... no ulcers. They said it won't really ever go away. So it could be that, but I'm also wondering if certain foods I eat play a role. Last night (and just about every day) I ate an orange right before bed. I can do it most times and be OK, but last night I wasn't so lucky. I know oranges have a lot of acid and can affect the stomach... but I don't know. For H.Pylori they make you take Prilosec OTC for 14 days w/ a pepto tablet. Any advice/help would be appreciated.

Help..my six week old baby is suffering from alot of gas, and stomach pain? she was changed to soy milk on her second day in the hospital. She was still having alot of problem with gas and stomach pain.. so i tried similac sensitive which is lactose free. She had a horrible time with it so I put her back on soy. She is still having the problems. I switched bottles to Dr. Brown's and Playtex drop ins. I just want some relief for my poor baby. I can't breastfeed...just won't produce milk. I also use gas drops and have tried gripe water... don't think she is has colic.. dont colic babies cry for hours at a time...she does not
Stomach Pain! Is it gas or something else? I am having problem with gas and indigestion for a while - nothing serious. However yesterday I have developed this pain - bang in the center of the upper stomach - meaning in the region of the last rib and right in the middle. If I remember my biology then its where the food pipe enters the stomach. I would like to know if its gas or something else. Will see the doctor on Tuesday but some suggestions in the meantime will be great.
Stomach pain, lots of gas, extreme bloating everytime I eat.? I have had stomach issues my whole life. For the past year they have gotten alot worse. I have really bad bloating, gas and stomach pains almost everytime I eat, no matter what I eat. I have seen a gastroenteralogist (however its spelled) who advised me that I have IBS and may be lactose intolerant. I think he doesnt know what the problem is so he said its IBS. I really do not fit the symptoms of someone with IBS as this happens when I eat. What the heck is wrong with me?

How can tell if stomach pains are gas, touch of food poisoning or something else? I have a painful bubbling gas in my stomache and have had it for 3 days now and it won't go away. At first I thought it was just gas but now I'm wondering if I might have a touch of food posing or something like the stomache flu. These pains have kept me up for 2 nights now, I am so tired, I can't do anything with out doubling over from the pain. I have tried to eat but I just can't. When I drink coke, sprite, or something that makes me burp it feels somewhat better but not completely better. I do not have medical insurace and I don't have the money to go to the doctor so, if there is anyone out there that has any suggestions on what I should do please let me know.
Constant diarrhea, nausea, loss of appetite, pain in stomach, painful gas...? For about the last 4 months, I have been dealing with these symptoms and I don't know why. I am an otherwise healthy 27 year old mother of two. Every time I eat, no matter what it is, I have to rush to the bathroom with horrible stomach pains (that even wake me up at night). I once had my stool tested for parasites, which turned up nothing. I all the time have a bloated feeling and very bad painful gas with it. I take over the counter meds in hopes of helping the symptoms which only helps short term. Not to be gross, but my stool is always very loose and yellow in color. I have developed some hemorrhoids and they do sometimes bleed when I have an episode.... (not a lot, just a few spots on clothing). I get this "I'm hungry" feeling, but when I try to eat I almost vomit. I have to pretty much force myself to eat. I could be starving, but nothing at all sounds appealing.... Has anyone had any similar problems? Outcomes? Any words of wisdom are greatly appreciated. Thanks!
stomach pain and gas daily? it is sometimes a sharp pain and also at times like a bubbly feeling. i have gas with it, and it is uncomfortable at times. almost every day for about a year and a half. all opinois accepted!! no, milk doesnt do it. i was thinking perhaps maybe it's my nerves. it happens mostly at school like is i get nervous. at home doing normal tasks, and eating normal food i am fine.
Stomach pain after eating, gas, constipation and anal itch? Everything time I eat I have bad gas, bloating and stomach pain...plus for nearly 2 years now I've been constipated, having a bowel movement ever 3-5 days and have suffered from what I would consider to be moderate anal itching (which can sometimes become severe). Within the last 2 weeks I've changed my diet to omit dairy products which has helped with the stomach pain, but I still have bad gas, bloating, constipation and itching. Stomach pain, is it gas or something else? I have this pain that comes and goes in the upper part of my stomach. It is like gas but I do not have to burp or toot. Every few days or so after I eat through the course of the day at the end of the day i start to have lower back pain following by a painfull pressure inside below my belly button. Why does anxiety cause physical syptoms such as constant stomach bloating, gas, back pain? This is embarrassing having to ask this but im not sure if i should see a doctor or if it may just be a bug invading my intestinal tract? if anyone knows please help me out!
What to do about Bad gas and stomach pain? Okay my bf occasionally ( once every couple months) gets HORRIBLE stomach pains and gas, and when he does go to the bathroom it smells like a dead animal, being completely serious. Does he have worms or does he just need to eat more balanced? He doesn't eat what his family makes him because they eat a lot of fried foods, so he just eats mainly sandwiches, which is also not good nutrition. Sometimes he takes enemas or other laxatives to relieve the pain. What are your suggestions? ( serious only) he's actually 22 and I mean, not just stinky, it smells like rotting death or something

What is wrong with my stomach? Pain, gas, etc.? This morning around 2am I woke up with a sharp pain in my stomach (above my belly button. So my actual stomach I guess) It felt like someone stabbed me and was twisting a knife around. I puked a couple of times, went number two more than 4 times already. I'm not pregnant, I'm an 18 year old girl. The pain has lessened its more like discomfort now and still hurts but barely. Its almost noon as well. I'm bloated and have gas. Was it something I ate? The past couple of days I had two burritos, some french fries, a pop tart, a brot(which I think was the source) and some mac and cheese. And soda today because I read carbonated beverages are good for tummy aches. I had some bread because I wasn't sure if I was hungry or just in pain. I think its just pain. Thanks anyways. Im also burping alot more than I usually do. And my stomach is constantly gurgling. I dont feel hungry either, I just feel a tummy ache. D:
Stomach pains when laying down/getting up and coughing, gas pain? Alright so last time I had sex was back in middle of October. I took a pregnancy test two weeks later, it said negative. I never looked back. Ive had light periods since then. But, I am now a month late for my period. For the past week and a half I have had stomach pains when getting out of bed or a chair or getting in one as well as when I cough and laugh. I get constipated sometimes and also experience gas pains. I have been urinating frequently. Sometimes I get back pain as well. Does anyone know what this could be?
I think I have a parasite, and I think it is running in my family. We are have diarreah, gas stomach pain,? but it does not happen everyday, sometimes it does and it last a few days goes away and then comes back. Gas like Stomach Pain Help? Please? For awhile now I have been getting this awful pain in my stomach after I eat. It doesn't happen after every time I eat, only some times it seems at random. It feels like very powerful gas pain, but I am unable to pass gas. It seems the only way for it to go away is to wait a long period of time and burp/pass gas is out. Severe stomach/gas pain, need help? First of all, I am a seventeen year old. I have just recently started birth control three and a half months ago, and I will never have unprotected sex. I really hope pregnancy isn't the cause of my problem because i have taken soooo many precautions steps its crazy. My pain started about four days ago, it is an extremely sharp stabbing pain in my abdomen, that in return makes me feel like I am going to be sick/makes my throat burn. My least favorite part of this is the fact that all of the sudden whenever I burp I basically cry because it hurts that bad. My stomach is extremely bloated, even though i just had my period a week and a half ago. It also seems like I can feel the gas/pain moving around in my stomach and I can hear it. It also causes a sharp pain in my chest when I burp that will last about five seconds and then subside.. The worst times for this are have been for about ten minutes when i wake up, then again around 900 am for about forty five minutes and then it seems to be less painful until i eat and drink. I immediately feel all of the pain and can hardly eat because i feel like i will throw up, as well as feeling the pain of the immediate, excessive burping. It will then subside about an hour after eating, come back at dinner time and bother me for another hour or two and then go away until the next morning. I'm sorry for such a long message, but I am afraid of what is going on. (ps, the pain doesnt seem to be in my lower abdomen, but more up where my "fat pouch"/flat part is if that makes sense? pretty much my whole stomach) i am also not constipated, i make sure i use the bathroom at least once a day because of this issue

Panic attacks, stomach pain and gas? Ok so.. I always get these weird panic attacks like once a month. There always at night, when I'm in bed. They come out of NOWHERE! It's very annoying. That day, I had a ton of cookies and like 3 cans of soda. I'm terrible I know. I don't have soda that often. that night in bed It first starts with stomach and bloating pain. Then I start going into a panic mode. I can't stop thinking about my stomach pain and the bad gas(not farting(lol) just pain in my lower instestin) I feel like I'm going to die. I feel the need to burp to make me feel better. I went to the bathroom and (akward, but whatever) I tryed to go #2. and I couldn't. so I went back to bed, and I felt normal for like 5 minutes, and then it came back! It's very annoying. Its Longer than I've ever had one. I went to sleep and I woke up ok. Feeling fine, as always! But I was about to leave for the bus stop and it happend again. I got gas pain. and stomach pain. I got scared. I toke a gasx. and it helped with the bloating a little and my panic attack went away. I had stomach pain and a little bloating though the day, till I went to the nurse and got a tums in 2nd hour. Then I was okay by 4th hour. I feel fine now, but I'm scared that it's gonna happen agian. I don't want to eat much, because of it. And I can't stop thinking that I'm gonna have one again. What's going on!!??? Help! <3 jenn

constant stomach/gas pain? What's wrong with me? It started on friday when it was the worst. Yesterday i woke up with an awfull stomach ache so i went to the bathroom and i had massive diarrhea, and they lasted all day. today i woke up with the pain again, the same diarrhea, but with gas and burping. the burping is gone now and the gas is rare but the diarrhea and stomach pain are still here. also my stomach makes growling noises and earlier it was gurgling before i passed gas. i have had a cold for about a week now but this just started. what is going on? also the burps tasted vomit like. and i keep getting the feeling im going to throw up but when i get to the bathroom or get a bowl it stops just like its teasing me. :( if it helps i havent eaten anything besides a small bowl of cheerios since it started. i only drank ice water.
15 weeks pregnant - Upper stomach pain, bad gas/gas pains? My stomach has been really bothering me lately, not my belly but my actual stomach. I feels like it's burning sometimes and it hurts (can't explain the pain) when I lay on my side. I'm also just starting to get bad gas that won't go away! It even bumps my stomach because there's so much of it (sorry TMI) but the worst part is sometimes it won't pass and I get horrible gas pains. When I go Out and if I drink alcohol or am sober, after sometime I get pains In my stomach and feel like I have to pass wind or go to The toilet but don't really have to, the pain normally goes up to my heart/chest also.
