Foot pain? What remedies can i do for foot pain? I have flat feet also. I guess people with flat feet are more prone to foot pain.
foot pain...? I wonder if my doctor can be wrong about my foot pain and it's cause. He stated tendonitis in my achilles tendon and told me to take Aleve and use a heel cup. I already wear custom sized orthotics which have worked for two years. The pain starts in the back of my heel where my achilles tendon attaches, there is also a bump there. Activity makes it worse, even as little as 3 miles, and rest makes it dissipate, but never fully. When the pain is bad, it also radiates up the side of my foot, all the way up to the ankle. I have followed Dr. advice and no improvement. I miss running - a LOT, and I am frustrated. My shoes are new, and I have the right shoes, fitted by a specialist. And I have $200 custom sized orthotics. I am quite heavy and that has always exacerbated my repetitive stress injuries, but in 3 years, 3 half marathons, and 1 full, never a problem this stubborn. Does anyone have any advice?
Foot Pain? I have been having really bad foot pain along the top of my foot. I'm in cross country and it hurts so bad when I run. It's my right foot. I don't know what's wrong with it. I thought it was my sneakers, but after buying new ones the pain was still there. I've had a orthopedic doctor (if that's what there called) tell me the bottom of my foot is unusually flat, but I don't know if that had anything to do with this. I'm seeing a doctor soon, but is there any information you can share with me beforehand?
What causes foot pain in the heal when bending down or pulling the toes back? I have a pain in the back of my heal when I stetch out my Achilles tendon, however the pain is not the achilles. It generates from the right side of my left foot approximately halfwayy between the ankle bone and the bottom of the foot slighty off centered from the achilles. It usually hurts when I bend my foot. The pain is a sharp sting that feels like something is tearing. The pain doesn't last long when it occurs. It feels like whatever is generating the pain is not deep inside the foot.

Can an over sized running shoe be the cause of foot pain? I went to Foot Locker to get some Air Force Ones and decided to measure what size I am, I was an 11, but I already bought a size 12 running shoe! I tried an 11 sized shoe in Academy and it was quite tight, like the sides were, lol. I think I got a wide foot that's why. P: And I got foot pain, could it be because of that? Thanks! :D PS: It fits very well, but the only thing is that there is still some area left between my big toe and the top of the shoe.

What's the most effective way to conquer foot pain? My mom has had severe foot pain for the last year, it get's so debilitating that she can't walk at times. She has been seeing a podiatrist, who referred her to physical therapy, which she has been going to and following through on, but it doesn't seem to be helping. I told her that it may get worse before it get's better. I know that losing weight would help her immensly, but other than that, I'm not really sure. I know what helps me with my feet is when I (or my husband) squeeze my heel pretty hard for about 10 seconds, and then let go and massage the area, and when I stick my fingers in between my toes and spread them apart, and I have told my mom that but she is to afraid to try it, I have been trying to find a website to support my theory, but have had no success. Any suggestions would be appreciated!! Oh yeah, she has heel spurs.

How should I treat my foot pain? A year ago I broke my fifth metatarsal and was placed in a cast. The bone healed, yet I am still suffering pain which is worse at some times than others. I figure this is just something I'm going to have to live with, but I need some advice on how to deal with it. Specifically, should I use heat or ice to alleviate the pain? Should I be exercising the foot to build up muscles or should I be resting it?
I have foot pain from running in a 5k race. Has anyone had the same symptoms and if so what is the treatment? I have been running for one year consistently (with no pain). I am 25 yrs old (190 lbs). Three weeks ago I ran in a 5k race. In the 5k, I ran normal until the end of the race. At the end I sprinted as fast as I could for ¼ of a mile. Once the race was over I felt good with no pain. At home, I took my shoes off, took 10 steps and began to feel pain only in my right foot (on the back outside not on the ball) every step I took. I thought I pulled a muscle and didn’t think much about it. After limping two weeks and taking an entire bottle of ibuprofen, I began to feel better and was able to walk without a limp and not noticeable pain. After the two weeks I also played some tennis and with hardly any pain. Today (3 weeks later) I decided to run again (2 miles). Halfway through the run (1 mile) I felt the pain again. My foot again is very tender. Do I need new shoes? Is this Plantar Fasciitis. What about flat feet? Should I see a doctor? Will it ever go away? Please help. Can one jog with slight pain in foot? My problem is that after due to jogging I have developed slight pain in the lower side of my left foot. Pain is maximum when I get up in the morning but it goes away after a little walk. I heve not yet consulted any doctor since the pain is not much but it is there for nearly two month without any improvement. I have stopped jogging fearing that the problem may get worse by jogging. From internet I understand this type pain (Plantar fasciitis) is not serious but takes time to heal, sometimes even one year or more. I do not want to wait that long to start jogging. Already I am feeling very bad due to lack of jogging. Jogging was the only vigorous physical activity for me. Nowadays I feel lethargic. Can anybody suggest if I can neglect the pain and start jogging. There is no expert here whom I can consult about the problem.

What are good home remedies for leg and foot pain? My cousin is suffering from leg and foot pain. I suggested the idea of putting a bar of soap underneath her fitted sheet near the foot of her bed, as I have heard that it does wonders. She and my aunt were very skeptical and refused to bend their minds around the notion that it could work. I told them that there is no harm in trying such a cheap and simple method. (They hold firm to the belief that they are stupid but reject new ideas, and I know that I cannot persuade or force them to do something they don't want to do.) An official sort of article might help cement the legitimacy of the soap solution (if anyone knows of a link), but I was also wondering about any other home remedies for leg and foot pain.
